Crime and Investigative journalist Hussein Mohammed has hang his working boots at KTN after 9 years of serving the people through the media house.

The journalist who is popularly known for his investigative segment that aired on KTN went on to make the announcement through his Twitter handle; leaving his colleagues and fans surprised at his exit.

Hussein Mohammed went on to post saying;

“It has been a great 9 years at @KTNNewsKE Thank you to my colleagues and to all for the support and goodwill you have shown to me over the years. See you soon InshaAllah,”

As seen on the about tweet, Hussein went on to thank his colleagues for the support and goodwill they have been showing him through the years. However now that it is time to make new moves, Hussein still hopes to see most of his colleagues around.

Fans shocked by journalists exit

Judging from the comments left by his fans, it appears that most were not expecting the sudden exit; and if anything, one had been hoping to catch up with an upcoming show. He wrote;

Naile COMING SOON kwani ulikuwa unatuchezea

And lastly one fan went to suggest that he could have been poached by a Somali TV station; however we cannot confirm this for now!

This is what Hussein Mohammed revealed about Janet Mbugua days after she quit Citizen in a live broadcast

Never has anyone ever left television and it was this nostalgic like it has been with Janet Mbugua.

She finally made the announcement that she was leaving Citizen TV a few days back in a live broadcast where she bid all her fans and colleagues goodbye as she seeks to start a new journey in her life.

The fans were heartbroken and I suspect her colleagues as well who have hit social media to offer support and wish her success in her future endeavours.

One person however in the midst of this emotional roller coaster kept their cool and that’s Hussein Mohammed her co-host.

Now we know why…it’s because he was waiting  for the reality to which he has been slapped with to sink in first before he said his goodbyes.

Caroline Mutoko accuses Kenyan journalists of being lazy and at the same time explains why Citizen’s Hussein Mohammed might need to see a shrink one day

Media giant and lifestyle connoisseur Caroline Mutoko is out on the prowl again shortly after taking a swipe at all celebrities vying for electoral seats and her subject of discussion is the beloved Hussein Mohammed .

Like we didn’t see it coming!

Well, Hussein Mohammed has been receiving a lot of love from the public and it’s partly due to his charisma and professionalism when it comes to carrying out interviews.

Even when faced with obstinate characters like honourable Mike Sonko he still manages to keep his cool, maintain decorum, subdue his ego and get the best out of the interviewee.

He has done numerous interviews, especially among politicians and not once has he ever disappointed and for that Kenyans adore him.

It appears Caroline Mutoko is also a huge fan* finally she acknowledges someone*

According to her, Hussein Mohammed is doing a splendid job in a field which is full of egoistic and lazy people-her words not mine and it’s about time someone applauded him for it. Also Royal Media needs to upgrade his health cover because well, he might one day need to see a shrink because of all the bull crap he has to go through every day.

Caroline feels Hussein Mohammed is setting the bar high and all of us journalists should strive to emulate him* ooops sorry, I forgot I’m just a mere blogger*
