Tanzanian singer Juma Jux has revealed how hurt he was when he heard the news that his ex-girlfriend, Vanessa Mdee, had moved on with Nigerian-American-based musician and actor Rotimi after their break up.
Jux and Mdee were one of the most talked about couples in East Africa when they were together. After their break up, Mdee moved to the US and started her relationship with Rotimi. Years later, Rotimi and Mdee are engaged and have two children together.
In a recent show in Arusha, Jux told his fans, “I was hurt, I was really hurt for sure.”
Juma Jux and Huddah look like the perfect match, right? However the two continue to insist that they are nothing but good friends making money together. With this, the two recently linked up for a romantic song and judging from the video – well…let’s just say this is what ‘bestie bestie chubwi’ actually means.
Well, rumor now has it that for this reason Jux has now been dumped by the gorgeous dark skinned lady he had been dating. This was revealed by Wasafi TV’s top gossip monger Juma Lokole while speaking to cohost Diva the Bawse, revealing the kind of relationship Huddah and Jux have.
Since their first song, Jux has been seeing Huddah. He told Huddah to come to Tanzania.
About Juma Jux losing his girlfriend who also apparently looks alike ex Vanessa Mdee’s twin; the Wasafi TV presenter went on to narrate;
Remember that girl Jux has been living within his lavish mansion. Let me refresh your memory. Juma Jux has been living with a girl, and I know because we go to the same gym. So during this year’s Valentine, Jux had a huge surprise for a girl he kept gushing about. A dark-skinned girl with beautiful legs. Have you seen how beautiful she is? And that girl resembles Vanessa Mdee because even during that time, Jux shared pictures and we all thought it was Vanessa.
Girlfriend stuck on relationship like glue
Well, having realized he has feelings for Huddah, Jux apparently tried getting rid of his girlfriend but she wouldn’t let go. His reasons for asking her to leave is because he allegedly wanted Huddah to stay at his place; but with the other woman still around – of course this wouldn’t work.
So Jux tried to break up with his girlfriend mimi na wewe kafanya bweka ya kila aina’ – do all kinds of good things but she told Jux she is not leaving his house
However with the music video out accompanied by more romantic photos, the other lady then had no option – but to hit the road at the end of the day.
But then again, these are just rumors from Tanzanian news outlet….however despite being a gossipmonger Juma Lokole always finds credible sources to his stories.
The above captioned not only proves that Juma Jux is currently hurting after realizing that Vanessa is now happy with Rotimi; but proves that moving on with the caucasian lady was a big mistake!
Huddah throwing shade
However Huddah who is rumoured to have had a relationship with Jux; totally ignored the caption judging from what she wrote on her comment. Well. just like any envious lady looking to be noticed; the Kenyan socialite went on to remind Jux of the fun they had back in Zanzibar!
Juma Jux is one fine man but after breaking up with Vanessa Mdee; it appears that he still cant find the right woman to settle down with.
He was linked to one model from Thailand identified as Nayika. The two dated for a few months and of course being a celebrity in East Africa; the two made headlines for a few weeks before disappearing again.
However turns out that despite the good life, Jux and Nayika were also battling relationship issues behind closed doors. Speaking during a recent interview Jux opened up revealing unknown details about his past relationship with the caucasian lady.
Juma Jux wen to confirm that they are no longer an item due to the long distance. He went on to reveal that he couldn’t move to Thailand nor could his ex move to Tz; and for this reason they decided to part ways. Jux went on to say;
It didn’t work out men, Long distance relationship is so difficult, I can’t. Now sitaki wanawake wa mbali, wanawake wa mbali siwawezi, I can’t take it anymore.
According to Jux he was ready to be serious with the fine young lady however circumstances could not allow this. The two however remain good friends since they have known each other for quite a long time. He went on to add saying;
Now I’m single. Her name was Nayika, she is from Thailand, nilikuwa namjua kwa muda , tukawa serious kidogo, the thing is the distance tu, she can’t move here and I can’t move there because I have things to do, kwa hiyo tulikuwa tunafika mahali inakuwa too much, so we parted ways.
His ex Vanessa Mdee is however enjoying her stay with her new man Rotimi in the united states.
Fans however feel that this relationship is slowing Vanessa’s career and if the lass is not careful; she might lose everything she has been working hard to achieve all these years! But hey, this is how love works!
Juma Juxx must be packing a bazooka if his ‘don’t rush’ video on Instagram was not exaggerated!
Well, the Tanzanian singer has left many women praying and thanking the almighty for creating the young man!
However, this time around fans were not just impressed by his fine looks and American height; but for his Cassava that could not be concealed by his pajama pants as seen on his Instagram page.
Fans drool over Jux
Among the fans who spotted the huge cassava is Hamisa Mobetto; who could not help but apologize to Juma Jux for no apparent reason – but chances are that the Cassava left her weak!
Others went on to question why Vanessa Mdee dumped Juxx who seems to have everything in order. If it is about money then the guy seems to have more than enough in his account, height, dark skin tone and now – his banana too!
Vanessa Mdee and Rotimi
Anyway thanks to a video shared Vanessa Mdee just recently we understand that the lady is comfortable and quit happy with her new man!
