Mammito and Eddie Butita were a couple for a very long time. Hell, they used to live together at some apartments along Thika Road. They, however, used to deny the fact they were an item for some reason unbeknownst to us.

Well, that denial was rewarded (power in the tongue) as they eventually broke up and Eddie Butita has since moved on and is with a rather comely Cushite babe.

And it is clear to all that Mammito has not yet moved on. She is still pursuing her craft and getting her fill of the highs and lows of it and when she takes a break from doing that, she goes in on her ex with subliminal disses.

She was recently hosted by a podcast and they began talking about her weight loss program cos let’s face it, she is an outlier when it comes to how well she, a Kenyan woman, has managed her weight and this was her chance to shoot a quick missive at Butita.

According to her, her weightloss program used to consist of a gym regimen but that quickly changed once she got into a relationship with “the wrong person”. Essentially, her ex kept her skinny with all the stress that allowed her to lose weight.

Comedian Eddie Butita is a hard man to read and like his friend, YY – they rarely share details of their personal lives on social media…so you can understand the surprise and suspicion that came with Butita unveiling alleged girlfriend’s baby bump.

Wait before i say anything else….has anyone been seeing Mammito of late? I mean – shes been sharing tbt videos and last we heard of her – is when Butita verbally attacked presenter Ankali who had called inquiring about the comedians relationship.

Weird…but ive always heard that if a lady was active on social media then they disappear all of a sudden, then it only means they are dealing with a nasty breakup or is pregnant….and at this point i cant help but wonder….could it be that mammito is….mmmh ama forget about it.

Well – having already mentioned that Butita is a hard man to read, one thing we all know about him is that he knows how to create a buzz.

With his latest video – his name remains on everybody’s lips and although chances are that he wants to keep guessing….I’m pretty sure he’ll eventually drop his new project or maybe unveil a look alike newborn? Maybe.

I have never witnessed the stark disloyalty and betrayal exhibited by comedian Eddie Butita that I saw when Eric Omondi was caught up in Ezekiel Mutua’s ego trap that saw him cancel the current season of Wife Material.

You see, Eric Omondi had conceptualized and created the show, Wife material and he was running it as per his vision. That meant that the show kept getting more and more ratchet as it ran.

Ezekiel Mutua, however, went after him by playing on the technicality that any show that is filmed and distributed in Kenya has to be licensed by the Kenya Film Classification Board. And Bwana Omondi had neglected to get a filming permit -though the show is “distributed” on YouTube. And when we didn’t think things could get worse for the man, Eddie Butita spoke to distance himself from the show.

One has to wonder what drove Eddie Butita to speak up when no one was even aware that he was a member of the production team. So him informing us that he had told Eric Omondi to create a script for the ladies participating in the show came off as rather sly and unnecessary.

Then he went on to seemingly feed the flames Ezekiel Mutua was creating and I found myself wondering why. He said he didn’t want to be part of the show but the money is the only thing that keeps him there. So basically, his loyalty is only dependent on the money and even then, it is shaky. that then raises the question of why Eric Omondi doesn’t just simply get a professional scriptwriter who isn’t only better at the gig but knows when to keep his mouth shut.

The reason I say this is because at the end of the day, the only reason he got the gig is that Eric Omondi considers him a friend. The position wasn’t competitively sourced and filled. It went to some guy Eric thought was his friend. So why not honour that friendship? Why air out your dirty linen and do so right as the man is being dragged over coal by Ezekiel Mutua?

I get it, these celebrities are random people plying their trade and craft within the same eco-system but why bother acting like a friend when it benefits you only to turn around and necessarily attack a person? That is quite the ~~asshole~~ move. It really only betrays that he is silently awaiting Eric Omondi’s downfall and while he had warned Eric Omondi, he is indeed truly only a friend in as far as there are benefits.

Why Butita was smart to keep his relationship with Mammito private

Popular comedian Eddie Butita and his lady, Mammito, are said to be expecting their first child together. The two have been notoriously difficult about revealing any information regarding their relationship.

However, the two are known to live together and recently, Eddie Butita actually insinuated he has a child on the way but this was done without any mention of the lady in question. Still, this is in keeping in line with his previous behaviour of refusing to put his situation put in the open.

And this is a smart thing that he does and it allows both Butita and Mammito to protect more than their privacy.

For starters, the fact that we know nothing about the depth of their relationship means that they are an enigma. Butita and Mammito have kept things so well hidden that any snippet about them is often shocking news. As a result, when they do decide to open up about their relationship, they could potentially brand themselves as a more wholesome show than what the Bahatis have on offer.

Beyond that, they have given themselves the room they need to deal with everything life throws as them in private and emerge with everyone none-the-wiser. When you think about it, Butita and Mammito have the platform to be celebrities but they also enjoy the privacy the rest of us have when it comes to dealing with mundane life and the lows relationships can throw your way.

That means that we have no idea about what happens when they fight. We have no idea about how many times they fight. We have no idea about how romantic they are. And we certainly have never been treated to any scandal involving either Butita or Mammito.

That translates to the,m being able to deal with everyday life like human beings without the pressure of our expectations weighing in on them. They have also been able to filter out the noise and land on someone or rather people who genuinely want to see them happy and wish their relationship well. So what now?

Well, they can simply give each other all their attention and we will have no option but to watch from the outside looking in and speculating.
