New twist as Monica Kimani’s handbag is found at Jacque Maribe’s house

Jacque Maribe has spent two nights in police custody after she was arrested on Saturday September 29th in connection with the murder of Monica Kimani.

Police believe Joseph Irungu is the one who brutally murdered Monica while Jacque Maribe is an accomplice in the crime, detective believe she was helping Irungu to get rid of any evidence that would link him to Monica’s murder.

The Star reports that Maribe was arrested after detectives recovered some documents, among them a wallet and a handbag believed to belong to Monica at her house in Royal Park, Lang’ata.

More journalists to be grilled

Three other journalists have been summoned for interrogation in relation to Monica’s murder. According to the Nation, police are seeking the statements of a radio presenter, a TV director, and news presenter.

The journalists are to appear at DCI on Monday, they are expected to divulge more details in relation to what they know about Jackie Maribe and her fiancé’s connection to the murder.
