“I respected their relationship, so I didn’t pay attention to what my friend used to say. I didn’t steal her from my friend, and they weren’t married. She used to come to my cyber cafe in Kayole, but I never saw her in that light.”

Kabi disclosed that he stayed in touch with Milly even after her relationship with his friend ended.

In 2013, after experiencing a spiritual transformation, Kabi and Milly began a relationship.

“My friend and Milly broke up after two years, and he started dating someone else whom I also knew. Milly and I still maintained communication, as friends, though. Then, in 2013, I was born again, and that was the turning point. She also had feelings for me. She used to respond to my Facebook posts, and she slid into my DMs, asking to meet and talk,” he explained.

During the interview, Kabi also reflected on his troubled past, revealing his involvement in substance abuse and gang activities.

He described how peer pressure led him to experiment with drugs, starting with cannabis in fifth grade. What began as a seemingly innocent choice spiraled into a dangerous habit over time.

Despite his struggles, Kabi emphasized the importance of staying away from drugs, even seemingly harmless ones like weed, cautioning against their potential to lead young people down destructive paths.

His life took a significant turn when he was diagnosed with tuberculosis, which forced him to quit smoking, including weed, for medical reasons. However, he admitted to facing challenges with relapse initially.

“I can’t cheat. I can’t even flirt with another woman. I block people. There are DMs where you just know someone is hitting on you,” Kabi affirmed.

Having being raised in Kayole, YouTube vlogger Kabi WaJesus was greatly influenced by his friends to engage in drugs and alcohol at a very tender age.  While still in class 5, Kabi discloses that he had already started smoking bhang.

”So uyu chali tukiwa class 5 akaniambia tuende tukavute bangi… We smoked that bangi and then I told my cousin. My cousin na yeye akaenda akaambia my mum…”

Kabi’s mum would later cry and try to convince him to stop consuming drugs. Kabi continued;

”My mum akaniita. She cried. She told me how much hope she had in me and how she wanted me to succeed. At that point I said, to honour my mum, I will stop smoking this bangi. I stopped smoking from class 5 to form 1. But between class 5 and form 1 sasa niliingia kuanza alcohol…”

Kabi’s Near Death Experience

In line with Kabi’s addiction to drugs and alcohol, his near to death experience came when he has a teenager. He reveals that he used to take bhang on a daily basis. The moment he thought he would breathe his last came when he decided to take as much bhang as he could continuously.

”Mimi kuna time nilikuwa navutanga bangi everyday… When I went to college nikaanza kuishi pekee yangu, nilikuwa navuta bangi everyday… There’s this day I decided I want to see how far can this bangi take me… Mikono zangu zikaanza kuwa numb…. Ilifika mahali I can’t move literally. At that point I felt like I’m dying…”

Kabi says that he later prayed and made a covenant with God to give him a 2nd chance and he would stop consuming bhang. That’s how he retracted from it. Watch the full video below;

In addition, Kabi states he used to have multiple partners after high school. He did all sorts of immorality, including having threesomes.

Kabi would later seize from drugs after he took excess bhang to a point of almost taking his own life. According to him, he felt like he was breathing his last while at it; but asked God to give him a 2nd chance and he would stop taking drugs.

Kabi is now one of the most successful YouTubers in the country; with over 400K subs. He credits all his success and healthy love life to God.

Popular YouTuber Kabi WaJesus found himself in hot soup weeks ago; after being exposed on blogger Edgar Obare’s Instagram for being a deadbeat dad.

This was after photos he posted of him with a young girl went viral, with some alleging that the baby was his due to their striking resemblance. Kabi confirmed that this was cousin.

Although he denied the allegations, DNA results have finally revealed he’s the biological father of the child, who he sired with Ruth in 2013.

The baby mama divulged Kabi Wajesus as irresponsible. She claimed he only took care of the daughter, by the name Abby, until she was 3 years old. She struggled by herself afterwards and demanded justice earlier on this year.

After the DNA results, Kabi has now admitted he’ll take full responsibility. He shared the DNA results on Instagram and captioned;

”…Some of you might be aware of the matter involving me regarding baby Abby.

I wish to confirm that Yesterday paternity results were issued that confirmed that I am the biological father of the child. The results confirm that, in 2013 (which was before I got born again and married), I sired Abby.

I know this news comes as a shock to many of you who follow and watch us. I also know that my public comments about this matter gave a false impression which I deeply regret.

Now with the paternity results out, it is a relief as we can now chat the way forward together with the mother for the welfare of our child. I am immediately reaching out to her so that we can discuss and agree on her future…”

Popular Kenyan YouTuber, Kabi WaJesus of the famous WaJesus family has revealed his previous struggles as a young boy. Like most celebrities, he has had his portion of struggles before rising to fame. He runs a YouTube channel with his wife Milly WaJesus. They have quite a good following, with over 350K subscribers. Their channel serves nothing more than serious couple goals.

Speaking on their YouTube channel alongside Njugush and his Wife Wakavinye, Kabi WaJesus reveals that after high school, he used to be a hawker. He dealt with watches and had a friend, whom they did the business with. He also used to sell T-shirts.

 

”Nikafungua ka shop ka matisho apo kwa rodi. And then after some time nika notice, matisho inabidi nizubae apo the whole day. So nikaanza kuendanga tao. So inabidi naenda tao ku hawk. So nilikuwa nauza ma watch tao.”

Kabi WaJesus also reveals that during this period, his high school friend passed by him and avoided him. By this time, he had already met with his wife Milly. The two were however, in two different relationships by then and didn’t think they would end up together.

Kabi has advised young couples to stick with each other no matter what the situation is. Challenges will always be there but there’s always light at the end of the tunnel.
