Viral TikTok video “Angela” by Boutross welcomes Fiji Dance Group

Singer Mwebia Munene, known as Boutross, has seen his song “Angela” gain worldwide popularity on TikTok, thanks to a lively performance by Fijian dance group Auds_vais.

The six talented girls of Auds_vais set TikTok ablaze with their energetic rendition of “Angela,” captivating viewers globally.

The video quickly went viral, with many users tagging Boutross to witness the electrifying dance routine.

Excited fans like Sina Source expressed hope for Boutross to tour Polynesia and Oceania, where his music is trending. The video received enthusiastic responses from viewers in various regions.

Sam observed, “Is this the Women’s Guild of Fiji? They’ve got rhythm and seem to be having fun,” while _candy suggested, “Another hit from Kenya! Tanzanians, listen to ‘Sukari’ by Zuchu; you’ll love it.”

Adding humor to the conversation, AbdiRahman Moha Ar joked, “From clubs in Nairobi to innocent-looking women listening to Boutross.”

In a previous interview, Boutross reflected on the unexpected success of “Angela” and its profound impact on his career.

While he initially thought it would be a hit, the rapper didn’t anticipate its massive success, garnering 5 billion views and reaching diverse audiences, even in remote villages.

Contrary to popular belief, Boutross clarified that “Angela” wasn’t inspired by a real person but symbolizes individual relationship preferences.

He revealed that the song was a spontaneous creation during a recording session, describing it as a “mistake” that turned into a life-changing hit.

Since its release in January 2023, “Angela” has become a youth anthem, solidifying Boutross’ position as a musical force to be reckoned with.

‘I’m Not Remorseful Over My Explicit Photos’- Boutross

Fans are not yet done with ‘Angela’ hitmaker Boutross over his leaked n*de pictures that surfaced online several days ago.

According to reports first shared by blogger Edgar Obare, the ‘Angela’ hitmaker met the young lady at a club in Mombasa. He took her home for a one-night stand and paid her Ksh4,000.

So story ilianza like this, Kenyan artist Boutross Munene while in Mombasa had a one night stand and paid the woman only 4,000 KES, to revenge she exposes his n*des,” Obare tweeted.

Unsatisfied with the amount, the lady who was also captured in the picture smiling beside the artiste shared naked pictures of the singer who still had his c*ndom intact. He was fast asleep at the time.

If you thought the original version, which was released in December 2019, was dope then you haven’t seen anything yet because the remix is out of this word, quite literally.

Boutross teams up with Xeniah Manasseh and Zikki on 'Pendeka'
Boutross Munene

To be honest, I’ve listened to Kitu Nono Remix a couple of times and the more I play it is the more I love it because it is so infectious.

All the artists who were featured on this track brought their A-Games and I find it hard to decide whose verse I loved the most because they all nailed it.

Take for instance Breeder LW who is on the first verse. His flow and wordplay skills are so dope and you just want to keep listening to him as he does his thing because it sounds so pleasant to the ears.

Ssaru

The two ladies on this jam i.e. Maandy and Ssaru also killed it. They both have good lyrical skills and I would not be surprised if either of them becomes Kenya’s next biggest femcee.

I’m a huge fan of Boutross Munene, who is one third of the Alliance Domini Family (ADF), so naturally you’d expect me to say that he did a good job but believe you me, he really came through on this one.

Denzel Kong and Mastar VK did not disappoint either. Both of them have some great punchlines that will leave you scratching your head as you try to make sense of it all and that is not a bad thing or is it?

I really love the beat on this jam. If you ask me, the producer deserves a pat on the back for the good work. The video is also awesome, with some impeccable shots.

The song titled Kam Thru is all about having a good time and forgetting about the things that have been bugging you i.e. let loose a bit.

I love totally this track. The first reason is pretty obvious and that is the fact that Maandy’s voice is beautiful and you just want to keep listening to her. I mean, why am I  just discovering her? Where the heck have I been?

Maandy
Maandy

Other than her verse, this lass also did a good job on the chorus. It is so infectious and you will find yourself singing along in no time, trust me.

As expected, Boutross nailed it too. His verse was really dope. I must admit that I totally loved how kind of he moved away from the Shrap kind of singing that we all came to know him for and gave his fans a cocktail of sorts.

