Bahati is running out of creativity, repeatedly rocking dresses

Bahati is in a dress once again. Yup, he seems to have proclivities for rocking dresses and once more he is in one with complete makeup for the sake of getting comments and reactions online. Seems he doesn’t have creative ideas for content so he is running back to old stunts.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CLBgBkYlKQW/

The thing about this that makes it noteworthy is that a lot of black American men in entertainment have raised complaints about being asked to rock dresses by the producers and directors of the shows they participate in. But here we have Bahati doing so willingly.

Masterpiece and Bahati cross-dressing is a hint of deeper proclivities

Perhaps the context is different. In America, it is the emasculation of black men and has a deep-seated history in slavery and racism. In Africa though, it doesn’t have such deep connotations. If you don’t consider willingly emasculating oneself as anything major.

Bahati
Bahati loves rocking his wife’s dresses

Bahati to me is someone with deeper-seated proclivities towards cross-dressing and is using this “comedic license” to cover up the fact that he enjoys rocking female clothes. I mean, to each his own, but it is really hilarious to see him go through these ludicrous lengths to hide the fact he just loves rocking his wife’s clothes.

‘As An Orphan I always Wished I had Someone to Call Mum’ Bahati Explains Why He Accepts Being Called Mtoto Wa Diana

But he also stumbled upon something that is a boon for him. He realized that crossdressing is something that gets a lot of comments as it baits emotions and rather than innovate content, he is simply redoing what has worked in the past.

Bahati
Bahati raids his wife’s wardrobe for dresses

The worst part about this is the fact that the play is getting old. Bahati is not serving up anything new to his 2.5 million followers. While it is working in the meantime (says a lot about the IQs of your average Kenyan), he can keep on keeping on. But for how long?

Singer Bahati Can’t Keep Calm After Lover Diana Lands New Ambassador Deal

Bahati though has some seriously wicked makeup skills. I just hope he will commit to this gambit and even create a persona for himself whenever he rocks his dress and makeup. He could become a female version of himself that he is clearly wrestling with.

Bahati
Bahati posing

Bahati could even open up new markets for himself by trying out makeup and then dresses and shoes. Bahati would have found the silver lining for himself and it would seem like it was a masterplan rather than him stumbling into it. Still, it’ll get stale. Think about it, when was the last time anyone thought of Shaniqua?

From DJ Mo to Daddy Owen, Kenya’s entertainment scene is full of simps

Kenya’s entertainment scene is choke-full with simps and Bahati, Daddy Owen and DJ Mo are a trio who best exemplify this fact. As a result, we have a popular culture and media that celebrates weak, spineless men who define themselves by how happy their partners are without ever thinking to find out what the difference is between social media happiness and real, everyday happiness.

Bahati and Diana Marua will live to regret all their petty publicity stunts

Instead, of a culture that celebrates healthy takes on happiness, a culture that realizes that lying about being happy is bullshit as fake it to make it doesn’t work in that regard (I am looking at you DJ Mo), we have a culture that instead pedestalizes me who do not seem to have themselves as the focal point of their joy, men who are aware that they can be complete in and of themselves, entertainers who actually have a mission outside making m’lady happy.

Daddy Owen
Daddy Owen with alleged ex wife, Farida

As a result, there are very few men who are thought leaders for this new generation of Kenyan men. So whenever young Kenyan men want to look up to, they are forced to look beyond our borders and then our artists cry about the fact that they aren’t supported. It is much easier to support people you look up to than people who have nothing to offer you.

“Sitambui madem wamekula p2 kama njugu karanga” Blogger tells off Bahati while arguing about Diana Marua

And while I could talk about the degenerates, today what we will instead focus on is the leaders of Kenya’s simp nation, DJ mo, Bahati and Daddy Owen. Let us look at their relationships and find out where they have gone wrong and how we can improve our own lots by learning from their nonsense:

Daddy Owen
Daddy Owen

Bashati who refuses to take leadership of his boma.

Diana Marua Vs Yvette Obura: Bahati is the cause of his blended family breakup

Bahati is not the type of man many can look up to because he refuses to take the lead in his relationship. It is a strange scenario we get treated to every time we see the couple together. Bahati is an orphan and understandably doesn’t know how a proper functional family unit operates but it is jarring to watch him refuse to learn and improve who he is. And as a result, he always defers to his wife’s opinions and decisions. Whenever the cameras are around and we see him stand for something, it is usually when he is throwing a childish tantrum and being a prick.

DJ Mo and Size 8
Size 8 and DJ Mo 7th wedding anniversary

Instead, what he should be trying to do is to identify a couple that has been happily married for longer than a decade and try to get the husband to mentor him. In this, we should also learn how to manage our personal relationships by setting boundaries and taking leadership. I truly hope you aren’t hearing this concept for the first time from a university student.

Daddy Owen’s heartbreak: Lessons Kenyan men should learn

“Happy wife, happy life”

Bahati
Bahati renews his promise to Diana

If ever there was a toxic philosophy that seems to have seeped into the skulls of men like Daddy owen and Bahati, it would be this. The idea that a man should sacrifice his ambitions and his interests for the sake of keeping his wife happy. The main problem with this is that it invariably leads to resentment either when the man is no longer able to get the sun and stars for their wives or if they finally realize their only utility to their marriage is keeping their wife happy.

Daddy Owen found this up when his finances dried up. His wife was out of there but not before tearing him down with her disrespect. Bahati is still yet to realize this but it is on the offing. As for DJ Mo, he decided to cheat because he realized he had put himself into a box that made marriage unsatisfying for him.

Pedestalizing women (who have dubious pasts)

Learn how to deal with relationships from a grounded perspective, not from some Disney understanding of life. You see, we are human beings which means we have our faults and cracks. The problem with some of you men is you see you celebrities place their women on a pedestal and fail to understand why this is an issue. If you put a woman on a pedestal like Bahati has done, like Daddy Owen did, you will end up with a partner who has no option but to look down at you. Now you are nothing more than a groupie and she is your goddess.

To make matters worse, it is clear that daddy Owen, Bahati and indeed, to some degree, DJ Mo did this with women whom they had not vetted. They had not bothered to take the time to understand how their partners’ pasts could possibly become a demon lurking in the shadows of their homes. Atleast on this one, Diana Marua (Bahati’s wife) has began opening up about her past in an attempt to deal with it.

Daddy Owen married a single mother, Bahati, a lady who had for a long time been the property of the streets. The same goes for DJ Mo. And what do we know about single mothers? Well, they are only an option for men who think they have found women who are too good for them. And it will end spectacularly badly.

DJ Mo, Bahati and Daddy Owen refuse to improve who they are as men.

These guys need mentors, therapy and to read up on modern-day realities of marriages. They need to hit the gym and more than anything, ensure they are investing heavily so their money never dries up. Entertainment is a fickle industry. When the fans decide you’re a has-been, that’s that for you. These guys need to stop simping and defining themselves as husbands, fathers and such solipsistic emotional bullshit and actually find out what makes them tick and how to define themselves from a perspective that wants them to be whole.

Why we need to pay attention to Maureen Waititu’s offer of help to Diana Marua

I know we all noticed Maureen Waititu rather publicly offer to help Diana Marua find great movers and a house to move out to while she and her husband Bahati were running the gambit of breaking up and moving on to separate lives.

Unbelievable! Never seen before photo of young Maureen Waititu before the fame and money!

We all saw the comment she left for Diana Marua’s post and were rather intrigued by it to the point of causing a few retorts and hilarious comments but most people missed the most important aspect of what she did.

Maureen Waititu
Maureen Waititu at the coveted Couture Africa Awards 2020

To the unassuming and untrained eye, Maureen Waititu was merely offering a woman in need some much-needed help but we haven’t seen the pair speak publicly nor have we been given any reason to suspect that they are friends. Instead, what we have is proof that the two are simply women who communicate online. So it was a peculiar sight to see indeed.

