Man who saved family from lion attack and his wife speak

Michael Apaiyu and Susan Chebet, a couple who recently faced a wild animal attack, have shared their harrowing experience. According to Mr. Apaiyu, they were ambushed by a wild animal on the road.

“Itlinirukia ikanifikia kwa kifua ikaniangusha chini na ilikuwa inataka kuniuma shingo. Niliishika mdomo na nikaambia wife aniletee panga, akaikata na ikamrukia ikamuumiza mguu, tukaiacha hapo ikiuguza majeraha. Tukaondoka,” he recounted to Zunguka TV.

Following the incident, the couple sought medical attention and received a visit from Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) officers to check on their well-being.
