Jacqueline Mwangi popularly known as Jolene from Tahidi High has left many talking after a couple of posts she has been sharing on her social media pages for the past few days.

Well, rumor has it that her relationship might be facing some issues judging from the ‘relationship quotes’ seen on her Facebook account now that she deactivated her instagram account. From what we can see from the quotes, the former actress talks about being cheated on and how a man should work on himself….

Not sure whether her quotes should be used as hints as to what is happening in her love life, but from a woman’s perspective I know that most ladies prefer reaching out using such quotes when they are facing issues in their relationships.

Anyway, we cannot confirm what is really going on with Jolene and her baby daddy Kev Nyogz but her quotes have left many assuming that all is not well between her and her man. We will however try to find out more details on what could be going on between them.

A lady by the name of Jane Wanji has left many shocked after she decided to expose a man who she refers to as ‘Ben 10’ a close friend of Kriss darling on Kilimani mums Nairobi page on Facebook.

The lady starts by calling her ex and Kriss Darling a group of devils as she goes on to reveal how her ex used her for her money then dumped her after her Mzungu husband dumped her.

From what she wrote seems that Jane Wanji was pretty much hurt after Ben 10 hooked up with a new lady and since she was no longer in his life her aim was to ‘ the truth’ about the man she was now involved with.

Call it being bitter or rather petty but Jane Wanji was determined to ruin her exes image and of those of his friends. Apart from exposing him for using her wealth, the lady goes on to refer to him as a drug addict and a gay man who is apparently dating Dennis Oliech’s brother. She adds that the two attract wealthy women in their lives by using ‘uchawi’.

I tried reaching out to Kris Darling to hear his side of the story but he hang up at first (assumed he was busy or in a meeting) but after my text and second call went unanswered I figured maybe he wasn’t ready to deal with the drama.

Annabel Onyango is enjoying the thought of becoming a mother soon. She recently announced that she was expecting her first child with Sauti Sol’s manager Marek Fuchs who is by the way her loving husband.

The two are soon to join the list of celebrity parents in Kenya and judging from how much they love each other…we have no doubts that adding a new member to their family will only make things get better.

Standard Media Group mourning the death of their renown journalist, this is the sad story of how he encountered his death

Standard Media Group is now mourning the death of one of their own, Job Weru who passed on a few days after returning home from a job assignment in Israel.

From the information making rounds on social media, it is said that Job Weru who was based in Nyeri by the Standard media fell ill after arriving home from his trip.

However, he was rushed to Avenue hospital in Parklands for a checkup and before he was treated his situation worsened and passed on minutes later as reported on social media.

This come a few days after another celebrated journalist Janet Kanini lost her battle against cancer, a few months after it was declared that her body was free of cancer.

Speaking during a live Instagram session with Mpasho (while on an interview) Avril says that she had a man who was willing to buy her a car but she did not feel the need of accepting it. She went on to add that such gifts always come with ‘rules’ that she would have to adhere to, something she is not ready to do. She said,

Well, I am pretty sure that the lass by now has enough money to buy herself such gifts and being an indepedent woman she wouldn’t want to find her self in a position where she would have to break her own rules just to impress a man because he got her a house or a car.

Bet you never saw the day Janet Mbugua would post a topless photo, right? Well, the day has finally arrived and the ‘reserved’ Janet Mbugua we used to know from then has matured into a fine lady who is capable of taking risks without fearing what people will say.

A few hours ago the mother of one uploaded the unique photo on her official Instagram leaving many surprised as we did not see it coming. She however decided to turn off the comment section – a smart move to block negative comments from fans who would have roasted her for the photo.

“I struggled with acne to a point where I lost my self esteem” Kambua talks about the nightmare dreaded by every woman

There is nothing as having flawless skin. Even those who preach it understand that 99% of women struggle with pimples that may appear occasionally (if you know what I am saying) and it is actually a night mare especially when one hits adolescent, we have all been there.

Kambua is among the most beautiful we have come to see but even with her perfect photos and well done make up… she has come out to reveal that she also struggled with pimples that made her confidence fade off at some point when she was growing up.

The gospel singer talked about this during one of her visits to a certain public school where she was among the speakers  for the #Always4TheGirl campaign which aims at demystifying conversations around menstruation and promoting girl child education. Through her social media pages she wrote to say,

I had always known beautiful, flawless skin until I hit 16! What? Pimples. One, then two, three, then ten! Like overnight they kept springing up. I was so confused. And so were the people around me. The “wajuaji” told me to stop taking margarine, stop eating chocolate, stop using “that” cream…the list was daunting, and endless?. My mom worried because my self esteem quickly took a nose dive. She created home remedies that worked for the most part but didn’t solve the problem because the root cause could not be topically fixed. I was an adolescent. My hormones were in FULL gear and they did not allow me the discretion I yearned for. My hormones announced to all and sundry that yes, my body was changing.

She went on to add that young girls should learn to eat right and have lots of water which is actually good for the skin.