‘Mtawezana?’ Maureen Waititu displays jaw dropping moves as she gyrates to Sanaipei’s ‘Mfalme wa mapenzi’ (Video)

But it was relevant because it spoke to just how much healing she is yet to do. You see, there are a lot of “pro-women advocates” and card-carrying members of the “Ms Independent League” but none of them offered help. It was only Maureen Waititu who seems to have a bone to pick with the concept of love itself and is more than happy to swoop on and help extricate a woman from her unhappy situation where the love has ended.

Maureen Waititu
Maureen Waititu giving Corazon Kwamboka a hard time?

It is rather sad because when we look at Maureen Waititu’s statements, we would be expected to buy the narrative that she is very happy and content with her new single life but when we delve deeper and especially check out the messages she sent to her ex, Frankie Just Gym It, she is actually unhappy and angry and misery loves company. Yes, mystery loves company enough for it to swoop in to help separate a couple (this is a cheap dig because let’s face it, Bahati and Diana Marua are assholes for playing the games they play).

Corazon Kwamboka accuses Maureen Waititu of stalking and insulting her newborn son (source IG)

Anyway, rather than jump into her DMs, Maureen Waititu was rather quick to let us know about her disdain for relationships and love. You see, help could have been offered in a myriad of ways. Offering to call Diana Marua is probably what I would have done because I am a well-adjusted individual. But if I were just interested in helping, I would have jumped in the DMs. That way, the situation remains private and my involvement remains just that.

Diana Marua
Diana Marua

I am reminded of something Jesus Christ said, “Let not the left hand know what the right hand has put in”. And while we could sit here and debate all day long about the reasons for any of Maureen Waititu’s reasons were, one thing stands solid and that is the huge question mark over her motives still stands.

Kenyan men, if your girlfriend supports Maureen Waititu, dump her immediately!

Bahati and Diana Marua will live to regret all their petty publicity stunts

Bahati and Diana Marua have been the talk of the town with a lot of their fans, followers and haters angry at the fact they were taken for fools. In hindsight, you should probably stop doubting me when you read my opinions and hot takes on certain matters.

Here’s how you can tell Diana Marua is genuinely content with Bahati

But because alot of you aren’t really the cerebral type, I guess you fell for their recent celebrity stunt about breaking up. We were all not amused to discover it was a prank and the fact that these two clowns have been rubbing it in our faces is something that a lot of people have really been rankled by. Think about it, it was bad enough that a lot of you were fooled by including Maureen Waititu but now you have to be reminded about the fact that they were playing you over and over again.

Bahati and Diana Marua
The Bahatis

Anyway, we have to take a step back from our emotions -either the shame of having your schadenfreude exposed or the joy of having trapped an entire generation of fans just for shits and giggles. Now let us look at the ramifications of the prank that will doubtless come into play well into the future but will nonetheless be devastating: lack of confidence in the Bahati brand.

“I wasn’t in it for the love, but for the money,” Diana Marua opens up on her first encounter with Bahati (Video)

You see, these two have gotten their seven chuckles in at the expense of not just the naysayers feeding their schadenfreude but also their own fans. This, in turn, has cheapened their brand and while corporates will take a while to respond to the dip in confidence but it will come nonetheless.

Bahati and Diana Marua
The Bahatis

You see, the immediate effect will be that people will treat them like a joke. Yup. Now, picture if you will that Bahati and Diana Marua, collectively known as the Bahatis, still had fans who loved and defended their brand. Fans who waited on bated breath for the next song. Fans who eat up every shitty episode they post on their YouTube channel. Now, do you think those gullible fans will really be as gang-ho in their support of their next endeavours? Some might. Most won’t because they feel they have been played for fools.

Following into Anerlisa and Ben Pol’s footsteps? Bahati and wife forced to fake breakup to promote new song

How will these fans defend their favourite icons when the haters come calling and questioning their intelligence? I mean, even Willy Paul took shots at his frenemy and one can’t help but agree with his take on the matter. He is absolutely right that Bahati and Diana Marua have realized they cannot depend on their talent and must instead rely on chasing the dragon that is fleeting fan attention through publicity stunts.

Bahati and Diana Marua
The Bahatis travel upcountry

Bahati coming to terms with this reality, however, is not a bad thing as it shows he is in touch with reality. He has now realized what works for him but eventually, the corporates will begin to become concerned with attaching themselves to a brand that is seen as little more than the court jester -and not in a comedic sense either. How long until they too start getting dragged into the ridicule that Bahati and Diana Marua attract?

Diana Marua Vs Yvette Obura: Bahati is the cause of his blended family breakup

Bahati’s marriage to Diana Marua seems to have gone belly up but then again, knowing these two, it might just be a publicity stunt. What I, however, do not believe to be a publicity stunt is the fact that his wife and his baby mama and their love child, Yvette Obura and Mueni Bahati respectively do not see eye-to-eye.

Diana Marua snubs stepdaughter, Mueni Bahati on her 5th birthday

And there can only really be one party to bear the blame of this shameful turn of events and that is firmly going to be Bahati. You see, the pipsqueak gospel artist 9I am not sure whether he is a gospel artist anymore or it depends on the weather and the day) is supposed to provide leadership for his family. Given that his is a blended family that has both his wife and their children together with his baby mama and their love-child, the responsibility of making it work fell on his shoulders.

Yvette Obura
Yvette Obura with daughter Mueni Bahati, Bahati’s illegitimate daughter

Granted, some women would go out of their way to frustrate a man’s efforts, we never got the sense that was what was happening. Who am I kidding, Bahati doesn’t strike me as the type of man who would provide leadership strong enough for his family to punch their way out of a wet envelope. So perhaps there were some fracture lines we weren’t privy to between Diana Marua and Yvette Obura.

Diana Marua hints about possible separation with husband, Bahati in cryptic message

Usually, such drama is brought about by a lack of clear direction and the need for resources for the children. Perhaps Diana Marua and Yvette Obura were competing for Bahati’s resources including his attention, time and most importantly, money. If Bahati had mentors, they would have guided him through this maze of feminine emotions but seeing as he is on his own navigating some arguably complex and choppy waters, he was bound to fail.

Diana Marua
Bahati’s seemingly ex-wife, Diana Marua

Rather than focusing on beating the man while he is down, perhaps what I should do is instead give him some advice on how to handle his situation. For starters, he needs to get masculine mentors. And unfortunately, the church is plum out of masculine leaders, it just has charlatans and men who have bought into the gynocentric ways of worshipping the virgin mother and all the members of our species who share her set of genitalia. As a result, Bahati will have to look outside the church for masculine men -preferably men who are much older than us (he and I are agemates). Men who have been married for a solid 3 decades or more.

“I appreciate and respect you,” Bahati pens heartwarming letter to baby mama Yvette

The second thing Bahati needs to do is set up boundaries. He needs to clearly state his intention for his children and then insist the two mothers fall in line because at the end of the day, he can lose both women but his children are his for the rest of his and their lives. One such boundary can be for him to insist that they both celebrate each other’s children on social media. When Mueni has her birthday, Diana Marua had better damn well celebrate it on her account and the same goes for Yvette Obura.

Bahati
Bahati and Diana Marua in happier times

The ultimate last step would be for him to make peace with the idea that he can lose these women at the drop of a hat. He should be willing and ready to walk away from them should they refuse to comply and keep it moving with his life. This, unfortunately, seems to have already been decided for him after Diana marua indicated that she was the one leaving their marriage over rumours of infidelity. But then again, what would one have expected from a man who found joy in self-deprecating humour to the point of calling himself his wife’s son?

Bahati and Diana Marua: There are no real Kenyan celebrity role models

Bahati and Diana Marua are back again and they are opening their mouths for us to have to sift through the sheer load of bullshit to determine where the gems of what they have to say lie. And that is often a tough ask because while it is said a broken clock is right twice a day (one of my mentors said that this week), having to sift through mounds of dung to find just two gems is troubling.

