Fareed Khimani has made a grand comeback to Capital FM after leaving Nation FM. The veteran host will replace Maqbul in the morning show alongside Amina Rabar.

Taking to social media, Khimani announced his return to the radio where he worked in the 2000s.

“From ex to next”.

Admiration

Khimani also confessed that he has always wanted to work with Amina and getting the opportunity was a sure dream come true.

“I always had a list of things to do before my next birthday… Well one of them is to work with this very talented Co-host @aminaabdirabar on @984inthemorning #Breakfast984,” read his tweet.

The presenter joins Capital FM just days after Joey Muthengi was added to replace Cess. Muthengi is hosting the jam.

Capital FM forced to deny they fired Hits not homework ‘struggling’ presenters

Urban radio Capital FM has denied that it has fired it’s Hit Not Home Work presenters after Kenyans noticed they have been conspicuously missing in the show.

Hit Not Home Work presenters Anne Mwaura Tracy Wanjiru Jo Kisila and Anita Nderu controversially got the job last year after Capital FM did an audition.

Word has it that they have been really struggling since taking over the show. The reports further said that Capital had poached Neville from Homeboyz radio to take over the Hits not homework that has been losing its popularity over time.

Not true

According to Capital FM Programmes Controller Michael Waithaka, the station hasn’t fired the crew but has just reshuffled them to give Hits not Homework an new look.

“The show just needed direction. They were on a one year contract from Capital One of which ended in January but that doesn’t mean that they are out of Capital. Because basically what was supposed to happen every year we had agreed on refreshing the show, we had targets. No one has been fired, Anne moved to The Fuse, Tracy is on Saturday breakfast,” said Michael Waithaka.
