Masauti teams up with City Boy and Jegede on ‘Fine Body’ (Video)

Mombasa-based singer Mohammed Ali Said, popularly known as Masauti, has released a new jam with City Boy and Jegede and it’s getting so much love from their fans, even their fiercest critics.

The song titled Fine Body has been ruling the airwaves since it was released a few hours ago and to be honest, we are also feeling it.

City Boy
City Boy

Fine Body is club banger. Though I must say that I didn’t really feel it the first time I heard it but it grew on me with time.

The artists who were featured on this jam were well thought out since they are all strong in the different genres that they do.

For instance, City Boy really did a good job on the hook which was inspired by reggae. Interestingly, his verses have the Coastal vibe and if there is anything I really appreciate about an artist then it’s diversity.

Jegede

Masauti also nailed it. If you are a huge fan of the Ipepete hitmaker, like myself, then I don’t need to tell you that he has an amazing voice which he put to good use on this track.

Jegede did not disappoint either. This lad, who dabbles as a producer, has a unique voice and flow that really spiced up this jam. Notably, the beat which he produced is also catchy and blends well with the flow of the artists.

Masterpiece brings Size 8 on board for new jam ‘High Bila Ndom’ (Video)

Gospel singer Emmanuel King, popularly known as Masterpiece and famed for his Kofi Yoo mega hit, has released a new track with Size 8 and it is eliciting mixed reactions.

The jam titled High Bila Ndom, which means getting high without weed, talks about being filled with the Holy Spirit as opposed to, wait for it, getting high using drugs.

Size 8

The song was inspired by Ephesians 5:18. I honestly don’t know what to make of this collabo, part of me feels it’s just whack and at the same time I feel it will grow on me with time.

There is no doubt that both Masterpiece and Size 8 are very talented artists. However, if you ask me, this song could have been executed differently and in a decent manner instead of trying to ride on the Gengetone wave.

Anyway, now that we are here, I’ll say that the only reason that people will listen to High Bila Ndom is because Size 8 is in it. In my opinion, she kind of saved this jam.

Mama Wambo, as she is popularly known, has a melodic voice. She is arguably one of the best female vocalists in the country and she proved that once again in this jam.

Masterpiece

To be fair, Masterpiece’s verse wasn’t that bad. He has a dope flow. My only problem with him is that his rhymes are so basic which means you can almost predict what he is going to say next.

As expected, Jegede did a good job on the beat. It’s so catchy and if you are the kind of person that loves to dance you won’t be able to resist the urge to shake a leg to this one.

The video was also awesome. I loved the choreography, styling, props, concept and general execution. Kudos to Steve Mugo for the good job.

34 GVNG comes through on ‘Miti Ni Dawa’ alongside Jegede and Manio (Video)

34 GVNG (Good Vibes No Guns), the group that is behind big hits such as Olunga, Poko.T and Wabebe, has dropped a new jam alongside Jegede and Manio and it’s a big tune.

The track dubbed Miti Ni Dawa has been getting a lot of airplay since it was released a few days ago and to be honest, we are also feeling it or else we would not be reviewing it, would we? Okay, maybe we would but you get my point.

Jegede

For starters, let me state that I am a huge fan of 34 GVNG. In as much as they are talented, sometimes I feel like they are so underrated because they don’t get a lot of attention like say Boondocks Gang, Sailors or Ethic.

Anyway, that is a story for another day. Let us get back to our review. The two members of the group who are on this track really did a good job.

34 GVNG's Vuva
34 GVNG’s Vuva

For some weird reason I can’t tell with certainty who the two are but it’s likely that it is Vuva and B.Razor and I think the former did a good job. His ability to play around with words is impeccable and so is his flow.

Jegede also aced it.  I mean, it is his song after all. He had some witty rhymes and to add to that his flow was not that bad and he also made a sick beat for this jam.

Listen to Miti Ni Dawa below and tell us what you think. Enjoy!

Boondocks Gang feature VDJ Jones and City Boy on new banger dubbed ‘Prr’ (Video)

Boondocks Gang, the group that became a household name in Kenya after releasing Rieng’ circa 2018, have dropped a new track alongside VDJ Jones and Mombasa-based singer City Boy and it’s a big tune.