Diana Marua and Bahati expose each other’s dirty secrets on their 5th anniversary

Bahati and Diana Marua are celebrating one of their relationship milestones and one of the things he mentioned was that he was aware that when they were newlyweds, right after the birth of his firstborn daughter, they had a fight and Diana Marua decided to go and stay with her ex-boyfriend.

I slapped my laptop. I cannot believe the amount of cow dung I have to sift through just for me to come through with some serious advice and opinions for you, dear reader.

“Iteni Diana achukue haka…” Bahati attacked after siding with DJ Mo on cheating scandal

You see, there is nothing of value to be gleaned from the Bahatis nonsense. Nothing Bahati and Diana Marua said was worth anything more than entertainment. Do not take it seriously and do not attempt to apply the nonsense advice they give to your life because it will end up a derailed and a wreck.

The lesson I need us to focus on is the fact that none of our Kenyan celebrities is a role model. Not DJ Mo nor Size 8 and definitely not Bahati nor his missus. And that is the lesson. Go away.

Bahati and his missus
Diana Marua with Bahati

Seriously though, there has been a spate of incidences in which Kenyans either look up to celebrities and idolize them or compare their lives to those of celebrities. And I have seen young boys and girls, young men and women do the same thing. This is why you will have our celebrities occasionally come out to remind their audiences that they should not be looked upto as role models.

Bahati's wife

And my oh my, no year has stressed the fact that our stars crack quite like 2020. In twenty-twenty, we have seen all our favourite stars get exposed for either being kept women who are living large on the budget of certain governors while others have been caught wit their pants down and not to be outdone, we have to celebrities in Bahati and Diana Marua’s form just opening themselves up to ridicule for the sake of publicity. Then Bahati will walk all around these internet streets huffing and puffing, demanding Timmy TDat respect his wife…

The silver lining in the dark clouds for DJ Mo is being revealed

DJ Mo is having a rough time after he was revealed to be a man who dibbles and dabbles in infidelity. The issue at hand is not that he was shown to be a man with flaws but rather that he was a man who claimed to be a man of God. He claimed to be a representative of his faith. And that is why people are really having a go at him.

“Iteni Diana achukue haka…” Bahati attacked after siding with DJ Mo on cheating scandal

For the longest time, DJ Mo and his wife Size 8 were seen as a power couple give that they had managed to find a to grow their brands and even get a fantastic net worth given that they both did not come from wealth. They were couple goals. They were the couple gospel artists would run to for help with their own marital problems. And when they began to play-act like they were having fights and it was all for the ratings of their NTV “reality TV drama”. Unfortunately, as some would argue, they opened themselves up to bad energy from the universe.

DJ Mo, Size 8 and his lover
A photo collage of DJ Mo, Size 8 and his lover

Anyway, while all around him seems to be dragging him down the ocean of darkness as his emotions deluge forth, there is a very bright silver lining that he might not be of the frame of mind to appreciate that fact right now but he eventually will: he will get to see who his real friends are. For is it not said that adversity brings clarity?

The 3 reasons why Size 8 should divorce DJ Mo and we will support her

DJ Mo messed up. He got caught with his hand in the cookie jar and what is even worse is the fact that the evidence that was used to convict his guilt was created by him in what was a not so intelligent moment of his life. He was clearly not thinking with his coconut but rather with his little head. And as we know, that little head is often only focused and preoccupied by two activities and he wasn’t pissing.

DJ Mo
Gospel Dj and icon DJ Mo who is dealing with a sex scandal

Make no mistake about it, he will be the target of a lot of his current and former friends as old and new enemies will emerge to mock him and get their seven chuckles in. There is no issue with that really as schadenfreude is a viable human emotion but the problem is that most of these guys will try to kick him while he is down. But then there are those few who will silently reach out to him to see how he is doing. There are those who will reach out to his woman and attempt to reconcile the two. Often such endeavours of assistance are silent, preferring to do their work away from cameras and not trying to grab headlines for themselves.

DJ Mo and 4 Kenyan celebrities who allegedly cheated on their partners with ugly women

Guys like Bahati who are always hungry for the spotlight are currently shouting from the rooftops some bullshit mantras but that is not real help. And it is up to those around DJ Mo and he himself to protect his energy and that of his family from attention heaux. But all in all, he will get to see who his real friends are.

Bahati playing chess while gospel artists are playing checkers

Bahati is one of the far more sociopathic celebrities we have in Kenya but he is also one of the more intelligent celebrities too. The young man who grew up in some of Kenya’s less affluent areas (I am trying to be nice about saying the word “slum”) has literally picked himself up by the straps of his boots and made a life for himself that is the envy of many.

Bahati unveils Diana Marua’s make up free photo, and she’s a beauty!

Bahati started out as a gospel singer whose songs would tug the heartstrings as he retold his experiences being an orphan and growing up underprivileged but he then grew into a banana republic spokesperson as he quickly found himself in bed with politicians, championing their causes during elections.

bahati
Music star, Kevin Bahati

That is not something I am saying to discredit him but rather to point out the fact that he is intelligent enough to network his way into the corridors of power and get deals from those connections. It is also a mark of intelligence just how well Bahati has been able to remain relevant even as the kenyan gospel fraternity has been falling to shambles from it’s once lofty, glorious perch in the world of Kenyan entertinament.

Bahati’s baby mama unveils handsome man that has been warming her bed during this cold season (Photo)

And this brings us to the reason for the article: an appreciation of Bahati’s latest crafty publicity ploy.

Bahati and Diana Marua
Bahati and Diana Marua, his wife

You see, the young gospel artist for a while now seemed to have been losing his faith and flirting with the idea to go secular and indeed, he did indeed. He began releasing songs with secular artists known for their more raunchy lyrical content such as Boondocks Gang before finally going all out and beginning to release “love songs”.

Bahati strongly warns Nick Mutuma against cheating with wife Diana Marua (Details)

To the untrained eye, he seemed to have veered off his path entirely and I must admit that even I was sold on the switch. It just seemed like the logical decision to make given the fact that the gospel fraternity is currently a bloated corpse struggling not to fall into kaburi la sahau.

Bahati

And so it is that I celebrated the decision only to have Ringtone tear the scales from my eyes. Apparently, this is a ploy by Bahati before he doubles back and returns to music much to the jubilation of its congregants. And bahati will be seen as more than the prodigal son, he will be seen as the saviour of the gospel industry.

BRILLIANT!

Think about it, it isn’t just a whammy, it’s a double whammy. Can you imagine the level of intellect that went into crafting such a simple plan? And it is said that perfection can only be found in simplicity.

We were right, Bahati has quit gospel music to put out ‘love songs’

A few weeks ago, we decided to have a conversation around the fact that Bahati was moving like he was gearing up to quit the gospel scene. You see, Bahati has been watching how the same decision affected Willy Paul his frenemy and from the look of things, Willy Paul has only managed to grow from strength to strength and he is not slowing down.

Willy Paul discloses main reason for quitting gospel music

On the contrary, the Kenyan contemporary gospel scene has been slowly grinding to a halt with several gospel artists preferring to simply chase clout on social media than churn out songs and Bahati is among that rank.

bahati and his wife
Celebrity couple, Diana Marua and Kevin Bahati

That doesn’t, however, mean that he has given up on his musical ambitions. If anything, we have been treated to Bahati slowly warming up to the idea of announcing the switch even as he did multiple collaborations with Gengeton artists.

Bahati is going to be the next gospel artist to turn secular

And now the switch has more or less been confirmed by his latest song titled Missing You:

So what now for the formerly gospel artist? Well, for starters he is the type of guy who thrives off controversy so he really should just make the announcement even if it is just a mere formality. That is sure to get some of his more conservative fans, the ones who started out his journey with him as a gospel artist to say a thing or two.

