Police officer arrested for raping woman at police station

On Sunday, a police officer in Kitui County’s Mutitu North Sub-County was detained for reportedly raping a woman who was being held in jail.

The police policeman is accused of snatching the suspect from the cells and sexually assaulting her in one of the office spaces.

The woman who was being held for the crime of malicious damage was allegedly raped in one of the station’s office spaces, according to the police.

When his fellow officer on duty, a constable, went to the bathroom and lingered too long, the cop did the horrible act.

When the officer’s wife entered the room and saw the cop and the suspect in the act, the incident took a dramatic turn.

The woman had visited the police station in an effort to find her husband, who had gone missing.

“She went to the report office but she did not find her husband. While there she heard two people conversing in one of the rooms and she identified her husband’s voice.”

When the door was forced open, the woman was horrified to see the officer and the female suspect both in their underwear.

Using a large stick, the woman attacked the female suspect and severely injured her.

The cop was arrested for the crime of rape while the victim was taken urgently to Mutitu Sub-County Hospital for treatment and evaluation.

The officer’s wife was also arrested for the assault charge, and the two are scheduled to appear in court on Monday, August 28, 2023.
