Photos: How Betty Kyallo’s ‘After Shave’ high-end barbershop launch went down

Betty Kyallo who doubles up as a mum and business lady has been making money moves since quitting K24 about a year ago.

According to the lady, she now needed growth away from her TV job; and so far BK is ranked among the top businesswomen in Kenya – making a difference in the society.

BK has created job opportunities through her posh salon, Flair by Betty and now she also owns a barber shop. As seen on her page, BK held a lit event during the launch of her ‘Aftershave’ shop.

Thanks to a detailed post shared on her page, we understand that the event saw close friends and family who came in to show support for the hard working mum.

Through her IG page, BK updated her fans about the event saying;

“I’m in Awe of God’s Abundance for me. Yesterday was such a beautiful day for me. My family, friends and Business Associates joined me to celebrate and launch the most amazing barbershop yet @aftershavebyflair I’m happy. Very happy. @biglittlespaces_ke thank you for creating the most stylish space for me. You guys are in my heart. @diamondlightinginteriors you did it again with the beautiful unique lighting. @furmart_furnishers_ wow the furniture again so gorgeous! @evensis_experience you did great with the best decor last night,” shared Betty Kyallo

Mbagathi Hospital is among the top health centers that have been taking care of the COVID-19 patients.

BK treats health workers at Mbagathi hospital

For weeks now, doctors at the hospital have been out of their way to take care and help treat those affected as the number keeps on growing each day. So far Kenya has recorded about 465 persons infected by the virus.

The number of deaths is however low – another reason to upload doctors who have been risking themselves to help save lives night and day!

Betty Kyallo appreciates doctors at Mbagathi

K24’s News anchor Betty Kyallo this past weekend wowed Kenyans after she treated doctors from Mbagathi hospital with hot lunch; just to appreciate them for the hard work done.

The mother of one who is turning out to be Kenyans sweetheart (yes Betty is loved by many) shared a few photos taken during the lunch treat; and in the caption she wrote;

Yesterday my Friend Chef @btdtracy and I decided to do a little something for some of the health workers at Mbagathi. It was just a way to say thank you for the great work they are doing in this pandemic. I want to personally thank the Administration for allowing us to do this. It was worth the hard work.

Having seen how doctors helped save her daughter, Ivanna’s life last year; Betty Kyallo has since grown a soft spot from medical health worker.

In her detailed post, BK thanked all health worker for the work they have been doing; not forgetting the fact that most of them have families back at home and face high risks for getting infected by the virus. She wrote;

Thank you to all the doctors, nurses, clinicians, lab technicians plus all the support staff including cleaners, guards. Also a big thank you to the kitchen staff led by Solomon who together with his team led us so well till we were done. Big up @btdtracy for thinking of this amazing idea. We ended up being of service to more than 150 staff.

Betty Kyallo finally speaks after her intoxicated live Instagram video went viral portraying a different BK from the one we are used to!

The lady who also happens to be a mother of one went on live to tell off those expecting the impossible from her. BK made it known that she is also human and just like everyone else, she deserves some fun away from work.

There are however a few characters here and there who have bashed her for the video showing an intoxicated BK!

Apparently since some children look up to Betty, she is then expected to act holier than thou – something she has refused!

Anyway in a few new videos shared on her Instagram page; Ms BK took the opportunity to thank everyone who sent her hugs for being a strong, independent and single mum!

Most of her fans have encouraged the mother of one to continue speaking her heart out every once in a while; to help reduce the stress and pressure of both family and work.

This was however the first time BK opened up showing fans a side they had never seen! Judging from BK’s don’t care attitude at the time; it’s only fair to realize that she is not only a celebrity but a human being who just made it to the lime light!

So far, everything on her side seems just fine even with the coronavirus taking over the world.

BK has made it her business to empower women and the girl child everywhere she goes – so calling her a mentor isn’t so bad right?