I have not known “flawless” skin since. I don’t just “wake up like this”. It takes work! And a glam team sometimes. Lol?. But I have also come into my own, by loving who I am, pimples or not. Given that I take care of myself (eating well, taking lots of water, and using the right skincare regime). I wish that as a 17, 18, year old someone told me that the acne flare up was not my fault- it was not the chocolate etc, it was just hormones. I wish I knew then that a good dermatologist could bring my acne under control. I wish I knew that there’s so much more to what being a girl is than what she looks like…

Maina Kageni meets renown artists signed under Diamond Platnumz label and this is what he had to say

Maina Kageni’s favorite artist has always been Jose Chameleone and we all know this.

But he also has a soft spot for Diamond Platnumz music which means any artist signed under Wasafi records would obviously impress him…and yes this is true.

Well, the Classic 105 radio presenter finally met Harmonize who is currently in the country for a Media Tour to promote his latest song Niambie. As expected Maina Kageni had to share a photo hanging out with the young man who he highly praised in his caption saying that he is one talented fella. He wrote;

Unlike her daughters, Akothee celebrates her birthday in a low key party held in her ‘dala’

Akothee turned a year older a day ago and for the very first time she opted for a low key party that saw her spent her special day with her parents and other relatives.

She flew all the way to Kisumu where she had a cake session with her loved ones and shockingly none of her children were present for this party. However, as usual her handsome manager tagged along and judging from the pictures she shared I am pretty sure the lady couldn’t have spent it any other way.

Man tries to hit Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko with a soda bottle, whatever happened next must have left him regretting the day he was born

Lately there have been cases of people throwing bottles at each other and as silly at it sounds, a man almost lost his life this past weekend after he tried hitting Mike Sonko with a glass bottle. This happened during during a campaign meeting that was held in Mai Mahiu, Naivasha.

The Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko was apparently in the company of Nakuru Speaker Susan Kihika when this happened.

Anyway, things immediately turned sour when the bottle missed the senator and in a blink of an eye those standing next to the man (who threw the bottle) pounced on him with kicks and blows leaving him unconscious.

An eyewitness who had been watching the man from the start revealed that he had thrown a stone at first but since it did not hit the senator he opted for a bottle which almost hit the senator. He said,

“This time round he was spotted. Youths who were offering security turned their fury on him, beating him seriously, before he was taken to the police station,” said Njoroge.

The senior police officer while addressing the media said that the man severely hurt by the youth who left him from several parts of his body. However, the young man was rushed to hospital where he is currently admitted.

 

The late Kaberere’s wife celebrates her daughter’s 3rd birthday in style

Little Halia Njoki is a miracle baby and one that was born a few hours after her late dad, Kaberere was laid to rest. This was a bitter sweet moment for Njesh wa Qabz who was married to the late singer. But despite all this, she still remembers the love she shared with her husband and having been blessed with a lovely little girl on the day she bid her husband goodbye, the mother of two is grateful as everything happened for a reason.

Well, it has been 3 years now since the gospel singer passed on and to mark his 3rd anniversary Njesh wa Qabz shared a moving message expressing her undying love for her late husband and in another message dedicated to her daughter, she praised her for being a blessing in her life.

Through her social media she revealed the meaning of the name ‘Halia’ and more details about her baby girl. She wrote to say,

“Three years ago hours after we laid her dad to rest, this sweet little gal came to this world and i named her baby Halia which means “In rememberance of” She is such a joy to behold..Ula and i are proud of her.I bless God for taking care of this lovely gal..She’s so special..loves to sing and pray??. .God be praised for this miracle baby..i cannot wait to see what you have in store for her..?You’re the giver of good gifts!Blessed be your Name!”

Sounds bizarre, right? Anyway Awuor Arunga who is a popular jazz trumpeter living in the United States and also got to be featured on Macklemore’s hit song The Heist had a chance to speak with Ghafla a while back and revealed that he was revealed that Shaniqua is the only Kenyan socialite he was ready to smash.

At first it was only right to assume that he had no idea that Shaniqua was just a character being played by a man but even after telling him that he was a man…this did not change his mind. He was still determined or rather very sure that he would like to hit that. He said,

Janet Mbugua has officially bid her TV fans goodbye. She did this last night as she announced that she was no longer going to be part of Royal media services, 6 years after being a loyal and hardworking employee at the TV station.

Her announcement comes weeks after rumour had it that she was planning to call it quits due to some issues. However judging from what she said last night, I have every reason to believe that she left in good terms mainly because Royal media services was more of a family to her.

In her short speech… the former prime-time news anchor thanked her fellow colleagues, viewers, her bosses and Hussein Mohammed who was her co host.

This past weekend was full of fun activities that saw the ‘cool kids’ of Nairobi party wildly. Well it started with Barbeque live that went down on Saturday and on Sunday the eventful Blankets and wines ended the weekend in style.

