Why Diamond failed to show up at Ivan’s burial despite confirming on NTV he would be with Zari at her ex hubby’s funeral

Diamond Platnumz did not attend Ivan Ssemwanga’s funeral in Kayunga District, Central Uganda even though he confirmed he would be there to show support to his wife Zari.

Last Friday May 26^th, Diamond was interviewed by Larry Madowo on the Trend and he confirmed that he would travel to Uganda to attend Ivan’s burial.

“Well kwa ukweli ulikua ni wakati mgumu na mbaka saa hivi ni wakati mgumu kwasababu nlikua nko booked muda kidogo kuhusiana na Korogo festival, na msiba umetokea sasa kucancel tu ghafla show ya watu unajua inawezekana ukapata taswira tofauti, wengine wakachukua tofauti. Sikua na jinsi. So, lakini nliongea na mzazi mwenzangu (Zari) akanielewa, lakini nikimaliza hapa show tu na ntaenda Uganda kwasababu ya mazishi, kuzika. Baada ya hapo ndo ntarudi nyumbani,” Diamond said on the Trend.

So why did Diamond fail to travel to Uganda as promised? Diamond’s manager Sallam Sharaff said they (Diamond and his crew) failed to travel to Uganda because they discovered that Ivan’s body had already been transported upcountry for burial.

Sharaff said Diamond was left with no choice but to board a plane back home instead. (Diamond performed in Nairobi on Sunday).

Rich Gang pours champagne and splashes money in Ivan Ssemwanga’s grave (Video)

The godfather of Rich Gang was finally laid to rest yesterday May 30^th in his rural home in Nakalilo village, Kayunga District, Central Uganda.

Almost all the big names in Ugandan entertainment industry travelled to Kayunga to attend the burial of the fallen tycoon who was known for throwing the hottest parties in Kampala.

Ivan’s own crew – The Rich Gang conducted their own ritual at the grave of their deceased boss. Rich Gang crew threw unknown amount of cash in Ivan’s grave. They also pour expensive champagne in the grave before the coffin was lowered into the grave.

Ivan Ssemwanga’s final resting place DOES NOT befit a fallen tycoon known for flamboyance (photos)

Ivan Ssemwanga lived life in the fast lane, he had the Midas touch but his own funeral is short of anything flamboyance which was synonymous with him.

The funeral service of the godfather of the Rich Gang – Ivan Ssemwanga is underway in Kayunga District, Nakalilo village, Central Uganda.

The remains of the fallen tycoon was transported to his rural home after a requiem mass that was held at Namirembe Cathedral on Monday.

There is no display of opulence at Ivan’s burial unlike other famous wealthy people who are buried in spectacular grandeur, just like they lived when they were alive.

The gravesite, the tents, the catering etc at Ivan’s burial are just ‘common’, the kind you see at a commoner’s burial. The godfather of Rich Gang lived like a king but he’s being buried like a commoner!

Zari’s remarks during Ivan Ssemwanga’s requiem mass proves she’s an iron lady

Zari Hassan is being fought left right and center by Ivan Ssemwanga’s family. But Diamond’s wife is an iron lady who doesn’t cow to intimidations.

Zari’s woes with her ex husband’s family and close friends started in South Africa a few days before the fallen tycoon passed on.

Ivan’s family is treating Zari like a totally stranger who is out to grab their kin’s property. Ivan’s uncle Herbert Luyinda blamed Zari for the tycoon’s death and even dared said that she should take DNA test to determine whether her three boys are Ivan’s biological children.

Well, Zari remarks during Ivan Ssemwanga’s requiem mass proved she’s an iron lady – the church service was held at Namirembe Cathedral on Monday.

Zari stated that she was strong despite everything that was thrown on her path. She made it clear that her mother single-handedly raised her to be a strong woman and that she will do the same with her kids.

“My mother raised me single-handedly and taught me to be strong. I will do the right thing for him (Ivan) and the boys.” Zari said.

Ivan body was transported to his ancestral home in Kayunga after the requiem mass, he will be buried today May 30^th.

It is still sad to think that Ivan Don is no more but life has to move on since there is nothing we can do about it.

His family has already released details about his funeral and according to them Ssemwanga will be laid to rest on Tuesday.

His relatives back at home in Uganda have been preparing for his funeral and according to sources on social media, they are repairing the compound and are expected to reconnect the power which apparently was disconnected about a year ago.

Residents say that the late tycoon has not been helping his community since he did not own any property in Kayunga where he will be laid to rest. However they are now left clearing bushes and the grave yard to avoid embarrassment when friends to the village where Ssemwanga will be laid to rest.