According to Vanessa Mdee, Rotimi has brought so much joy in her life; and unlike before, she is understands what happinesses truly means!
The track dubbed Wewe Tu, which are Swahili words that mean ‘only you’, has been ruling the airwaves since it was released a few hours ago and to be honest, we are also feeling it. Like really.
This joint is really infectious. I have listened to it a couple of times since it was released and every time I play it, it is like I am hearing it for the very first time.
I love Swahili rap. It’s just different and to add to that it just sounds pleasant to the ears. All I am saying is that I like Izo Bizness’ flow in this track. He really nailed it.
This lad has a unique ability to match random words and come up with dope rhymes that will make your finger stick on the replay button because you want to keep listening to him. He also has some dope punchlines.
I’m actually ashamed that it is the first time I am listening to any of his songs. Where have I been all my life because I have obviously been missing out on his greatness. Anyway, as they say better late than never.
As expected, Juma Jux also did a good job. This guy can really sing and the way that he does it you can tell that what he is saying is coming from his heart. Put simply, he has an amazing voice that can resonate with many people.
His style also blends well with that of Izo Bizness. I also love the beat and instrumentation on this track, other than it being catchy, it also blends well with the Izo Bizness’ flow as well as Juma Jux’s melodic voice.
Listen to Wewe Tu below and tell us what you think. Kudos to Izo Bizness and Juma Jux.
Juma Jux seems to be the King of RnB in Tanzania and one of he best in East Africa. Even with the disappointment he sent among his fans when he broke up with fellow super Star Vanessa Mdee the quest to set out his album continued.
The ‘Love album”, has been a major project for Jux and clearly he is doing a good job. Well, considering he is good at serenades, his fans are loving every song he releases.
In this new project he has dropped new jam titled “Unaniweza”. A love song of man hailing praises to the love of is life. For a man that is more of a smooth operator, this will definitely resonate with many.
As we always say love is a beautiful thing and Jux is all about it. I know all fall in love but the madness that happens in between is still what we never understand. But well Jux is in love.
In the lyrical breakdown Juma Jux talks of how this woman is the only source of his happiness. He says she if she cries he hurts, when she laughs his heart melts with joy. Cliche? No love is all inclusive.
Unaniweza loosely translates to you got me. In his words he says, Pindi ukicheka we, Mi moyo unanitabasamu,,,,,
As the album progresses we must give it to him that he has done a good job in the writing and vocal input too. Juma Jux goes on to tell his girl that she is the only one he loves and nobody can break them apart.
Not unless the devil comes in between to destroy their love. Lakini si a cheat is just a cheat? Why would the devil be sought on personal mistakes? mmmhh. Anyway that is what he says.
On the other hand you notice something that seems like an insinuation to what caused their break up with Vanessa.
He says, Labda upite ushetani mwingine, Maneno ya watu nishazoea i don’t care…..Who is that Shetani?I have don’t know yet.
But the obvious fact that Jux is in love and he feels that she is the woman of his dreams. Let’s hope its for the better .
In the meantime we will enjoy this serenade as we wait for the video. For now I will rate it at 6/10. Tell us what you think.
Kenyan artists have been working with their Tanzanian counterparts a lot more lately so much so that people who don’t like Bongo music, like yours truly, are starting to feel like it’s worth their time.
We’ve seen some impressive collabos between Tanzanian and Kenyan artists in the recent past. Some of the include; Timmy Tdat & Rosa Ree, Willy Paul and Nandy, Bahati and Rayvanny, Juma Jux and Nyashisnki and so on.
In my opinion, we need to see more of these and that’s why I came up with a list of artists who I think should work together because why not? Also there’s the fact that it well grow East African music.
That being said, here’s our wish list of collabos:
1. Nadia Mukami and Juma Jux – After watching their mash up of African Lover on Coke Studio, I think these two should get into studio like yesterday.
2. Rosa Ree and Khaligraph Jones – This collabo should have happened a long time ago. I mean why not? Both artists are bad-ass rappers and they would really kill it on one track.
3. Otile Brown & Vanessa Mdee – I’m not quite sure about this but something tells me that a collabo between them would be totally fire. I’m looking forward to the day they will give us a treat.
4. Arrow Bwoy and Rayvanny – I live for the day these two musicians will release a song together. Thinking about it just gives me goosebumps. If a collabo between them comes to pass, it will be the biggest song of the year.
5. Nyashisnki and Nandy – I feel like a collabo between these two would be pure bliss. Nandy’s smooth vocals would really blend in well Nyashisnki’s rap. Get into studio guys!
6. Vivian and Darassa – This is another one that I’m not quite sure about. However, I feel like a rap-infused song with Vivian’s vocals would be totally fire.
Which collabo are you looking forward to? Tell us below.
Tanzanian music is big in Kenya. This is a fact of life and from the look of things, this will be the case for a long time to come. It’s just what it is.
If you are keen enough, you’ll notice that the top trending songs on YouTube (Kenya) are usually Tanzanian songs. As we speak, Diamond’s latest single dubbed The One is occupying the number one spot.