And it also opens him up to actually take his show in the clearly more mature direction he has been trending towards over the past couple of weeks with he and his wife even discussing his inability to make her experience a sexual climax.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CDBpAxzjVUJ/

In addition to that, he can now expand his product endorsement deals to feature condoms, alcohol and anything further that would otherwise be off-limits for gospel singers. So who knows, perhaps this just might lead to a boon for the former gospel crooner.

Bahati and his wife arguing about his ability to satisfy her says alot

Bahati and his wife recently shared a clip online in which a clearly insecure Bahati was asking his wife about the number of times her has made her achieve a climax from their sexual congress.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CDBpAxzjVUJ/

I kid you not, this is what she and Bahati are busy discussing for the sake of views but it did indeed bring into focus a truth we already knew about Bahati… He was not in the frame of mind to get married and his lack of experience is telling a clear story men should learn from.

Diana Marua will always be Bahati’s Achilles heel

And that is that before you finally to get married, ensure you go out into the world and enjoy the best bachelorhood has to offer because at the end of the day that is all that will give you the experience you need to handle such nonsense.

Bahati and Diana Marua

Well, that and Bahati really had no business marrying a woman with more experience than he did when it came to dating and sex. But we will circle back here later.

Why Diana Marua’s feeling the pressure of Yvette Obura looking sexier

For now, the focus is Bahati who lacks any experience with women outside of Yvette Obura and Diana Marua. That is why he allows his wife to lead him and why they are on the interwebs debating their sex life and we are all just sitting down and wondering when his masculine energy will flow and take charge.
At the end of the day, while we understand they are in the business of looking for views, there has too be a line they aren’t going to cross because one day their children will sit down and view these clips whether or not they get pulled down off Youtube. Why? Because the internet never forgets.

bahati and diana marua
The Bahatis

And a man who has had his fill of women before deciding to settle down is at a better place to resist his urges when other attractive women come his way and try to distract him from his family.

Also, such a man knows how to handle the female form so some of these insecurities. And he understands that such topics aren’t for him to explore with his wife because should she answer it, she will doubtless lie. And Bahati will be lucky to have Diana Marua lie because the alternative is him picturing one of her high profile exes making her achieve an orgasm -the same one he is incapable of making her achieve. So why go there?

Diana Marua will always be Bahati’s Achilles heel

Diana Marua has the ignominious place in Bahati’s life of being the Achilles heel that his detractors love to hit at to take shots at him. And the unfortunate reality they face is that this will never end.

Willy Paul does it again! Asks Bahati to get a wife of his standards (Video)

Most recently, it was Bahati’s frenemy, Willy Paul who took shots at Bahati in a recent interview with Jalang’o. During the interview, Willy Paul referenced the jibe most people take at Bahati: His wife wears the pants in their relationship.

Bahati and Diana Marua

This assumption most people have is fed by the fact that Diana Marua is quite a few years older than Bahati. Add to this the fact that she also was a worldly woman whose relationships and entanglements were very public and you can understand why tongues are often wagging.

Bahati is going to be the next gospel artist to turn secular

Bahati too often feeds the nonsense with his social media posts that are meant to be a tongue-in-cheek stab at poking fun at his detractors and the fact that he does seems to give credence to the whispers.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CCk2TYVj2aL/

At the end of the day, the fact that they have elected to open up their marriage to public scrutiny is always going to haunt them and with their children growing older and older, the lack of privacy will soon become an issue as their children begin to interact with their peers and Bahati and Diana Marua become fodder for gossip and teasing.

Bahati has mastered the art of seeking attention

Bahati however, should make himself comfortable with the fact that his wife will always be the foil to his caricature and because most people cannot take aim at him as he is at the apex of his career, she will often bear the brunt of the haters vitriol because they are she is seen as more accessible what with her lack of talent.

diana marua and bahati

This though, I suspect will make the couple even closer as they will constantly have to deal with antagonists from outside their relationship and Bahati will always be stuck in a perennial defense mode to protect his wife from his haters.

Bahati has seemingly been flirting with the secular world of the entertainment scene. The gospel star has been putting out collaborative songs done with secular singers and this is actually a pattern we have seen before.

The pattern was first started by none other than his arch-nemesis, Willy Paul. And as a result, whenever we see artists begin to put out music that is skirting the line between secular and gospel, our antennae shoot up. Add to that the fact that we then begin to see gospel artists also begin to do collabos with secular artists, the bell has begun to toll.

Bahati and Diana Marua: loved by those who matter

Bahati on his part decided to make music with Gengetone’s biggest stars. And this move did indeed extend his presence in our minds because it fanned the argument of secular vs gospel collaborations. Beyond that, however, it muddies the water as his songs are now confusing their main audience: born again Christians.

bahati with weezdom

And perhaps it is at this juncture that Bahati should bow out of the gospel arena and focus on giving us purely secular music. If anything, him copying Willy Paul will work because Willy Pozze already showed the way. he also bore the brunt of the detractors so there really wouldn’t be much to say in way of rebukes.

Bahati has mastered the art of seeking attention

Bahati would also begin to focus on marketing a wider variety and range of commodities and services because now instead of purely focusing on working with telecom companies and mobile phone manufacturers, he could also begin to sell alcohol beverages on his page. He could even go as far as begin to take part in HIV/ AIDS awareness campaigns as well as safe-sex campaigns.

bahati

So really, be disembarking the gospel bus, Bahati wouldn’t hurt financially. Another thing that he could do is that he could easily win back some measure of authority with his fanbase who have shifted towards not trusting him, instead seeing him as a hypocrite and charlatan.

So what will it be Bahati? Will you take the plunge?

Bahati and Diana Marua: loved by those who matter

Diana Marua and her hubby Bahati are widely reviled and loved in equal measure. A quick glance at their social media accounts and you can easily establish.

Masterpiece and Bahati cross-dressing is a hint of deeper proclivities

To those that revile the couple, it is because of Bahati’s over the top antics -sometimes he does the most egregious stunts for the sake of publicity. Another reason is that many think his wife, Diana Marua is not deserving of her husband. Yet another reason is because of the couple’s bad business practices.

bahati and diana marua

But whatever the case may be, Diana Marua and her husband are the darling of those that matter. Often, this group is made up of out of touch individuals who do not have their finger on the pulse of Kenyan culture or they simply do not care.

Bahati defending having a controlling wife is an admission he isn’t a man

That is why when you examine the number of endorsement deals the couple has, you cannot help but wonder. On the one hand, the amazement is at just how brilliant Bahati and Diana Marua’s business acumen is aswell as their good luck and on the other hand at just how innocuous this group is to public sentiment.

diana marua and bahati

At the end of the day, however, these are the only people who matter and Bahati has learnt to maintain nothing but glowing, warm and positive relations with them.

Celebrity geniuses: Lessons other artists should learn from Willy Paul and Bahati

That is why he is always involved in one campaign or another. It also serves as a testament to his work ethic and the fact that he gets results given how often Bahati is working with brands.

bahati

So all in all, this is a good example of getting priorities straight; not trying to ingratiate yourself with everyone but instead focusing on the right people because at the end of the day, not every opinion matters.

Masterpiece and Bahati cross-dressing is a hint of deeper proclivities

Masterpiece is one of Kenya’s most recent celebrities to crossdress or change their gender either using makeup, technology (filters) and really just wearing actual dresses. Bahati would be the next example to come to mind.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CBsaQ4UJVNQ/

It has to make you wonder why Kenyan celebrities are doing this nonsense. Because at the end of the day, it serves no real purpose or entertainment value… Or does it?

Kenyan celebrity bahati

An argument can be made that these weird challenges actually allow Kenyan celebrities such as Masterpiece to live their truth if only momentarily. These challenges also serve to entertain small-minded Kenyans bored to death in their Coronavirus self-quarantine.

How Willy Paul completely beat Bahati in their beef

While it is true that a recent trend saw Kenyans use apps to do gender swaps, today’s focus is on celebrities -especially gospel artists- who elect to put on women’s clothes.

