Pascal Tokodi and wife, Grace Ekirapa open up about losing their first pregnancy

Pascal Tokodi and Grace Ekirapa have come out to reveal that their current pregnancy is not their first. Yes, back in 2021 the two had already conceived and were now preparing for their first child just two years after they got married – but unfortunately lost in June 2021.

However as y’all already know, the two are currently pregnant with their second child; an unborn baby they consider a blessing and of course a rainbow baby who was conceived right after their big storm in 2021, the miscarriage.

Speaking about their painful past and current blessing, Pascal and Grace Ekirapa held a special event this past weekend to give thanks for the far they have come; a day that he described as,

This day was beautiful in every way. We chose to have a very intimate gathering because we needed to share that beautiful day with people who have in one way or another held our hands through this journey.

 

Details of the miscarriage

Having held back from sharing details of their private life; Pascal for the first time briefly shared details of their first pregnancy saying;

It has been a tough journey…we are here now giving thanks. This is our second try, we lost our first try around June. It was hard…but we are here again and we thank God. With 8 months now…we’re going to 9 months…we are hoping for many more years.

Grace Ekirapa on the other hand described this journey as long – probably because of the mental and physical pain she faced during her miscarriage; then again, barely months after losing her first pregnancy – she found herself pregnant again.

This one was different because we have had a journey that has been quite long but also fulfilling. Saying it is our baby’s thanksgiving is because indeed we are where we are…our hearts are full. We have prayed, we have cried, we have had our moments…held hands and we have reached here.
