“Help the needy instead!” Bahati trolled by Kenyans after publicly announcing his wedding plans for Diana Marua

Gospel artiste, Bahati has irked many Kenyans after publicly announcing his wedding plans for Diana Marua across his social media platforms.

The celebrity couple has been called out over time for making public, plans that instead should be ‘private’, with fans believing they are but chasing clout.

Diana Marua and Bahati

Just days after Diana hit the headlines for controversy regarding ‘petty theft’, Bahati burst the interwebs, announcing his wedding plans for the mother to his two children.

He put up a photo of his woman vowing:

Babe just after this Corona I promise to give you the Biggest/Baddest/Best Wedding that Africa has ever Witnessed ❤ Forever My #WCW @Diana_Marua

Mrs Bahati

Unfortunately, this did not sit well with Kenyans who instead took the opportunity to expose Bahati’s ‘child-like’ behavior and disregard of the ongoing calamity in the country.

Bahati to Kenyan men: Let your wife control you if you want to be happy

Singer Bahati has been married now for almost five years and he’s enjoying every bit of it. Why? Because he lets his wife Diana Marau take control.

The singer recently revealed in an interview on NTV that men who allow women to take over at home are usually happier.

Let go

The singer confessed that women should be in charge at home and men should just follow their lead.

“You know women are the ones who run our homes. Whatever they say should go. By the way, advise to men out there, dear men, if you want to survive, if you want to be happy like me and not stressed like Samir, pleas allow your wife to hen-peck you. That way, your marriage will be happy,” he said.

It’s not the first time Bahati has made such a comment. Sometime back, he confessed that Marua runs most of the things at home.

Diana Marua: After drinking I would chew PK to hide alcohol smell from Bahati. I respected him

In her interview with True Love Magazine, Diana Marua revealed how she met with her hubby Bahati in 2016.

Marua, who was a video vixen then, confessed that she met Bahati just hours after bursting her man having sex in his car.

“Bahati and I started off as friends. We met in 2016 when he was looking for a video vixen for his hit song mapenzi. I remember I was awe struck. I even took selfies for my instagram followers. I was seeing someone when we met but on the day of the video shoot, I found him cheating inside his car. The tears you see in the video are real heartbreak tears.” she told the magazine.

Respect

Marua also confessed that she had so much respect for Bahati that she used to avoid drinking before a date.

“I respected Bahati so much that sometimes when I was tipsy and I knew I was going to meet him, I would chew many pks to mask the smell. He would know I was tipsy but I always tried to make light of it,” she said.

Bahati shares way forward for EMB now that all artists have ditched him

Gospel singer Bahati is looking at other new ways he can take his troubled record label EMB Records now that most artists have left.

Mr Seed started the exodus after falling out with Bahati and his wife Diana early this year. Several other artists followed from then and Bahati has been working hard to clear his name from negative controversies.

Speaking to Mzazi, Bahati shared that he’s looking beyond music now as the new direction.

“It’s now EMB entertainment as it is now helping many people, not just artistes . There are new projects we have started that will help differently abled children. EMB is now an entertainment house. We have also been certified as a foundation by the government, Bahati Tena is now a foundation and this will help me help people better as a foundation,” he added.

Calling

Bahati added that his record label is not a business but a calling therefore God knows where He’s taking him.

“I was called to serve so in everything I do. He (God) give one a test and when you are tested you emerge stronger and he gives you more grace. He has given me more finances. I am waiting for him to tell me who is next,” Bahati said.

Bahati and Diana Marua embrace the word “Shosh” after Kenyans troll them

Ever since gospel singer Bahati and wife Diana Marua broke up with Mr Seed and his wife Nimo, Kenyans haven’t been easy on them, especially, Marua.

The two have been trending for the wrong reasons after they called police on Mr Seed’s wife during a New Years party and in the end, Kenyans ended up claiming that an older Marua is manipulating Bahati.

In the process, Marua was nicknamed Shosh(grandma) by Kenyans since she’s six years older than Bahati. Marua, however, said she has a tough skin adding that the name doesn’t disturb her.

“Does it bother me that Bahati is younger than me? It doesn’t bother me. All that matters is that I love him.” She said.

Tough skin

Since then, the two have been embracing the joke and have taken to social media to mock Kenyans by captioning their photos Shosh.

“#favor   yaani the way god is increasing your numbers & influence itabidi utoe wimbo  – glory to god… babe nimekudedicatia song, unaskiza my love a.k.a “shosh” wa bahaa ameivaaa .” Bahati said in one photo.