And the reason for this focus is the stark contrast from American celebrities who vehemently decry being made to wear female clothes for shits and giggles at their expense and the expense of African American culture. The contrast between why Masterpiece and Bahati chose to wear dresses vs how your favourite actors and comics feel about being asked to wear dresses is interesting.

Ringtone accuses Bahati and Masterpiece of secretly dating fellow men! (Photo)

And Ringtone seems to agree. You see, there is a reason why African Americans refuse to look at the ask to wear female clothes and get made up fondly. It is because it is linked to racial humiliation and emasculation of their strongest men.

Size 8 and Masterpiece

The trend of black actors and entertainers wearing dresses is a thing that was made not only powerful but brought to the forefront of black collective awareness by guys like Tyler Perry with his Madea bit. But make no mistakes about it, this trend goes back to the minstrel shows.

Why is the Kenyan gospel industry such a mess?

So why would Masterpiece and Bahati decide to rock dresses and act effeminate? One thing that marks the difference between Kenya and America when it comes to wearing dresses for entertainment is the racial issues that we haven’t really experienced.
However, perhaps this is the only way both lads can truly embrace who they are. Given how Kenya is conservative about trans issues, this might be the closest they get to embracing themselves and if that is the case, we shouldn’t judge them but infact encourage them to be their true selves.

Bahati defending having a controlling wife is an admission he isn’t a man

Bahati is a cuckold and I do not think this is a statement anyone in their right mind would contest. You see, the young lad is a walking textbook example of the Oedipus complex.

Bahati’s latest Instagram pattern is his most pathetic

He is young and he chose to marry early. There is nothing wrong with that. What is interesting, however, is that he chose to marry an older woman with a wealth of worldly experience. Again, there is nothing wrong with that. One additional point of interest is that whenever they are on the screen together, Diana Marua (his wife) takes on a decidedly more active role in leading them as a couple and as a family unit. Again, there is nothing wrong with that… If you want to marry your mother.

Kenyan celebrity bahati

The truth of the matter as uncomfortable as it may be to acknowledge is the fact that Bahati is not the type of man who can say he leads his family unit as it’s head and he is actually increasingly becoming the norm.

Jalang’o weighs in on Bahati and Harmonize’s beef!

And his most recent statement doesn’t just cement this fact, it also proves that he believes his own blasphemy to the point of being willing to become its evangelist.

“The house belongs to the woman. By the way, advice to men outside there, if you want to survive, if you want to be as happy as I am, just accept that controlling wife and you will be very happy in your marriage,”

Bahati and Diana Marua

And because as I stated earlier, more and more Kenyan men are buying into the idea of conceding the leadership role to their wives, this will sound off but the truth is, statistics show that the marriages that actually work are those that take on a traditional slant. That means Bahati and Diana Marua would have a better chance at winning in this thing called life if they took on a more traditional outlook to their marriage. Be sure to click on both links to check the research cited.

But make no mistake about it, this is the harder approach to life and marriage. Traditional marriages demand a level of mindful involvement from men that liberal, soft, Bahati-esque marriages do not. You see, traditional marriages demand the man understand that he is the ultimate in authority and responsibility in the family. That means that ultimately, the buck stops with him.

Because Bahati is a gospel artist so I can take this from a Biblical perspective. What that would call for from him is for him to be the priest of his family. Prophecy success and blessings into the lives of his children. He would have to be the leader, take charge of every aspect of the family life and lead his wife as the head. And the only way you can truly do this is by providing. And finally, Bahati would have to give his presence to the family. This will allow his son to model around what it means to be a man and for his daughter to see what a man is.

No one respects Bahati as a man and it’s Diana Marua’s fault

Now let the pseudo-intelligentsia come at me with nonsense arguments about partnerships and nonsense as if their parents who raised them successfully did so based on liberal models.

Weezdom’s new job makes more sense when you consider this…

Weezdom recently announced his exit from the gospel fraternity, preferring instead to focus on pushing Bahati’s music career foreword. At first glance, this seems like a Bahati play to kill the career of the talented people around him and instead use their creativity for his own ends but I would argue that while this is true, it isn’t necessarily a bad thing.

https://www.instagram.com/p/CBOFuhXJdl9/

You cannot honestly say that Weezdom has lost out on the opportunity to make a superstar of himself because in truth, his career wasn’t exactly on fire.

Weezdom bags lucrative deal months after quitting gospel music

A quick recap of the situation is that Weezdom has been given a new gig over at what is left of EMB records that will see him forsake his ambitions to become Kenya’s biggest gospel star and instead focus on creating content for Bahati’s social media.

Weezdom with Bahati at EMB
Bahati (left) with Weeezdom (right)

In and of itself, this isn’t a bad move as it assures him a more steady revenue stream that royalty cheques of which his weren’t exactly flowing like water from a tap.

Weezdom

This also allows Weezdom to focus more on his personal vendetta against Bahati’s enemies, both perceived and otherwise.

Mr Seed’s beef with Weezdom getting too personal?

But more importantly, Weezdom can claim a larger stake of the Bahati empire by claiming a share of the revenues he contributes to generating and if he has the ambition and vision, he can even grow a business out of managing more and more artists social media accounts.

But all in all, Weezdom’s decision makes a lot of sense because of the possibility to make more cents which in turn completely depends on his ability to be a visionary thinker. Only time will tell whether he had the acumen to take advantage of the opportunity presented to him.

Bahati’s latest Instagram pattern is his most pathetic

Bahati has taken on a new line of attracting attention: attacking Harmonize. The diminutive gospel singer has decided that he would focus his angst and aggression on Harmonize, even going as far as demanding he stop using his moniker of “Tembo” and instead leaving it for Bahati.

Bahati getting paid by Diamond Platnumz to attack Harmonize? He responds

The bizarre turn of events came about seemingly unprovoked with Bahati weighing in in the fight between Diamond and Harmonize, effectively taking the opinion that Harmonize is the antagonist even though he is an outsider looking in and he doesn’t know the nitty-gritty of the facts.

Bahati

But Bahati has never been one to let better judgement get in the way of a good publicity opportunity.

Jalang’o weighs in on Bahati and Harmonize’s beef!

Bahati came out guns blazing and demanded that Harmonize stop being “ungrateful and greedy” and going on to say,

BUT MY POINT IS.., his Mistakes Cannot be Compared with the Kind heart that pushed him to pick you Up from the Streets and Made You who You’re Today. God Used him to Introduce you to the World!

Bahati

What is interesting is the dim view Kenyans have of the lad, because when many read his outrage, they immediately wrote it off as a publicity stunt for a new upcoming song. Kenyans do not take his statements to heart, instead seeing insidious motives for them.

And that brings us to why this stunt is utter bullshit.

Bahati recently released a song. and him being “an artist of immense calibre” he would want to focus on promoting that song, you would think that all his effort would be put into ensuring he would get the most airplay and his songs get the most downloads and views on Youtube but instead, he is busy discussing Harmonize.

Bahati

This in and of itself is an admission that he knows he isn’t a big artist. Bahati has swallowed his pride and accepted that he needs drama to get his name on headlines. And that is an issue because it has translated in seeing him engineer some nonsensical controversies around both himself and his family.

Bahati bitter after Harmonize makes surprise move confirming friendship is over!

Harmonize is busy doing his thing then all of a sudden he realizes his name is being brought up by some artist he has never worked with… And that artist, Bahati, is more focused on addressing an old issue, his drama with Diamond Platnumz, rather than churning out music.

Bahati

So Bahati has decided to be delving in nonsense that is 6 months dead to revive his career. And it gets so bizarre that he even has to address whether or not Diamond Platnumz paid him to take on Harmonize…

Mimi sijaongea na Diamond kutoka sijui lini. Nilikuwa tu namshauri kama ndugu. The way wewe unaweza pata kitu uone hiki kitu Bahati anapotea unishauri.
Nilitaka tu amake peace na atoke na Amani fulani sababu ukitoka na Amani unapata Baraka pia. Sikutarajia atakwazika.