Before that, Harmonize’s Kainama was trending at number one and before that it was probably another Wasafi song or a song the likes of Aslay, Shetta Juma Jux, Darassa or even Ali Kiba. The point is, the biggest song in Kenya on most occasions is always a Tanzanian song.
There’s no explanation for this other than the fact that musicians from that country are very consistent and then there’s the obvious fact that their music is good. From the videos, to the lyrics down to the beat, everything is always top-notch.
Naturally, if you are a music fan, whether male or female, you’ll find yourself vibing to these songs never mind the fact that they are Bongo songs. Let’s be honest, when a song is good, it’s good there are no two ways about it.
I was recently having a conversation with some friends and I thought I should ask them what their thoughts are on men who listen to Bongo music. My question was driven by the fact that Tanzanian jams are always trending in Kenya.
Some of them claimed they would never listen to such songs. If they did, they would come off as weak men. Others, however, admitted that they listen to Bongo music because the songs are infectious. Incase you were wondering, I fall in the latter category. I listen to Tanzanian songs once in a while. Yup!
Truth is, no music genre is a preserve of a certain gender. It’s just the way the society has shaped our thinking. From a young age, men are taught to be tough while ladies are seen as soft. Perhaps this explains why men are drawn to Hip Hop while ladies are drawn to Bongo music, R&B and what not.
This should not be the case. Men should not feel like they are losing their masculinity because they love Bongo music. It’s totally okay to enjoy music that you feel is good. There’s absolutely no shame in it.
Allow me to say this again, “No music genre is a preserve of a certain gender.” If you enjoy Bongo music, knock yourself out, it doesn’t make you any less of a man. And no, I’m not telling you to listen to Tanzanian songs at the expense of Kenyan music.
What are your thoughts on this topic? Feel free to leave a comment below.
Tanzanian RnB singer Juma Jux and Nyashinski have teamed up for a collabo titled, ‘In case you don’t know’ which is a song about love.
The song is the first project between the two who are good friends. It’s all the first music the two have drop since the year started.
The video was shot in Nairobi by trusted video director Hanscana. Jux was recently in Kenya for coke studio Africa session. During his visit to Kenya, Jux explained why he was excited to land a spot on Coke Studio.
“I’m here for Coke Studio recording. I’ve followed up on this for a very long time to no avail. But, finally, I thank God that he has made it possible. It opens great chances for artistes in terms of opportunities, platforms and exposure,” he said.

“Umri wangu umefikia wa kuingia kwenye ndoa, lakini siwezi kwani nina malengo makubwa ambayo bado sijayatimiza hadi sasa hivyo nahofia nikiingia kwenye ndoa kuwa nitabanwa na kushindwa kuyatimiza, maisha ni malengo hivyo siwezi kukurupuka tu, nikishayatimiza hayo malengo ndipo nitaingia kwenye ndoa,” said Vanessa Mdee.
Singer Vanessa Mdee counts herself more than just lucky to have a boyfriend who is just as creative as she is.
In a recent interview with Bongo 5, the singer shared that she missed her lover Juma Jux, badly, when they had broken up. Mdee went on to add that Jux has helped her a lot in creating music content and is even behind their popular album tour; In Love and Money.
“Of course he is my best friend. Ni mtu napenda na napenda kuwa karibu naye na tunashare ideas nyingi sana so hicho ni kitu cha kwanza so unampoteza mtu ambaye umemzoea sana and of ofcourse it’s not the same. Pia kuna ile ushauri. Unampigia alafu mnashauriana. In fact tour hii hingekuepo, of course na kutengenza pesa kama tunavyofanya saa hizi, so in love and money”she said.
According to Vanessa, the two had broken up as she felt she was no longer needed in his life.
Tanzanian singer Vanessa Mdee and his RnB boyfriend Juma Jux pulled a marvelous stunt on stage during their on going tour. The problems is, the government didn’t like.
The two kissed on stage after a thrilling performance during the weekend and went on to share the photos on social media. Tanzania’s Communication Regulatory Authority known as (BASATA) is now coming after them for posting ‘provocative photos’ on social media.
“Sasa huyu Jux na Vanessa hata kama ni wapenzi hawakutakiwa kufanya hayo waliyoonyesha jukwaani kwani kama ni mahaba mnatakiwa muonyeshane mkiwa faragha na siyo hadharani kama walivyofanya tunawafanyia kazi ili kukomesha tabia hizo,” said Chief Executive Geoffrey Mngereza who heads the commission.
The commissioner also warned other artists from posting such photos saying the commission, which was set up to maintain online morality, will hunt them down.
Singer Juma Jux is among the top bongo artists doing quite well in the music industry. He however juggles both music and his clothline that has seen him get recognized by many in Africa.
Away from that, he also shocked many after he confessed to be dating one of the hottest ladies driving many men crazy, Vanessa Mdee.
They however did not date for long as word making rounds on social media claims that Juma Jux did this so that he could go back to his first love who was serving time in prison after she was caught with drugs in China.
Anyway, this could not be true as he recently wrote a moving message which is believed to be directed to Vanessa Mdee. He wrote saying;
