Pastor Ng’ang’a daughter demands cash gifts only for her wedding

The second child of Neno Evangelism founder Pastor James Ng’ang’a, Grace Neema Wanjiku Maina, is about to start a new chapter in her life when she marries Shem Mugo on December 23, 2023.

Pastor James Ng’ang’a and his late wife Esther had four children total when Wanjiku was born. According to an invitation received by Nairobi News, the wedding ceremony is set to begin at 10:00 am at Neno Evangelism Centre.

“We kindly invite you to our wedding, blessed by the families of Apostle Dr. James Maina Nganga and Dr. Gabriel Mugo Muruatetu,” the invitation said.

The couple has said clearly that they would rather receive cash gifts than other kinds of things. Wanjiku, a practicing attorney, attended Daystar University to further her education and will soon enroll in the Kenya School of Law. Shem, on the other hand, is a Nairobi-based accountant.

Pastor Ng’ang’a revealed in an exclusive interview with Nairobi News that his daughter explicitly asked for cash presents, stressing that not all wedding presents are given with good intentions.
He didn’t want them near him or his family, and he even referred to them as “uchawi gifts.”

“Not everyone sends best wishes your way during your wedding; some folks offer amusing gifts like sanitary towels and tissue paper. “My daughter asked for those who wish to give her gifts to do so in cash,” he clarified.

The second daughter of Pastor Ng’ang’a got married in March 2022, and this one is scheduled to happen soon after.

The marriage of Pastor Ng’ang’a’s other daughter, Nyambura, in a Karen garden on March 20, 2022, was an invitation-only affair. Entry was restricted to visitors holding official invitation cards, and the location was heavily guarded.

The contentious man of God has made a strong case for marriage. Ng’ang’a made a startling comparison between singles who live alone and insane individuals in one of his videos.

“Hamjaoa wale muoe haraka.” Wenu hiyo acheni ujinga. Kukaa nyumba peke yenu kama wazimu mnaenda. Those who haven’t tied the knot get hitched and put an end to their crazy single lives.
The 70-year-old father of several stated that choosing to get married is a highly private choice.
