Bongo singer Diamond Platnumz has been making money moves; and so far he is a proud owner of a 3 star hotel based in Mikocheni, Dar Es Salaam. This is the latest ‘building’ added to Diamond Platnumz expensive homes as revealed by his managed.

According to one of his managers, Diamond Platnumz already owns 11 mansions in Tanzania; and might be adding more in the near future. Speaking about the singer’s homes, manager Mkubwa fella went on to say;

Sisi kama viongozi tusingeweza kukubali msanii wetu @diamondplatnumz awe hana nyumba mpaka leo, Diamond anamiliki nyumba 11 Mpaka sasa

While giving more information about his new hotel; singer Diamond Platnumz revealed that the he will be launching the new hotel soon.  But since  businesses are slow everywhere, Platnumz is willing to use the hotel as quarantine area for all the affected person’s in Tanzania.

Nimenunua Hotel maeneo ya mikocheni, nimeshakabidhiwa documents zangu; ipo kwenye marekebisho kadhaa Kisha nitaitambulisha. Hotel ile ambayo nimeinunua niko radhi niitoe kwa serekali kwa muda huu ili iweze kutumika Kama Karantini; au Hospital mpaka pale Corona itakapoisha.

As other artists continue to spread the importance of staying indoors; Diamond Platnumz and his team paid a visit to several struggling families in Dar Es Salaam where they helped pay rent among other things. Through his instagram page Diamond Platnumz wrote;

“Although I am amongst those affected by this pandemic on Econom; with the little that God has blessed me with. I have decided to at least offer a helping hand by paying 3 Months house rent to 500 families; as my kind gesture of helping one another during these terrible times of fighting COVID-19. for I believe i should share your troubles and your happiness too,”

Rumor has it that things are not so good in Tanzania; and having the likes of Diamond Platnumz spread awareness on the rising pandemic might help save lives!

I want to build a Wasafi branch in Kenya – Diamond to bring WCB to Kenya

East Africa’s music kingpin, Diamond Platnumz publicly confessed his love and admiration of the motherland, Kenya.

The Tanzanian superstar admitted that Kenya is a united country and that local music artistes are privileged to be a part of such a nation.

Revealing that some of the products and resources that are easily accessible in Kenya, are a luxury in Tanzania.

Kenyans wanapendana sana. Wakati mwingine natamani ningekua nimezaliwa Kenya. Vitu tumefanya leo hapa Kenya, hamna kule Tanzania. (Kenyans love each other and sometimes I wish I was born in Kenya. The things we have done in Kenya today, we don’t have the same in Tanzania)

According to the Bongo Flava sensation, Kenyan artistes should not take the opportunities they have for granted and instead make use of them to full capacity.

Diamond who wished he had been born and bred in Kenya, disclosed:

I’m sure mimi ningekuwa nakaa Kenya kuna vitu vingi ningefanya. (I’m sure if I was living in Kenya, I would have done a lot)

Property company, Diamond Merchant fulfilled his wishes by awarding him a piece of land in Kenya, that runs into hundreds of thousands.

However, that was going to be an investment to launch Wasafi record label in the country, he divulged.

I have a land in Kenya now. I am trying to see if I can build a proper branch for WCB Wasafi here.

Closing off, Chibu thanked Kenyan artistes and the music industry at large because of the support and efforts to change the image of the East African community.

(I thank Kenyan artistes, the entire music industry. I did not do projects because of myself, but because we are East Africa) Let’s keep supporting each other. Let’s take the east African music to the world.