Harmonize teams up with Yemi Alade on 'Pain'
Harmonize

So the guy who was unable to run a record label because all his artists would accuse him of bad business practices is busy telling Tanzanians how to manage their affairs? Nope. Bahati seems to think talking about Diamond and Harmonize’s already dead beef is leaving a dent on the world.

Bahati recycles his boxers – Diana Marua spills (Expose)

Homie needs to take an entire cup of Shut The F Up and focus on what seems to be the dwindling of his musical career. This trend of his that sees him talk about none issues isn’t the way to revive his career and it merely makes us look at him as a has-been fighting to remain relevant.

Harmonize
Bongo music star, Harmonize

And the argument that you should respect the man who discovered you simply because he discovered you is illogical. Business is business and we all have to do what is right for us. We do not know the details of the business falling out between the two. If you aren’t involved in the deal, maintain sharp and focus and on your own hustle Bahati.

Celebrity geniuses: Lessons other artists should learn from Willy Paul and Bahati

The Kenyan celebrity has its pros and cons and to be one you need to have the skin for it. I mean for the longest time we have seen many celebrities who come up be loved and later disappear like passing wind.

However some celebrities have mastered a way of sticking around despite being thrown stones at.

For two artists Bahati and Willy Paul have proven that they are masters of this celebrity status.

You might ask how yet they are always “chomaing picha”.

Look at it this way they started out as gospel artists humble, modest and would be heavens gate keepers.

Well, these two chaps needed a leeway to get to the top and that worked out just fine. Why not grab opportunities as they come? Yes, they did or still do good music and that’s just about it.

So what’s the trick you may ask? I believe this 3 are the few takes that propelled the two to the top.

Controversy

When they started out in the gospel scene, they had big hits that fans hoped they could have a collaboration together.

However they did the opposite they two singers would forever be at logger heads trying to prove who is better than the other. Clearly we are not sure yet but truth is they have stayed at the top of their games.

Willy Paul thought he is playing himself by sticking in the gospel scene then shifted to secular. Some fans were angry with his move but to him things see m to be working out just fine.

For Bahati, he thrives on being the trending topic negative or positive for as long as he has the numbers. Its all about the business ya’ll.

Social media craze

A little buzz on the internet could be the best move to make when working on your celebrity status. These two know how to play  the social media craze.

One day you see Willy Paul mock Bahati before the later answers with something else and well life goes on. Next thing you see they have a song out. Then what? We keep loving them or better yet troll them some more. But guess what? They smile to the bank.

Consistency

Th tow have a consistent way of doing their music something not many artists have. Their music regardless of how what content it carries they give their fans what they think is good.

I mean look at Bahati’s new song “Wanani” its a beautiful love song but most of looked at his “gospel” label.

On the other hand, Pozze gave us a beautiful thanksgiving song “Wema”  with Gloria Muliro and he was praised for that.

In conclusion, these two chaps have mastered their arts. They do what pleases them and that makes them celebrity geniuses and will stick around for a long time.

No one respects Bahati as a man and it’s Diana Marua’s fault

Bahati is an orphan and I cannot blame him for not having learnt the importance of vetting his life partner/ wife from the men around him. As a result of the trauma of being born and not experiencing love from a family, a lot of orphans grow up to tolerate bullshit in their relationships with their spouses because they do not want to break up their own families.

Bahati and Diana Marua share new details about their upcoming royal wedding

Bahati, however, made something of himself and love him or hate him, you have to admit that the far he has lifted himself from poverty is commendable. And once he had made himself a star thanks to his gospel music and the fact that he knew to align himself with the gatekeepers, he began to attract female attention.
Of all the women who caught his eye, for some reason he decided to marry Diana Marua.

Diana Marua and Bahati

You see, men usually value youth when it comes to choosing a mate. It is an evolved instinct that leads us to make this decision because the younger a woman is, the higher the chances of her conceiving and the higher the probability she and the child will survive childbirth. Make no mistake about it, modern medicine is a miracle! The most dangerous endeavour women undertake is in birthing forth the next generation and modern medicine has made it a much less risky undertaking.
Bahati bucked his survival instinct by marrying a much older woman but he can be excused for doing so thanks to modern medicine.

“Huyu hawezi toshea kwa bedsitter!” Bahati warns young men lusting after his wife

Diana Marua though, was the beneficiary of the fact that Bahati didn’t know to vet his partner. That is why Diana Marua, who has a storied relationship history, managed to land Bahati and convince him she is his best bet at starting a family.

Bahati and Diana Marua pose
Celebrity couple, Diana Marua and Bahati

Think about it. Every time Diana Marua opens her mouth to discuss relationships, the internet provides receipts exposing her as a virtue-signalling hypocrite. Case in point would be the very recent social media gaffe when she opened up about Jalang’o’s business. Incase you have been living in a swamp somewhere in Samburu and only resurfaced today morning, I am referring to the fact that Jalas was exposed by popular micro-blogger, Edgar Obare and he was revealed to be a fisi. One would think common sense would compel Diana Marua, Bahati’s wife to maintain sharap about the topic given her past but nah, she had to turn on her “Twitter fingers”.

I have always wanted to be someone’s wife- Diana Marua screams after hitting 30 years

This virtue signalling tweet from Bahati’s wife earned the ire of many Kenyans on Twitter who came fast and heavy with photos of her hanging out with the same men in Jalang’o’s “FBoy’s Club” that were exposed as having been paying for sex…

https://twitter.com/danyamah/status/1262780700815699968

https://twitter.com/Caleb__Blair/status/1262794780435677185

And if you think Diana Marua’s past is the only way she humiliates Bahati, you are sorely mistaken! She recently revealed that Bahati recycles his panties. Apparently he will wear his underpants twice or three times before cleaning them…
And this last revelation from Diana Marua brings us full circle to the moral of the story.

Mother of 2, Diana Marua

Bahati is a popular gospel artist. His position has led to him being loved and reviled in equal measure. But no one respects Bahati as a man and this is all down to his partner, his mate, his wife Diana Marua.
Whenever their marriage is discussed, it is as a joke. Whenever Bahati attempts to protect it from blunt, truth slinging assholes like me, he gets mocked.

And you know, sure when they are on their reality show they portray a united front but Diana Marua’s history of multiple high-value men hints at a damaged and greatly reduced ability to pair bond successfully and I would go as far as to set a timer on how long their relationship will last.

Also, Diana Marua in her past showed a penchant for dating high-status men. Yaani, celebrities are her cup of tea. That puts added pressure on Bahati to remain relevant so he doesn’t lose his status. This in part explains all the publicity stunts he engages in.

Why is Bahati so desperate for attention?

Add to this Diana Marua’s penchant for discussing their marital issues publicly. There is a West African proverb, No man is a hero to how own wife. But what about when the man’s wife attempts to constantly undress him in public? That is not the same ball game and it is a huge contributor to how people perceive Bahati. This particular point boils down to leadership. And in that regard, Diana marua has refused to recognize Bahati as the leader of their household and honour him as such.

Bahati and Diana Marua on the cover of Parents
Celebirty couple, Diana Marua and Bahati grace the cover of 2019´s main issue of the Parents magazine

But it’s not all doom and gloom, you see, Bahati should really just get in touch with his mentor DJ Mo and ask him to train him on how to lead, how to protect and how to select a mate. Size 8 can train Diana marua on how to STFU on social media but more importantly, how to uphold the honour of her man. Diana marua cannot change what happened in the past but she can very well mitigate how often it gets thrown in Bahati’s face.
Let this sink in, the only reason the fact that she is multiple men’s bed notches is being brought up is that she doesn’t know how to let sleeping dogs lie. Translate this to her home and hearth and you will see why Bahati needs to get Size 8 to mentor her real soon or else it’s curtains for their marriage.

And Bahati should make no mistake about this being a grave concern. As it is said, Caesar’s wife must be above reproach.

