“I need something bigger” Bahati sneers at Groove Awards after he failed to secure a single nomination slot

Willy Paul and Bahati have dropped the dopest songs this year – ‘I Do’ and ‘Nikumbushe’. But even so, the two gospel singers have failed to secure a single nomination slot in Groove Awards 2017.

Bahati acted more maturely when he found out that Groove Awards had given him the cold shoulder. Speaking to Mzazi Willy Tuva on Radio Citizen on May 3rd, Bahati explained that he had won Groove Awards one too many times that he now looking forward to win other coveted awards like BET and MTV awards.

“Wajua Msanii akibarikiwa kabla u break out kuna changamoto, ila mimi sichukulii kama changamoto una give thanks for everything, sababu ina maanisha mungu anakutoa kwa Nini fulani anakupeleka kwa nini kubwa zaidi, sababu mimi kama mimi nafkiri nimeshinda groove enough time, nimeshinda song of the year, video of the year, collabo of the year, male artiste, kwa ivyo sahu nafeel na na need growth, nahitaji something bigger sikuwa last year na siku expect kurudi, kitu kubwa ambayo tunafaa kusubiri ni BAHATI aletee BET ama MTV” BAHATI alimalizia kwa kuwa shukuru Groove Awards kwa kumpa support na pia kusistiza kuwa hawajokosana na waandaji wa tuzo hizo,” Bahati told Mzazi Willy Tuva.

Bahati and Willy Paul have not been nominated in any category in Groove awards 2017…and Willy Paul didn’t take it lightly that he was brushed off just like that.

A dejected Willy Paul stormed out of Groove Awards nominations gala that was held at the University of Nairobi on Tuesday May 2nd 2017.

The ‘I Do’ hit maker couldn’t stomach being given the cold shoulder by Groove Awards, Willy and his frenemy Bahati didn’t secure a single nomination slot for 2017 Groove Awards.

Willy Paul attacked event organizers after he walked out of Groove nomination gala, he said that they didn’t appreciate hard work.

“Don’t expect them to appreciate your hard work: human beings should not be trusted. If you trust them:: you will only get hurt badly.. get used to being alone.: let ur only option be CHRIST THE KING.. don’t let the earth and the things in it define you.. you’re better than them all,” wrote Willy Paul.
