Breeder LW comes through on ‘Kitu Nono Remix’ alongside Ssaru, Maandy and Boutross (Video)

The much-anticipated Kitu Nono Remix by Breeder LW, Ssaru, Maandy, Boutross Munene, Denzel Kong and Mastar VK is finally out and it’s a big tune.

If you thought the original version, which was released in December 2019, was dope then you haven’t seen anything yet because the remix is out of this word, quite literally.

To be honest, I’ve listened to Kitu Nono Remix a couple of times and the more I play it is the more I love it because it is so infectious.

All the artists who were featured on this track brought their A-Games and I find it hard to decide whose verse I loved the most because they all nailed it.

Take for instance Breeder LW who is on the first verse. His flow and wordplay skills are so dope and you just want to keep listening to him as he does his thing because it sounds so pleasant to the ears.

The two ladies on this jam i.e. Maandy and Ssaru also killed it. They both have good lyrical skills and I would not be surprised if either of them becomes Kenya’s next biggest femcee.

I’m a huge fan of Boutross Munene, who is one third of the Alliance Domini Family (ADF), so naturally you’d expect me to say that he did a good job but believe you me, he really came through on this one.

Denzel Kong and Mastar VK did not disappoint either. Both of them have some great punchlines that will leave you scratching your head as you try to make sense of it all and that is not a bad thing or is it?

I really love the beat on this jam. If you ask me, the producer deserves a pat on the back for the good work. The video is also awesome, with some impeccable shots.

Boutross comes through with ‘Shrappin Jinja’ alongside Dope-I-Mean (Video)

Boutross Munene is back! This time around, the Shrap OG has linked up with Dope-I-Mean, who is also a member of the Alliance Domini (AD) Family, to deliver a sizzling tune dubbed Shrapping Jinja.

Basically, this jam is abut how the two artist took the Shrap (Sheng and rap) culture to the streets of Jinja, one of the cities in Uganda.

Unlike Boutross’ previous releases, Shrapping Jinja is a bit laid back but that does not necessarily mean that it is not dope. Actually, I really love it.

Dope-I-Mean

As you listen to Boutross you not only get to appreciate the evolution of local rap but also his sheer creativity. He can go from singing to rapping and vice versa with so much ease.

His rhymes are so dope and well-thought out. To add to that, his flow is so effortless and you can’t help but nod as he goes about his business. Don’t even get me started on his punchlines. Put simply, Boutross is the truth.

Dope-I-Mean also has a sick flow and the best part is that he also does not try so hard to impress because it’s natural and innate.

The beat also dope because is mellow which simply means that you get to enjoy the rhymes and flow without having a hard time hearing.

The video is simple but it works since it was a very random idea that crossed their minds when they were in Uganda for the Nyege Nyege Festival.

Boutross has teamed up with Maandy on ‘Kam Thru’ and it’s big tune (Video)

Celebrated new-age rapper Boutross Munene, simply known as Boutross, has released a new track with Maandy and we are really feeling it. Like, really!

The song titled Kam Thru is all about having a good time and forgetting about the things that have been bugging you i.e. let loose a bit.

I love totally this track. The first reason is pretty obvious and that is the fact that Maandy’s voice is beautiful and you just want to keep listening to her. I mean, why am I just discovering her? Where the heck have I been?

Other than her verse, this lass also did a good job on the chorus. It is so infectious and you will find yourself singing along in no time, trust me.

As expected, Boutross nailed it too. His verse was really dope. I must admit that I totally loved how kind of he moved away from the Shrap kind of singing that we all came to know him for and gave his fans a cocktail of sorts.

His wordplay skills is also out of this world, some of the things that he says in this song will leave you scratching your head as you try to make sense of them.

To add to that, their voices really blend well together, it’s like the two of them were meant for each other. I know I’m pushing it. Sorry.

The beat and instrumentation on Kam Thru is so sick. It has elements of a love ballad and a club banger at the same time. I wouldn’t really be surprised if I saw people busting moves to this jam.