How Willy Paul completely beat Bahati in their beef

Willy Paul and Bahati had beef. While the industry really pushed hard to help Bahati win their beef, Willy Paul slogged it out alone and has completely pummelled Bahati to the point any time the two come up, it is hard not to feel sorry for Bahati. Granted, that because their’s was a high stakes beef, even the loser, Bahati still came out on top.

‘Don’t mistake me for Weezdom!” Willy Paul slams Bahati

But Willy Paul, because he could stand on his own two feet against the industry got to gain the unintended benefit of being truly independent and also getting to know from early on just who his allies and more importantly, his enemies are. And Willy Paul learning to be independent showed him how to organize his resources and all the factors needed to get a song out especially when people are keen for you to fail.

Willy Paul

Bahati, on the other hand, knew he had allies. He didn’t have to try too hard to make music and he always had a friend who hated Willy Paul more than he disliked him so he was willing to help push his music. As a result, Bahati stuck to his continual feedback loop of having people tell him he was right ion the money.

Bahati discloses secret behind his longterm friendship with Willy Pozee

That is why when Willy Paul finally switched from making gospel music to secular music, he had been toying around with different sounds and he didn’t have to limit himself to any genre’s instrumentals or rely on collaborations. Bahati, on the other hand, cannot make a hit song on his open, having sacrificed that ability as he chased big-name collaborations and he had to also jump on trends like Gengeton which was alien to both him and his fanbase.

Why Bahati wearing his wife’s dress is a HUGE deal

Bahati had to rely heavily on publicity stunts and reality TV shows to remain relevant. Without the publicity stunts, it is almost guaranteed that Bahati would have vanished like your wife’s bad fart after you open the windows. Bahati also had to lean heavily on his wife’s star power. He was lucky in that he chose a bride who was as hungry for stardom as he is so she completely embraced the spotlight. She also has the acumen to build her brand once Bahati gave her a hand.

Willy Paul on his part relies on one thing alone; his music. That doesn’t mean controversies have not haunted his career like Diana Marua’s past sexual relationships haunts her. That just means that he doesn’t create publicity stunts nor dwell on controversies just to remain relevant.

Willy Paul is the new Kenyan sex symbol your girlfriend is drooling over

Pozze as he is, is a complete artist who can stand on his body of work. He can actually perform an entire 2 hour set on his own. Bahati would have to sing verses here and there of his collaborations. There really is no comparison at this point in time. Diana Marua’s husband needs artists who haven’t been on the scene for an entire year to sustain his career.

Why no male Kenyan celebrity should complain about cyber bullying

Kenyan celebrities have added a new word to their lexicon and my word they are using it to no end and that word is cyberbullying. As such, many Kenyan female celebrities such as Nadia Mukami have cried about cyberbullying. And she is by no means the only one who has done so with Lillian Muli and Lynda Nyangweso too. Even Bahati and Khaligraph Jones have addressed the issue of cyberbullying and here is where I draw the line.

Celebrities Vs KOT: Cyber Bullying being a norm is sending many to depression

That is not to say that Kenyan celebrities arent indeed getting cyberbullied. Afterall a recent study was done on the international digital phenomenon and Kenyans were highlighted as being a particularly nasty part of the puzzle with the way Kenyans on Twitter delight in tearing down anyone who they feel has earned their ire.
We have seen Lynda Nyangweso get attacked for her weight for no reason other than the fact that someone felt her voice didn’t match her size. Such an incident is disposable and should be condemned as it rightfully was.

Nadia mukami a kenyan clebrity

Perhaps the case can be made that Kenyan celebrities merely bear the brunt of Kenyan culture which has bullying entrenched as a form of initiation as form ones (monos) often get hazed and bullied when they join high school.

Bully number One! KOT impressed after one Fridah exposes Mulamwah for online bullying and threatening her life

My focus today, however, isn’t the cultural reason for cyberbullying but to critique the manner in which male Kenyan celebrities belly ache about getting cyberbullied. Perhaps this is an old fashioned, nearly Old Testament approach to masculinity, but I have been raised to believe that we as men must be stoic.

Kenyan celebrity bahati

So it befuddled and boggles the mind to see men decry getting called on social media although they never fully thought through what being a celebrity is all about. This is by no means my telling rappers like Khaligraph Jones not to hit back at the haters because after all, one mustn’t dish out what they cannot take. And rappers such as Eminem and Kanye West have famously lashed out at haters and critics but with one major difference. They did not try to cast themselves in the light of victims. They did not try to cut the image of the defeated. They did indeed acknowledge their underdog status but they opted to fight on rather than bitch out.

Azziad Nasenya speaks up on claims of referring to Diamond Platnumz as ‘a woman eater!’ (Interview)

But Ozymandias, how can you be so sure about this fact? Well, because men are meant to be stoic. Men are meant to be the rocks of society. If a male Kenyan celebrity cannot deal with the unwanted attention that comes hand-in-hand with the love they receive, then the path is clear, quit. Or log off your computer and go outside to the real world. That is always the option they have. Kenyan celebrities need to stop bellyaching and start realizing that they could always simply switch off their comment section and limit access to their DMs.

Think about it. What stops Jimmy Gait from switching off the comments on his Youtube videos? What’s to stop Jimmy Gait from stopping people from commenting on his social media profiles? I really do not understand why he cries about such things. Yes, there are some horrible people in this world. But we all face the unfairness of life and when you can mute it, do so. I shouldn’t have to remind these men that they have elected to let this negativity remain in their lives as they refuse to handle the situation.
Khaligraph Jones is a fantastic example of what Kenyan male celebrities should do when faced with haters; put that angst into music instead of whining. Create music so good, even your haters have no choice but to clap for you.

Why Bahati wearing his wife’s dress is a HUGE deal

Bahati has decided that if the internet is going to troll him, then he is going to double down and agree and amplify the trolls hate on himself. So what he has been doing of late is him attempting to own the barbs and flaws before they can be be used against him. Whether or not he is successfully implementing the strategy is a matter for time to tell.

Gospel star, Bahati

Bahati responds to Khaligraph Jones’ diss!

But he recently did something that many pundits believe is taking things just a step too far, he decided to borrow his wife’s dress and brassiere and he adorned them to troll the trolls and perhaps one-up them. The problem with this is the fact that it is bigger than him as an artist and Kenyan celebrity.

bahati
Bahati

The fact that Bahati decided to rock a dress is a HUGE issue because it is a reminder of issues that African and people of African descent have had to deal with in regards to systemic emasculation and gaining mainstream acceptance.

Why is the Kenyan gospel industry such a mess?

The trend of black actors and entertainers wearing dresses is a thing that was made not only powerful but brought to the forefront of black collective awareness by guys like Tyler Perry with his Madea bit. But make no mistakes about it, this trend goes back to the minstrel shows.

Bahati at EMB studios
EMB Founder, Bahati

Back in 2006, the first real celebrity to question this trend was Dave Chappelle who asked why black male entertainers find themselves performing in a dress at some point in their career while he was on the Oprah Winfrey show. You name them, they have had to don a dress, from Eddie Murphy to Jammie Foxx and Eddie Murphy.

Why Bahati shutting down EMB Records is a blow to Kenyan gospel

Maybe this is down to guys hustling and doing anything for shits and giggles but this also for the conscious educated minds reminds them of the systemic emasculation of black men. And perhaps Bahati wasn’t aware of this but at the end of the day, he has stumbled into this very politically and socially charged arena.

Bahati in Nigerian traditional attire
Gospel star, Bahati

This is literally a case of Bahati doing his usual shenanigans and getting tied up in something way more serious than he had anticipated.
But for a lot of Kenyan men who saw Bahati do this, they were viscerally put off by this joke and they told the gospel star as much.

And of all the commenters on his post, these seemed to me to be the most genuine:

Verified

Umama umekuingia sasa .Happy mothersday

unakaa smart sana bro kwanza ukiongezea thong ya navy blue… na kamisi ya cream hatari????….

