“Kenya power stealing from us” Pilipili’s protégé African Supaman steps into the industry with a fierce attitude

New kid on the block African Supaman has made his debut with a hard hitting jam. He takes a swipe at politicians and companies ‘exploiting’ Kenyans in a new track dubbed  ‘The Weatherman’.

Charles Kibira aka African Superman was mentored by former Genge sensation Pilipili. The budding artist briefly lived with his role model Pilipili in 2016 to learn from him in a bid to jump start his career.

Charles started out as a musician in 2011 but didn’t feel he was good enough. The 25-year-old singer from Nanyuki discovered his talent for music after returning to Kenya from US where he had stayed for eight years.

The breakthrough

African Superman as stepped in the game with a fierce attitude singing about the problems faced by Kenyans today. He dropped ‘The Weatherman’ which is a call to action for all to speak up and stand up for what’s right.

“Kenya got so many greedy politicians and the people that they follow, Kenya Power stealing from us… And the taxes rising higher…” African Superman sings in part in his song.

Currently, the African Supaman’s journey has just began as he in the process of promoting his EP album. He has also been making covers and mashups for the social media and radio/TV tours.