Boutross brings Sho Madjozi on board for ‘Juiceman Remix’ alongside Jovie Jovv and Kay Green (Video)

Buzzing Kenyan shrappers Boutross Munene, Kay Green (who are both members of the Alliance Domini Family) and Jovie Jovv have featured South Africa’s Sho Madjozi on the remix of their Juiceman mega hit and it’s really dope.

The joint has been ruling the airwaves since it was released a few hours ago and to be honest, we can n0t get enough of it either and understandably so.

As you listen to Juiceman Remix, you get to appreciate the evolution of Kenyan Hip Hip but also the sheer creativity of these youngins. They have a unique ability to play around with words and make it look like child’s play.

Jovie Jovv did a good job on the first verse of this track. He has a good flow and you will find yourself trying to make sense of what he is rapping about.

I’m a huge fan of Boutross and as you would expect, he also aced it. Other than his dope rhymes, the other thing that I love about this guy are his adlibs.

Kay Green also came through. However, I have to admit that the first time I listened to his verse, I kind of felt like he had some basic rhymes but I loved it eventually.

Sho Madjozi did not disappoint either. This lass has a natural flow and I am pretty sure that it took her less than five minutes to pen down her verse.

The beat remained pretty much the same and I love how it’s a bit subtle. The video concept was also on point and as you watch it, it gives off and authentic Hip Hip vibe. We have to give it to Mike Lolly P.

The song dubbed Hit That Whoa, which is off his 6ixviewsii8k mixtape, has been getting massive airplay on local TV and radio stations since it was released a few days ago.

Just like other releases from the upcoming mixtape, I really love this song. As you listen to Boutross you not only get to appreciate the evolution of local rap but also his sheer creativity.

Notably, Grovee Joe also has a sick flow. She aced the hook for this jam and made it look like child’s play. If you have not heard of this lass before then it’s about time you knew her name.

The beat is also dope. If you are familiar with Dede’s work then I am sure you know that he never disappoints. I dare even say that this beat is the catchiest on the songs that have been released so far.

The song titled Mbona, which is off his 6ixviewsii8k mixtape, has been getting massive airplay on local radio stations since it was released a few days ago.

If you listen to the song keenly, you’ll notice the two alter egos that formed the basis of this mixtape. At some point it seemed like someone else was on the track yet he’s all alone.

The beat is also dope. If you are familiar with Ceezy’s work then I am sure you know that he never disappoints. I dare even say that this beat is the catchiest this far.

The song dubbed Juju is a cover of a 2006 classic by Nameless an Mr. Lenny which goes by the same title and boy he totally nailed it.

Unlike the original version, Boutross’ rendition has a rap – or is it shrap – verse and believe you me, this made such a big difference. To add to that, the two songs are similar but different. You catch my drift?

Perhaps the most amazing thing about this song is listening to Boutross sing. You know, we are used to him rapping but in this jam, he singing in most parts. This chap is really talented.

The beat on this jam is also on point. If you are familiar with Lemario’s work then I am sure you know that he never disappoints. I dare even say that this beat is more catchy than the original one.

I honestly can’t wait it hear more songs from Boutross’ mix tape titled 6ixviewsii8k because from the look of things it is totally fire. Enough said.

Kenyan rapper Boutross Munene, who is one third of the Alliance Domini (AD) Family, has released a new song with TNT and it slaps really hard. Like, really.

The song dubbed Chase is definitely one of my favourite songs from Boutross in 2019 because his lines are absolutely amazing and you just want to keep listening to him. It almost seems like he is imparting knowledge in this song.

His vocals are also dope. I don’t know what word best describes his voice but the fact that it’s a bit coarse makes such a big difference compared to the normal voice.

TNT’s verse was also fire. However, I;d have loved it more if he had thrown around some Swahili and Sheng words so that he does not sound like someone from majuu but then again maybe it’s just me.

The beat on this jam is also sick. I totally love it. It blends well with the vocals of both TNT and Boutross and it’s very catchy so much so that you will have this jam on repeat for the rest of the year which is about six weeks.

Kenyan rapper Boutross Munene, who is one third of the Alliance Domini (AD) Family, has dropped a new joint with Barak Jacuzzi it slaps really hard.

The song dubbed Bank, which is the 4th single off Boutross’ upcoming project titled 6IXViewsII8K, is about hustling hard and balling out of control.