But to me, this is Bahati being Bahati. This is who he is. He is embracing himself fully. Bahati is normalizing the concept of him not wearing the pants in his relationship and household. Bahati is perfectly at one; mentally and physically when he emasculates himself and wears a dress. Why? Perhaps it is down to not having real masculine leadership that he himself could imprint on. Perhaps this is troglodyte humour but whatever the case may be, Bahati mtoto wa mama:

Or maybe, just maybe, Bahati wearing a dress is nothing sinister. After all, we have all read the allegations that this is how the Illuminati makes you one of their pawns.

The Bahatis are Kenya’s Kadarshians and here’s why

Bahati is one of the most loved and reviled Kenyan celebrities in equal measure and equal intensity. The guys who love him do so from the bottom of their hearts and those that can’t stand him wouldn’t piss on him if he were set ablaze.
And that is true for his wife Diana Marua.

“Mtoto wa Diana!” Khaligraph Jones hits out at Bahati and Diana’s marriage, he responds

But their marriage, even as discussed and gossiped about as it is, is one of their biggest business brands. Bahati and his wife have managed to do what only the Kardashians could; make a business out of their day-to-day mundane family lives.

When the reality TV show Keeping Up With The Bahatis or whatever it was called, Kenyans hated on it and the content of the show. It trended on Twitter with Kenyans on the platform sharing their unsolicited opinions of the show and their take on who Bahati is as the head of his household. But they tuned in every week regardless.
Blogs reported on the content of the show which is a very good barometer of just how popular the show was. Entertainment blogs as most of you do not know, are business entities so they have to sit where their readers do and report on what brings in said target audience.

Relationship goals! Diana Marua steps in to defend husband, Bahati after Khaligraph Jones’ new diss track

We watched Bahati navigate his co-parenting agreement with Yvette Obura and saw him mishandle her emotions. We saw him navigate his relationship with his wife and their children aswell as deal with her relationship with his baby mama.
We watched Bahati fail and succeed and we cheered and jeered along. Isn’t this exactly what we do with the Kardashians? We embed ourselves in their lives as if we are the flies on the wall and we watch with an almost morbid fascination anticipating their next stumble or fall.

I mean, even Bahati’s marriage to Diana Marua has formed such juicy content for WhatsApp groups and blogs just as Kanye West and Kim Kardashian’s relationship has. We watch Bahati and his wife squabble about issues such as his focus on his work and their fights and argue over whether they are staged or real-life issues.

Why the Kenyan contemporary gospel scene is struggling

We have watched Bahati go from being Mtoto wa Mama to becoming a star and growing the resultant ego that has made him an ass.
And guess what, we will continue to do so if we are given the opportunity to.

Why Bahati shutting down EMB Records is a blow to Kenyan gospel

Bahati is one of the most polarising gospel artist, celebrity and entertainer in Kenya. Very few people are on the fence about him with most either having taken up a strong dislike to him or holding him in high esteem. He has had a storied career that has seen him not just perform for the president during his campaigns but also set up and run his own record label, Eastlands Most Beloved Records or as it is colloquially known, EMB Records.

Bahati

Nothing best illustrates this than Khaligraph Jones who in a recently released song teaser rapped about Bahati going from “mtoto wa mama” to becoming “mtoto wa Diana“.

And that is peak Bahati because he did indeed go from having all the goodwill an artist can possibly have to becoming loved and reviled in equal measure. But the one thing that seems to have been lost to the hate is the fact that Bahati shutting down EMB Records is a huge blow for the gospel scene.

The end of an Era! Bahati officially shuts down EMB record label, he explains why

Yes, when Bahati opened EMB Records, it was shrouded in the cloud of controversy as a foreign-based Kenyan businessman accused Bahati of conning him. It was alleged that this was how he got his seed funding. Add to that the fact that Bahati’s artists have all left EMB Records and accused him of unscrupulous business practices. Yes, Bahati was signing his artists on virtual slave contracts that would span 10 years.

Meeting of minds: Why Bahati is the 6ix9ine of Kenyan music

And although everything we have heard about EMB Records is a problem, the one good thing that came out of Bahati’s establishing EMB Records was the fact that Kenya had another record label that would take risks on young unknown talent.

That alone was the saving grace Eastlands Most Beloved Records.

And it is a powerful factor because one of the biggest complaints Kenyan youth have is the fact that there are limited facilities and the owners of these facilities do not take risks on them. Bahati, for better or for worse, did. So sure, he is arrogant and a bit of an asshole, sure he is an underhanded businessman but he would give unknown young artists the opportunity to realize their dreams.

Meeting of minds: Why Bahati is the 6ix9ine of Kenyan music

Tekashi 6ix9ine is out of prison and back to doing what he does best, no, not making music, trolling. And when you think about it, every market has it’s own 6ix9ine. In Kenya, that would be Bahati. And why do I say so? I guess that is why you’re still reading this article -to find out.

Bahati, is one of the most trolled Kenyan artists of all time. I wouldn’t be wrong in saying few before him have received the same amount of ire the gospel artist has. Only Jimmy Gait and Ringtone Apoko come to mind. But neither of the two have found a way to surf the wave of hate flowing their way and use it to remain relevant.

Tekashi 6ix9ine

To draw a parallel between 6ix9ine and Bahati is an easy one to draw; both short, both seem to get on people’s nerves every time they open their mouths, both do not care, and both of them seem to only win whenever they release music.

When you look at the path Bahati has had to walk, the similarities are uncanny to that of Tekashi 6ix9ine. Bahati, canoe from the outs of society, being an orphan and found a way to entrench himself in the collective minds of Kenya.
6ix9ine on his part, found a way to go from being a geeky kid to being one of the hottest properties in hiphop.

Singer Bahati

Bahati has been accused of running his artists careers to the ground with many a squabble being recorded at his EMB (Eastlands Most Beloved) Records.
6ix9ine too has had a major falling out with his former allies who happened to be gang members with betrayal forming a major plot for their issues.

Bahati

But more than anything, the fact that unites the two in kinship is that we all secretly want to see them win. Don’t deny it.

Bahati redeems himself as he teams up with Akothee for “Nakupa Moyo “

Now after going on spree with Gengetone artists, now Bahati drops another song dubbed “Nakupa Moyo”. In this he enlists the self declared president of single mothers Akothee.

Bahati  has been on the receiving end lately in the manner in which he was doing his music. He has even been bashed for “mocking God”in the name of making music.

In what seems like a way to redeem himself Bahati has dropped ‘Nakupa Moyo”.

A song of thanksgiving to God for being faithful in the journey of life. I think I missed this side of Bahati’s music too.

The kind of music that would make you feel the conviction.

On the other hand we can’t just ignore how diverse Akothee is. She is a woman that posses talent, ambition and is clearly a motivation to many when it come to dealing with life’s hurdles.

Though controversial her following would give you a totally different perspective of the mother of five.

Gospel artist, Bahati

Nakupa Moyo

Nakupa Moyo means I give you my heart. The two teamed up for this amazing worship like  song where Akothee starts off  reminisces of her past life.

She is grateful to God for getting her through the darkness of life. She sings of when she was working hard to make money and she is thankful that God did not forsake  her.

As you watch the video you notice the the conviction in Akothee’s voice and yes I wouldn’t mind having this on my playlist every morning.

I however, must confess the luo vibe put in by Akothee got me hooked and yes this song might have just redeemed Bahati.

Further, Bahati comes in pouring his heart out on how he is thankful for all he got.He is thankful for his job, family that the only thing he can offer to God is a thankful heart to God.

The lyrics are also simple and easy to understand.

Production

As we jam to the scenic worship song, we must appreciate that it was done under the EMB records by producer Paulo and Teddy B.

The visuals were done and directed by Young Wallace. They could not have done it any better. For one hate them or love them this song is beautiful.

In the meantime watch and tell us what you think. For rating I will go with 9/10.