His wordplay skills is also out of this world, some of the things that he says in this song will leave you scratching your head as you try to make sense of them.

Boutross Munene

To add to that, their voices really blend well together, it’s like the two of them were meant for each other. I know I’m pushing it. Sorry.

The beat and instrumentation on Kam Thru is so sick. It has elements of a love ballad and a club banger at the same time. I wouldn’t really be surprised if I saw people busting moves to this jam.

The song dubbed Hit That Whoa, which is off his 6ixviewsii8k mixtape, has been getting massive airplay on local TV and radio stations since it was released a few days ago.

Just like other releases from the upcoming mixtape, I really love this song. As you listen to Boutross you not only get to appreciate the evolution of local rap but also his sheer creativity.

Boutross Munene
Boutross Munene

His rhymes are so dope and well-thought out. To add to that, his flow is so effortless and you can’t help but nod as he goes about his business. Don’t even get me started on his punchlines. Put simply, Boutross is the truth.

Notably, Grovee Joe also has a sick flow. She aced the hook for this jam and made it look like child’s play. If you have not heard of this lass before then it’s about time you knew her name.

The beat is also dope. If you are familiar with Dede’s work then I am sure you know that he never disappoints. I dare even say that this beat is the catchiest on the songs that have been released so far.

I honestly can’t wait it hear more songs from Boutross’ mix tape titled 6ixviewsii8k because from the look of things it is totally fire. Enough said.

Kenyan rapper Boutross Munene, who is one third of the Alliance Domini (AD) Family and famed for his Wrong hit,  has dropped a new track alongside Sol Generation’s Nviiri The Storyteller and we are really feeling it.

The jam dubbed Sin Thea, which is from his 6ixviewsii8k mixtape, has been getting massive airplay on local TV and radio stations since it was released a few days ago.

Basically, the song is about a lass who’s is causing a certain guy, presumably Boutross, many sleepless nights because of her beauty. Sounds cliche? Wait until you listen to this jam.

Nviiri The Storyteller
Nviiri The Storyteller

Just like other releases from his upcoming mixtape, I really love this song. As you listen to Boutross you not only get to appreciate the evolution of local rap but also his sheer creativity.

Perhaps the most interesting thing about this track is that Bouti, as he is popularly known, is singing more than he is rapping. I never thought we’d see this day because he is a much better singer.

If you listen to the song keenly, you’ll notice the two alter egos that formed the basis of this mixtape. His hoarse voice is the icing on the cake.

As expected, Nviiri The Storyteller also did a good job. The way this chap sings you can tell that it is coming from the heart so much so that if you are the emotional kind you might even shed a tear. Okay, maybe I am pushing it.

Boutross’ voice blends perfectly with that of the Pombe Sigara hitmaker. If you ask me, this is probably the best song from this mixtape.

The beat is also on point. If you are familiar with Munene’s work then I’m sure you know that he never disappoints. I dare even say that this beat is the catchiest from Boutross’ 6ixviewsii8k mixtape.

The beat is also dope. If you are familiar with Ceezy’s work then I am sure you know that he never disappoints. I dare even say that this beat is the catchiest this far.

Boutross has teamed up with Maandy on ‘Kam Thru’ and it’a big tune (Video)

Celebrated new-age rapper Boutross Munene, or Bouti if you like, has released a new song with Maandy and we are really feeling it.

The song dubbed Juju is a cover of a 2006 classic by Nameless an Mr. Lenny which goes by the same title and boy he totally nailed it.

Boutross Munene

Unlike the original version, Boutross’ rendition has a rap – or is it shrap – verse and believe you me, this made such a big difference. To add to that, the two songs are similar but different. You catch my drift?

Perhaps the most amazing thing about this song is listening to Boutross sing. You know, we are used to him rapping but in this jam, he singing in most parts. This chap is really talented.

The beat on this jam is also on point. If you are familiar with Lemario’s work then I am sure you know that he never disappoints. I dare even say that this beat is more catchy than the original one.

I honestly can’t wait it hear more songs from Boutross’ mix tape titled 6ixviewsii8k because from the look of things it is totally fire. Enough said.

