President Uhuru’s niece Nana Gecage: Am a recovering alcoholic, i used to drink up to a crate of beer in one sitting

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s niece Nana Gecaga has opened up about her past alcohol addiction in a bold interview that left the audience in awe.

For starters, Nana Gecaga is the sister of Jomo Gecaga – president Uhuru’s personal assistant. Nana is the Managing Director of Kenyatta International Conference Centre (KICC).

Never be ashamed to ask for support

Nana Gecaga opened up about her past alcohol addiction during an interview on Churchill Show. The 40-year old revealed that she used to drink used to drink up one crate of beer in one sitting every day.

Nana further reveals that she decided to quit drinking to ‘get her life back’. She says giving up the drink is the biggest challenge she has ever had in her life.

She says that she quit drinking when she was 21. Nana discloses that it was her decision to quit drinking even though she received support.

“The one thing I can actually say to them is, tomorrow is another day and try to live or get to that day and never to ashamed or to proud to ask for support, Kenya has a lot of support and use it,” said Nana Gacaga.
