Purity Naserian: I’ve been looking for a job for 2 years, every job offer I get comes with sex as a precondition

It’s tough for Kenyans who don’t have jobs, it’s even worst for pretty women who are unemployed as they easily targeted by sex predators.

Purity Naserian narrated her ordeal in a lengthy email sent to news outlets, she only wants a job but all she gets are requests for sex before she is given the job she wants.

“Can’t women succeed in this country without warming a man’s bed?? I mean a woman cannot get a job. A career assistance without going to bed with the person who should help her. Men what’s wrong with you?? Can’t you just help a woman and be genuinely happy when she’s succeeding without you asking for sexual favors??? I have experienced this with like 10 men.

“The courage I have gained to come out and explain my pain and almost suicidal situation is satisfying enough than tarnishing a name of person/s who’s abusing his position. It even pains more when some go ahead and mock you afterwards saying you’re choosing failure upon yourself and you got no one to blame for your woes. I am left wondering if I am choosing failure over a job/assistance I cannot get because I failed to reach to your sexual demands, why make me a victim of my situation out of your inhumane self???” Wrote Purity Naserian in part.

Tarmacked for 2 years

Purity Naserian says she has been looking for a job for the last two years, she is a passionate political writer. Purity reveals that every time she approaches newspaper editors seeking a job, the men in power always want her to trade her dignity for the job.

“I have been looking for a job to sustain my education for the past two years. Not that I didn’t get a job no, I get a job after a job because I am a go getter so I go for what I feel I can deliver to perfection. To my disappointment I am told, Yes Purity you’ll get the job and I’ll be paying for example 80000 instead of 30000 if you have sex with me, allow me to call it as they phrase it, at that point I feel the world is so cruel and some human beings have become so insensitive and inhuman…why? Why? Why? If it were you, yes you who is asking to bed a woman, if it were your daughter, wife or cousin, mother how would you feel? I wish I would attach screenshots to support all this but at some point one is just fed up and depressed to a point of deleting and forgetting but once the situation keeps on popping and popping each time, One can even contemplate suicide! I know there are women who feel my pain, I know there are women who have been in my shoe it’s a depressing situation. Men what’s wrong with some of you in power? ARE DRUNK IN POWER? Don’t you have a heart?

“I am a passionate political writer, I have approached a few newspaper editors and same feedback! Would you do this for me to guarantee you that your articles will always be published?? Now I have to trade my dignity for my God given talent to be seen out there!!!! WHY? Is somebody feeling my PAIN PLEASE?? I have developed a phobia of even approaching men for assistance. For the past 6 months I choose to bury myself in my own depressions, pains and struggles but I came to realize that will not be a determinant in my destiny that’s why I came up with all this! That’s why I have decided to speak up and get assistance from the right channels if I may put it. I am fed up with depression and tired of asking myself if all I look like is a “sex object” in the eyes of a man. A man who is old enough to be my dad. I am so tired,” wrote Purity.