The jam dubbed Prr has been getting good airplay on local TV and radio stations since it was released a few days ago and to be honest, we are also feeling it or else we would not be reviewing it, would we?

City Boy
City Boy

On the surface, this track seems stupid and childish but if you listen to it keenly, you’ll appreciate the creativity of the artists who put it together and the ingenuity behind it.

The first verse by Edu Maddox is on point. His flow is so smooth and as you’re listening to him you will find yourself wondering why he is so underrated because he is really talented.

As expected, Ex Ray really came through on this joint. His verse is really solid. To add to that he has a unique ability of playing with words and making impeccable rhymes.

Boondocks Gang
Boondocks Gang

Odi Wa Murang’a also aced it. Other than the fact that he laid down a good verse, he also did a good job on the hook thanks to his unique voice. Actually, I can never tell what I like more between his voice or impeccable lyricism.

City Boy spiced up the song by introducing a ragga/dancehall vibe. Notably, the beat is also great. However, this does not come as a surprise seeing as it was produced by the one and only Jegede.

I don’t have much to say about the video other than the fact that I loved the quality and of course, the vixens who are featured in it. The scene transitioning was also flawless.

Yvonne Darcq has dropped a new banger ‘Chinjiana’ and we are feeling it (Video)

Sultry Kenyan singer Yvonne Darcq is back with another jam and believe you me, it’s one for the books.

Dubbed Chinjiana, which loosely translates to hit on one another, the song is all about flirting with someone that you really like and what follows after that. I believe you are all of age so I don’t really need to explain this.

This song epitomizes what happens in the modern society i.e. how conversations begin in Instagram DMs and before you know it, the two of you are hooking up.

Yvonne Darcq

I really loved the slow ragga/ dance-hall vibe in Chinjiana. In my opinion, it gave the song context and made it more appealing.

Of course, Yvonne Darcq’s sexy voice makes you want to listen to the song again and again. You almost feel like she is telling you slide into her DM. Okay, maybe I’m stretching it but you get my point, don’t you?

I also felt that her approach in this song is different from what we are all used to. While she’s still very seductive, it was awesome to see her vibing to a dance-hall beat.

Chinjiana was produced by the one and only Jegede and he did a commendable, while some may argue that this song is a bit slow, I still feel like it has a party vibe, think of it like a warm up song.

The song was directed by Ricky Bekko of Big Dreams Entertainment and to be honest, apart from the beautiful shots, especially in the club, I also loved the scene transitioning.

Listen to Chinjiana below and tell us what you think.

We really can’t blame Jegede for using Vera Sidika’s name to gain popularity

Every time I listen to a song by Jackson Rankama, popularly known as Jegede, I always ask myself why he’s not among the biggest musicians in Kenya. What could he be doing wrong?

Truth is, this chap who doubles up as a producer and a singer is really talented. I’m sure you are nodding in agreement, aren’t you?

Jegede made his debut in the music industry with Gudi Gudi alongside Naiboi and Kristoff. At the time, he was still with Everlast Band.

The other members of the group were Bam Ram, Baraza and Missed Call.

Everlast Band

After going solo, Jegede went on to release songs such as Pare Pare, My Lover, Bolingo, Rampapa, Buju Buju, which are all great songs if you ask me.

In my opinion, Jegede is super-talented yet seriously underrated.

As such, it does not come as a surprise that he has going to different media houses and professing his love for Vera Sidika in what seems like a well-calculated move.

In as much as he has been saying that he has feelings for the socialite, I doubt he’s interested in her. The way I see it, he’s just using her name to gain traction and who would blame him?

Jegede
Jegede

Look at it like this, Otile Brown is one the most sought-after artists in Kenya because of his ‘relationship stunt’ with Vera Sidika.

In as much as he is talented, he needed people to listen to his music and give him the recognition that he deserved.

He knew too well that ‘dating’ a socialite and featuring her in his music videos would get people talking, so why not?