Another one! Bahati to marry Diana Marau for a second time in big wedding

Gospel singer Bahati has promised to walk down the aisle soon in yet another wedding ceremony after proposing to wife Diana Marua.

In an interview, the singer, who surprised many after proposing for a second time to Marua during New Year’s performance at Thika Municipal Stadium, said that he needed to propose because they’ll have a church wedding.

“Everyone knows that Diana and I are an item. Everyone knows that she is my one and only but never has anyone heard or seen me propose to her, something I consider a very important process. A man can do a traditional wedding but one needs to put a ring on it. We are taking a step at a time.” he said in the interview with Pulse.

Not a stunt

The proposal came two years after Bahati and Diana Marua made their relationship public and over a year after their traditional wedding ritual in October 2017. Now they want another which Bahati promised to be huge.

“Yes, a big ceremony is on the way.” added Bahati who said that it angered him when people said it was all a stunt.

“It is funny how some people make fun out of everything. I wasn’t stage-managing this. This was to tell Diana before the whole world that I am all hers and that I want to spend the rest of my life with her. I wanted to clear doubts that we are just dating,” said Bahati.

“I wanted to be different but majorly my drive was to inspire and you can never inspire when you cannot connect with your people and you can never connect with your people when you cannot come down to the level ya kila mtu.

Gospel singer Bahati’s wife Diana Marua didn’t have an easy time while pregnant. She recently opened up that carrying a baby was one of the hardest things she ever overcame.

Speaking on their reality show on NTV which aired it’s third episode, the model shared that she couldn’t walk for days after having sore feet.

“My challenges during pregnancy were far beyond my imagination. I literally went through hell and back…. from getting hyper pigmentation, to having sore feet, puffed face, craving ‘mawe’ and worst of it all, a pelvic condition that didn’t allow me to walk, stand or even turn to a comfortable position in bed…

“It was almost a nightmare but for the little baby inside me, it was all worth it and I’d do it over and over again…. my story will be aired tonight on NTV at 7:30pm on #BeingBahati@beingbahatireality  Respect to ll mothers out there in raising your little ones… y’all are the real heros” shared Diana Marua.

As expected, Kenyans reacts to Bahati’s new reality show on NTV and it’s not pretty

Kenyans were eagerly waiting for Bahati’s new show “Being Bahati” after it was announced a few weeks ago that it will premiere on NTV this past Sunday. And when it finally aired, Kenyans rushed to social media to give their take.

Many weren’t impressed.

Can do better

After airing the first episode, many claimed were not sure what the reality show is all about. The show had a cameo from several artists who spoke about the gospel singer and his family but a few Kenyans begged the singer to make it more creative.

Victor Mochere….This thing #BEINGBAHATI is total crap. So NTV have reached a point that they are so desperate for viewership and money that they can air any trash that is thrown at them. Ideally, even Akothee could have done a much better reality show. I prefer even to watch cartoons. NKT!

“We’ll go to Bondo for traditional ceremony” Bahati announces plan ahead of his wedding in August

It’s now confirmed that Bahati and his sweetheart Diana Marua will be walking down the aisle in August. The gospel singer outlined his wedding plan in a recent interview.

Bahati and Diana Marua started their relationship with a ‘fake’ wedding; Diana was the video vixen in Bahati’s song – ‘Mapenzi’ where the gospel singer ‘married’ her.

During a recent interview with Pulse, Bahati revealed that he invited Diana to feature in his song a month after he saw and liked her photos on Instagram.

“God works in mysterious ways. I recall coming home late one night, tired and going into my Instagram where I found this beautiful lady who had liked six of my photos. It didn’t hit me at all but that looked unusual so I liked four of her photos. One month later, my team and I were looking for a video vixen for the wedding song and that is when I recalled the image of the girl on Instagram Diana. That is how we got to meet,” said Bahati.

The ‘Barua Kwa Mama’ singer said that he started feeling the connection with Diana when they went to shop for her wedding dress for the video shoot.

The day before the shoot, we went to fit a wedding dress for her and that is when I started feeling the connection. Honestly, that night she kept texting me telling me that the next day was our wedding day. I was equally excited and the feeling was truly mutual,” Bahati narrated.

The 23 year old singer also confirmed his wedding will be held in August, he said that a traditional ceremony which will take place in Bondo will precede the white wedding.

“The wedding is going to take place in August. We will be going to Bondo where Diana’s family comes from to do the traditional ceremony. We have already done the informal introduction to both our families and that is why I am saying this is no longer just between Diana and me but also our entire families,” said Bahati.