South African rapper AKA was present and judging from his performance, the fella truly has a lot of Kenyan fans that sang along to his songs.

Ziwani MCA, Millicent Wambui escapes grisly road accident that saw 4 people die on the spot

Ziwani/Kariokor Member of County Assembly (MCA), Millicent Wambui, is lucky to be alive after the personal car she was travelling in rammed head-on into an oncoming trailer on Sunday 9th leaving four of her friends dead on the spot in Gilgil.

According to the reports making rounds on social media Millicent and her friends were on their way back to Nairobi after spending their weekend in Western Kenya where they had gone to give their friend his final send off.

Luckily for the MCA, she escaped with injuries and was airlifted by the Mike Sonko team to the St Mary’s Hospital, Gilgil where she is currently fighting for her life. Her friends on the other hand died on the spot and their bodies were brought back to Chiromo mortuary in Nairobi.

Mike Sonko made the announcement through his social media pages where he wrote to say,

“Hon. Millicent was the only one who survived with numerous fractures, she was rushed to St. Mary’s hospital in gilgil but the hospital had no facilities. However I personally flew to the hospital where I found Hon. Hashim Kamau, nominated Mca Hon.Janet Owala and a women rep aspirant on the ground. We organised for Hon. Millicent to be airlifted to Nairobi hospital where she’s currently admitted. My team was also on the ground to organise for the transportation of the 4 deceased bodies to Chiromo mortuary in Nairobi. I wish Hon. Millicent a quick recovery and also pray to the Almighty God to rest the souls of the deceased in eternal peace,”

Millicent Wambui is quite popular among the youths as she was an actress before she decided to venture into politics in 2013. She also represented Kenya in the reality tv series Big Brother Africa a while back.

Judging from the photo making rounds on social media, the lass could not believe that her man finally got down on his knees to make their relationship public in front of more than 100 people who were partying at the popular club.

Friends, relatives and fans were among those who attended the funeral  of the late Janet Ikua Kanini in Naromoru, Nanyuki town this past weekend, April 8th.

The mother of two was laid to rest by her close family and husband a few days after she lost her battle against cancer, something that left most Kenyans in shock.

Though she is now in a better place, we must admit that the world lost a precious and irreplaceable jewel.

Singer Avril has released her latest single, Uko.

Uko questions the nature of human interactions. Are the people around us genuine? Will they be there when you need them the most?

“Uko is a song that just came from deep within. Life has taught me to question alot of the people who come in and out of lives. I Just felt right writing it,” says Avril.

The song is a departure from what Avril’s fans have heard from her in the past.

“I decided to take on a different direction because music is evolving in Africa. It would be nice to experiment with different sounds. Cedo and I connected on that,” says Avril.

Uko was produced by Cedo and the video directed by J Blessing.

“I have so much in store this year. I will keep doing more music, and i definitely have a few surprises up my sleeve,” says Avril.

Otile Brown reveals the last words his mum said before she died

Losing a mother at a young age must be devastating but since death is something no human power can control, we just have to face it and let life move on.

There are a few celebrities in our midst who lost their parents at a young age but looking at them no one understands the struggles they went through to get where they are now.

However, for one Otile Brown has opened up about his mama who passed on when he was 14 years. Through a post he shared on his Instagram page, the singer revealed that his mother had so much confidence in him to a point where she blessed him moments before she took her last breathe. He wrote to say,

When I was 14,a day before my mama passed on , She looked into my eyes and said “I am not worried about you,you will be ok.”She had so much confidence in me that I just had to believe in myself even more.We will always celebrate you mommy .R.I.P Totoo. #feelingemotional #wcw #justemotionstakingmeover #missyoumommy #confidenceiskey

Now he is among the top artistes in the country doing well in their musical career and judging from his moves, Otile is destined to go far. He might not show how much he suffered in the past but one thing is for sure…his mothers words are truly coming to pass.

Those who believe that being popular aka a socialite does not pay then I will ask them to take a sit and watch the likes of Huddah and the rest blow millions on surgery just to improve their appearance.

Well, Juddie Jay has now joined the circle as she is planning to get a facial surgery to get rid of the big scar on her face. She once revealed that her self esteem went down the moment people started calling her ‘scar face’ which she got after ‘a night went wrong’ as she revealed.

The fact that even her friends started calling her ‘ugly’ forced the lady to write a long post talking self love and how she was going to change all that. she wrote to say,

Anyway this morning she announced that she will be getting a facial surgery soon and after this she plans to hold a big party to unveil her new look. She wrote to say,

The private service attracted her colleagues, close friends of the family and the family she left behind. This opened up an opportunity for her loved ones to bid her their final goodbyes as her body will be moved to her husband’s home in Naromoru, Nanyuki town where she will be aid to rest tomorrow, April 8.

From the little information I have gathered from rounds on social media, seems that most Kenyans have been sending their contributions through the #IstandWithJanet as they support her husband and children who are going through this hard time trying to come into terms with the fact that their mother is no longer with them.