Similarly, Jegede decided to profess his love for Vera and went on to release a song in which he showers the socialite with praise.

Vera Sidika is almost hitting 70,ooo views on YouTube yet it’s barely a week old, what does that tell you?

The end justifies the means, they say. Time will tell if this strategy will work for Jegede as well.

“I won’t disappoint you in bed,” Jegede promises Vera Sidika in his latest single (Video)

They say love is a beautiful thing and whoever feels it knows it. Producer-cum-singer Jegede is madly in love with Vera Sidika and from the look of things, nothing can stop him!

The former Everlast member has been going around media houses professing his love for the socialite. However, most people dismissed it as a joke.

In an interview on Radio Citizen with Willy M. Tuva, Jegede claimed that he has always had feelings for Vera and has been waiting for the right time talk about it.

Jegede

He said that he had interacted with Vera Sidka once and was blown away by her sweet personality.

“When I talk to someone, I get to understand their personality. I realized she’s such a good lady. She was in relationship at the time so I could not do anything,” he stated.

Apart from her personality, Jegede disclosed that he was also smitten by Vera’s beauty and her legs.

We thought we had seen or heard it all until he released a song a few days ago showering Vera with praises.

The song dubbed Vera Sidika was self-produced. In it, Jegede explains why he is obsessed with Vera. I really hope the latter will listen to it. #IfikieVeraSidika.

Of course, my favourite part is when he says, “Kwanza kwa kitanda sita disappointi, kama zigi zaga nitapiga pointi, kajulubeng (no) master wako msupeng (no) mpaka kwenye ceiling tunakuta kuta bang.”

In as much as some people may argue that Jegede is just seeking attention, I’m sure you’ll all agree that this song is infectious.

¨Nachizi walai!¨ Jegede´s love for Vera Sidika gets too much for him to contain

Kenyan super producer, Jegede once again shows love to socialite, Vera Sidika after writing her a love letter.

Jegede´s heart has been in a bid to win over Vera´s and doesn´t seem to want to back down after coming this far fearlessly captioning:

https://www.instagram.com/p/Bw7BGH2F_AN/

According to Jegede, and ideal man is one who proudly showers praise to his woman publicly before fellow women and not vice versa.

The recording artist decided to take the high road, even sharing Vera´s snaps on his own Instagram page.

To an extent he captions:

Isn´t she lovely? Nachizi walai!

He definitely has gone gaga over the ´woman´ in his life.

On yet another of his posts, the ¨Bujubuju¨ hitmaker reveals the oceans he can cross, just for the curvy beauty:

However, seems he hasn´t reaped much after the bootyful businesswoman went mum on the issue, seemingly not paying attention to him.

Feedback

Fans are however trying to wake him up from his sleep citing that Vera is just not of his class, he needs to realize that soon.

They fire all sorts of shots, probably to scare him away urging him to stop disgracing his dignity:

Sasaa utawezana na vacation za hollywood na high end shopping, mna mambo

Ataweza? ¨She has an amazing heart and I will do it all for her¨ Kenyan producer Jegede in love with Vera Sidika

Pacho records super producer, Jegede goes a mile further in expressing his eternal love for Socialite-cum-video vixen, Vera Sidika.

According to the choreographer, he is serious about the bootyful socialite, whom they have been in communication with for a while now.

Speaking to Radio Maisha, the gospel artist affirms:

I am not joking.

I want you to understand the seriousness of the matter.

We´ve met a couple of times in studio and in video shoot but she was in a relationship then.

Now she is single so….I want Vera.

Apparently, the artist cites that he even sent her a romantic DM.

The music sensation adds:

First of all, it´s not a stunt, I am very serious.

I think I can be the right man for her because the little time we chatted I could tell she has an amazing heart.

We do not have to post our relationship on social media I will do it all for her.

Even cook for her.

Surprisingly, the gospel artist dropped a bomb after stating he went under, to tan himself before re-emerging looking lighter.

I am just a normal Kenyan.

I have been missing so that the bleach can work out.

He seems proud of his new look as he can´t wait to unleash his new tint to the world especially to curvaceous Vera.
