David Ndii says Kenya Kwanza should have lost the election to avoid inheriting Uhuru Kenyatta’s debt crisis

David Ndii, the chair of President William Ruto’s Council of Economic Advisors, has said that he wishes the Kenya Kwanza alliance had lost the election so that the Azimio la Umoja coalition would have had to deal with the country’s debt crisis.

Ndii, an economist, claimed that former President Uhuru Kenyatta did not take any action to alleviate the debt crisis before he left office, instead choosing to “burn Forex Reserves.”

In a series of tweets and replies on his official Twitter account, Ndii predicted difficult economic times for Kenya and advised citizens to prepare for the worst when loans mature. He said that the shilling’s sharp decline against the dollar has made matters worse.

“If US rates don’t ease for markets to open for frontier economies…it’s a wing and a prayer. Over to you churchgoers,” Ndii tweeted.

Ndii also said that Uhuru’s debt legacy is a “nightmare” and that he has been forced to think that it would have been better if Kenya Kwanza had lost the election.

Responding to a tweet from @murigimuraya, who suggested that Uhuru had managed to retain investor confidence after winning his second term, Ndii said it was a “miracle” that Kenya had not defaulted on its debts.

“Uhuru’s debt legacy nightmare. A trillion domestic redemption in 2023. It’s a miracle we’ve not defaulted. Foreign redemptions double in 2024,” Ndii tweeted.

David Ndii Claims Ruto Funded David Ndii Claims Ruto Funded Linda Katiba, But Karua and Mwangi Deny

Economist David Ndii has claimed that President William Ruto quietly funded the Linda Katiba initiative, which challenged the constitutionality of the Building Bridges Initiative (BBI).

Ndii, who is currently the chairperson of the President’s Council of Economic Advisors, said that Ruto, who was Kenyatta’s deputy at the time, supported the initiative. He also claimed that Martha Karua and Boniface Mwangi were part of the initiative.

However, Karua and Mwangi have denied Ndii’s claims. Karua said that when she was involved with Linda Katiba, the members contributed their own resources to fund the initiative. She said that by the time Ndii got Ruto to support the cause, she was no longer a part of it.

Mwangi also denied Ndii’s claims, saying that he volunteered his time and resources to Linda Katiba. He said that he even hosted and fed Ndii in his home.

The exchange between Ndii, Karua, and Mwangi has sparked a debate about the funding of Linda Katiba. Some people have questioned Ndii’s motives for making the claims, while others have said that the claims should be investigated.

It remains to be seen whether Ndii’s claims will be substantiated. However, the debate has highlighted the importance of transparency in political funding.

Eric Omondi attacks David Ndii

Eric Omondi decided to hold his own protest that featured him giving unemployed Kenyans CVs to the Deputy President at his office but he was arrested and spent the afternoon in a police cell. His protest came a day after Raila Odinga’s mass protest and didn’t feature as many Kenyans as he wants to differentiate his movement from that of ODM’s.

Following his release, he gave a rather scathing interview in which he called out President Ruto’s chief economic policy advisor who has been tweeting some off-colour and insensitive tweet about Kenyans complaining about the increasing cost of living aswell as the cost of energy.

Totally hilarious! Robert Alai makes sex comment about Citizen TV anchors, David Ndii’s response will surely make him visit Sabina Joy

There is no doubt Citizen TV has the sexiest news anchors. But Robert Alai clams Royal Media Service has ulterior motive in hiring beautiful anchors.

The controversial blogger took to twitter to complain about being served ‘soft porn’ by Citizen TV. He shared photos of Vyonne Okwara anchoring news and said RMS top honchos were just pimps.

“Royal Media is just serving us soft porn. Wachira Waruru and SK Macharia are just pimps. Sex is the content. No serious news content here,” Alai twitted.

Responses

Alai’s tweet attracted savage response from Kenyans on Twitter. Economist David Ndii was among those who hit back at Alai over his tweet.

Ndii urged Alai to visit a brothel instead of complaining about his sexual thirst on Twitter.

“DP Ruto’s Weston Hotel will not be spared in the ongoing demolition exercise” Sonko assures Kenyans

Economist David Ndii on Monday August 13th called on president Uhuru Kenyatta to ensure Weston Hotel which is linked to deputy president William Ruto is demolished to get back grabbed public land.

Ndii also stressed that Taj Mall (now Airgate center) should also demolished just like Southend Mall and Ukay Centre since it’s also built on road reserve.

They will all be demolished

Nairobi governor Mike Sonko on Tuesday August 14th assured Kenyans that all buildings built on grabbed public land and riparian land will all be demolished.

Sonko also fired shots at Ferdinand Waititu who called on the demolition exercise in Nairobi to stop. The Kiambu governor sensationally stated the owners of buildings built on riparian land should be made to divert the rivers at their own cost.

“Kama watu wanasupport ubomoaji, mimi hapana support. Mambo iangaliwe kama kuna nyumba yako imekaribiana na mto, wewe uambiwe ni gharama yako kuhakikisha hiyo mto imesonga kidogo. Lakini kubomoa nyumba is not a solution. Honestly speaking. It’s such a big loss,” said Waititu on Sunday during a church service in Kikuyu constituency.

Sonko told Waititu to concentrate on his county of Kiambu and stop meddling in Nairobi affairs;

“My good friend and colleague should concentrate on his county. He should know we don’t mix friendship with work. Even Weston; My Buru buru Casurina cocobeach plot; Taj mall and many other buildings shall not be spared if found to be on riparian or public land.
OR May be he does not know what is the definition of a Riparian land and that’s why even in campus he was copying me during CATS. Infact he needs to tell us the status of a petrol station constructed on a grabbed public access at the junction of mihango and Njiru,” wrote Mike Sonko on Facebook.

David Ndii refuses to let SK Macharia’s son rest in peace

SK Macharia’s son John Macharia died on April 26th after being involved in a freak accident. Controversial economist David Ndii had no time to express sympathy to the deceased.

John Macharia died after he crashed his Porsche Cayenne 911 Turbo S along Southern bypass. The multi-million shillings German machine he was driving was totally wrecked in the accident.

1.6 billion scandal

Kenyans on Twitter (KOT) started a conversation to discuss moral values in Kenya after John Macharia was killed in a car worth millions of shillings . KOT wondered why someone would drive a 35 million car when fellow Kenyans were sleeping hungry.

They want me to record a statement

Larry sought to inquire about Ndii’s tweet calling on Nasarites to sign a petition for self determination. The conversation centered on why part of Kenya wanted to break away.

Directorate of Criminal Investigations has invited Larry Madowo for questioning over the interview with Ndii. Below is the letter DCI wrote to Larry Madowo:
