Mt Kenya guide dies rescuing British tourist

Kelvin Muriuki Mwithi, a well-known tour guide, passed away.
While attempting to save a 60-year-old British climber named Shilpa Shah as they descended from Peak Lenana on Mount Kenya, Mithi fell to her death.

The Sun claims that on the popular Naro Moru trail, which is favored by hikers, the two tragically fell over the precipice between Lenana and the Austrian Hut.

As they faced the notoriously snowy slope, Shah was reportedly one of eight women climbers who also witnessed the tragic fall.
Due to bad weather on Friday afternoon, rescue personnel had to make three efforts to retrieve the bodies.
Sammy Young, a well-known Mugithi artist, is the brother of Mwithi.