If you’ve never listened to a Shrap song, chances are you will be head over heels from the moment you play this one. I am not kidding.

As expected, Boutross, or Bouti if you like – really came through on this jam. His flow is so dope that I kept smiling as I listened to him.

My favourite line is the part where he says, “Buda si cheque, cash, kama ni debt, dash kama ni peng, smash, all in the face, splash, eey, maybe you knew me back then but now I’m a new cat, eey, maybe you thought I was broke but I got new stash, eey.”

His rhymes are well thought out. I mean, how can you not pay homage to the Wrong hitmaker or even love Shrap for that matter? Are you even from this planet? I guess not!

Barak Jacuzzi

Anyway, Barak Jacuzzi also did a great job. His bars also had some dope bars in this jam. However, in my opinion, he stands no chance if you pit him against Boutross.

This song was produced by a chap who’s simply known as Oriedo and to be honest, he really nailed it. If you do away with the Swahili Sheng words you might think this is one of those trap jams from majuu. Props to him.

Raj has teamed up with AD Family and Alu Vee on ‘One’ and it’s totally amazing (Audio)

Kenyan rapper Rajiv Okemwa, better known as Raj, has dropped a new joint alongside AD Family and Alu Vee and it slaps really hard.

The song dubbed One is the is the sixth record off his Bae Tuesday weekly series where he drops a new jam every Tuesday from August until December.

As the title suggests, this song is about being picked by a lady as the one i.e. a destined life partner who will stick with her come what may.

Alu Vee

All the artists who were featured on this song really came through. I, however, feel that Alu Vee’s verse outshone the rest. He really brought his A-game but maybe it’s just me.

His verse goes like, “Nambari moja bila shaka, me nasaka tena me napata, gang gang gang me ni kama Zlatan, all red boy me ni lion hapa, five course meal but you just starter…”

As you would expect, Boutross also had some great punchlines on this jam perhaps this explains why he was given the opening verse.

The other thing that struck me is the subtle beat. If you follow it as the artists flow, you’ll definitely enjoy this jam.

Kenyan rapper Boutross Munene, who is famed for his Wrong hit, has dropped a new joint and we are really feeling it. No kidding.

The jam dubbed Friend Zone is all about how ladies keep you as their friends and do all manner of things around you but expect you not to catch feelings (I’m sure most if not all guys can relate to this).

As expected, Boutross came through with some dope bars and witty rhymes on this jam. He has proven to us that he is indeed the shrap lord.

The verse that really stood out for me in this jam is the part where he says, “Aay big mummy, big daddy always ready to go deep diving, I love mamas, all mamas trying to show me that big belly in the small yanas, trying to make…”

If this is not greatness, then I really don’t know what is ladies and gentlemen. I really don’t.

In as much as the song is exceptional, at some point I felt like Boutross’ vocals were lazy or should I say it’s not what we are used to.

The beat which was produced by the one and only Le Mario was also dope. It really gives you the feeling that you’re listening to a Shrap song. Props to him.

Artist Spotlight: Boutross, young rapper who is changing the game

Boutross Munene, or Bouti if you like, is one of the Kenyan rappers who is redefining local hip hop one record at a time.

The young rapper, who is one third of the Alliance Domini Family (ADF), is arguably the king of trap music in Kenya.

However, he refers to his genre as Shrap, which stands for Sheng’, which is a language mostly used by the urban youth and Rap.

Boutross is slowly making a name for himself in the local music industry thanks to his heavy punchlines, witty rhymes and lyricism.

He was introduced on the mainstream market by rapper Octopizzo who featured him on his jam dubbed Tergat Gang alongside Barak Jacuzzi.

Since then, he has made big strides individually and with his group mates Kay Green and Dope-I-Mean.

Some of his popular jams and collaborations include; Wasoro, Tahtaj, Kweli, Bonoko, Billy Jean and Safi – which happens to be my favourite.

Boutross was among the few African artists who were selected to be a part of Mr Eazi’s empowerment platform, emPawa.

Each artist reportedly received $3000 (approximately Ksh. 300,000) and he used his share to produce and record a jam titled Wrong which is a masterpiece if you ask me.