Boutross has linked up with Barak Jacuzzi on ‘Bank’ and we really love it (Video)

Kenyan rapper Boutross Munene, who is one third of the Alliance Domini (AD) Family, has dropped a new joint with Barak Jacuzzi it slaps really hard.

Also read: Boutross, young rapper who is changing the game

The song dubbed Bank, which is the 4th single off Boutross’ upcoming project titled 6IXViewsII8K, is about hustling hard and balling out of control.

Boutross
Boutross

If you’ve never listened to a Shrap song, chances are you will be head over heels from the moment you play this one. I am not kidding.

As expected, Boutross, or Bouti if you like – really came through on this jam. His flow is so dope that I kept smiling as I listened to him.

My favourite line is the part where he says, “Buda si cheque, cash, kama ni debt, dash kama ni peng, smash, all in the face, splash, eey, maybe you knew me back then but now I’m a new cat, eey, maybe you thought I was broke but I got new stash, eey.”

His rhymes are well thought out. I mean, how can you not pay homage to the Wrong hitmaker or even love Shrap for that matter? Are you even from this planet? I guess not!

Barak Jacuzzi
Barak Jacuzzi

Anyway, Barak Jacuzzi also did a great job. His bars also had some dope bars in this jam. However, in my opinion, he stands no chance if you pit him against Boutross.

This song was produced by a chap who’s  simply known as Oriedo and to be honest, he really nailed it. If you do away with the Swahili Sheng words you might think this is one of those trap jams from majuu. Props to him.

Listen to Bank below and tell us what you think.

Boutross has dropped a new jam ‘Friend Zone’ and it’s too lit (Audio)

Kenyan rapper Boutross Munene, who is famed for his Wrong hit, has dropped a new joint and we are really feeling it. No kidding.

The jam dubbed Friend Zone is all about how ladies keep you as their friends and do all manner of things around you but expect you not to catch feelings (I’m sure most if not all guys can relate to this).

As expected, Boutross came through with some dope bars and witty rhymes on this jam. He has proven to us that he is indeed the shrap lord.

Boutross
Boutross

The verse that really stood out for me in this jam is the part where he says, “Aay big mummy, big daddy always ready to go deep diving, I love mamas, all mamas trying to show me that big belly in the small yanas, trying to make…”

If this is not greatness, then I really don’t know what is ladies and gentlemen. I really don’t.

In as much as the song is exceptional, at some point I felt like Boutross’ vocals were lazy or should I say it’s not what we are used to.

The beat which was produced by the one and only Le Mario was also dope. It really gives you the feeling that you’re listening to a Shrap song. Props to him.

Listen to Friend Zone below and tell us what you think.

Ochunglo Family’s Benzema has teamed up with Raj and Boutross on ‘Chorea’ and it’s a big tune (Video)

Benzema, who is one third of Ochunglo Family, has a new jam with Boutross and Raj and it slaps really hard. Like, really!

Also read: Boutross, young rapper who is changing the game

The song dubbed Chorea is all about having a good time, whether you planned for it or not. If you didn’t know chorea is a Sheng’ word that means ‘to plan for.’

Although this is not the kind of jam that you would expect Boutross or Raj to jump on, I think they really outdid themselves.

Boutross Munene
Boutross Munene

I loved the hook by Bouti, as he’s popularly known, there’s something about his coarse and lazy voice (some would call it baritone) that made it outstanding.

Of course, I also loved Raj’s verse on Chorea. I mean, how can I not? This lad’s flow is totally out of this world. No kidding.

Raj Kenya
Raj Kenya

In his verse, Raj says, “Shawty wako sikimbizi, wiki mbili tusha jiggy jiggy, ndizi biggy, mimi sitishiki, sishikiki na nakula paka kama mishikaki, ka si pesa baby tena me sitaki nina taki ya akina Taty, Akina Keti me waliniseti.”

If this is not greatness then I  don’t know what is ladies and gentlemen. I really don’t!

Benzema, who in my opinion is the illest lyricist in Ochunglo Family, also did a good job on this jam. Put simply, they all delivered.

The beat, which was produced by DJ Nephas, was also on point. Ivan Odie – who was the videographer also did a commendable job.

Watch Chorea below and tell us what you think.
