Lupita Nyong’o Remembers Chadwick Boseman On The First Anniversary Of ‘Wakanda Forever’

Award-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o has taken to social media to commemorate the one-year anniversary of the release of the second sequel of the American superhero film, “Wakanda Forever.” The film served as a farewell to the late Chadwick Boseman, who played the role of T’Challa, the king of Wakanda.

In an Instagram post, Nyong’o wrote, “One year ago, we released ‘Wakanda Forever’ to the world. It was our farewell song to T’Challa, to Chadwick Boseman, whom we had to let go of way too soon.”

She went on to express her gratitude to the fans of the film, saying, “The fans were ready to receive it, and we felt the love all around the world, from LA to London, to Lagos.”

Nyong’o also shared some of the lessons she has learned about grief since Boseman’s passing. “I have learned so many lessons on grief recently, and the most valuable is how important it is not to grieve alone.”

The actress concluded her post by thanking the fans of the “Black Panther” franchise for their loyalty and love.

“Thank you to every honorary Wakandan out there for your loyalty and love!” she wrote.

Boseman died in December 2020 at the age of 43 after a battle with colon cancer. His death was a major loss for the film industry and the world, as he was a talented and beloved actor.

Nyong’o’s tribute to Boseman is a touching reminder of the impact he had on those who knew him and his work. It is also a reminder of the power of community and shared grief.
