King kaka merges with Cassidy for his new jam Far Away

King Kaka has merged with Cassidy an American rapper for Far Away. This comes after his recent single release dubbed Poison. The King of rap has been consistent in releasing music in the last few months. This is the second collabo in the last 2 months. He recently collaborated with Bridget Blue for Njia. Far Away has been directed by Hussein Njoroge and produced by Musyox.

Production

This jam is great. You all know how King Kaka does it. The video is in sync with the audio. It is great and the choice of the vixens is a great. The merger with an International rapper is enough evidence that Kaka’s is an international brand. The song is done in both Swahili and English giving it a great feel. Cassidy does not dissapoint, he adds taste to this song. This guy is also great in his lines. Just listen to it, you are going to fall in love. Cassidy also sings some words in Swahili and the American accent is clear.

The chorus was written by King Kaka and Brian Nadra and Performed by Brian Nadra.  Although Cassidy is not in the video, it still is a good jam.

Lyrical Presentation

The lyrics flow so well,  “Okey, jump on it(far far away) Wacha wasi wasi ma, already picked you Am verified pia, tick blue Wiki mzima bana, hapana buda make a killing Sai bana, hapana bana buda make a shilling Kama sio ganji tembea(tembeza) Sai kama flag napepea.” In this verse King Kaka talks of going far away and not to worry and it is all about making money and without it they should walk away.

King Kaka

Also there repetition inn this song; Like in the chorus far away is emphasized, bringing out the title of the song. The voice of Brian Nadra in it is just great. “Far, far away, jump on the way  Let it take you away(take you away) Far, far away, jump on the way  Let it take you away(take you away).”

“Am feeling like a star, today  Am a boss, today  Am drunk, am drunk a lot of alcohol, today   Smoke a can of marijuana out of the jar, today  Turn the blame, ride away and go far away  Am dancing with this brother, I gave a car today.” Cassidy in this stanza he talks about having fan far far away emphasizing the theme of the song.

The song is great and the duo gave it a good feel. I give it a rating of 6/10.

Kenyan musicians have done so many collabos this year and we’re really impressed

Maybe you’ve noticed, maybe you haven’t but Kenyan musicians have dropped so many collabos since the year began. If you are a huge fan of local music, like yours truly, I’m you are also impressed.

For the first time in a long while, there’s something good to say about the local entertainment industry. We’re barely five months into the year and we’ve seen the most unexpected collabos. It’s such an exciting time to be alive.

Artist have not only realized the importance of doing collabos, they have also decided to step out of the comfort zones. On a light note, I’m pretty sure Kenyan musicians agreed that 2019 is the year of working together.

What I love most about this is that our artists are not only working with their fellow Kenyan musicians, they are also crossing borders and working with acts from Tanzania, Nigeria, Ghana and Jamaica.

The likes of rapper Khaligraph Jones have featured on four great collabos since we crossed over into 2019. The songs are; Japo Kidogo, Kiboko (Remix), Megarider (Remix), and Chukua Selfie which was a campaign but still counts.

Papa Jones aslo featured Nigerian rapper Ycee on Gwala which was released in January this year.

If you’ve noticed, Naiboi is also doing a lot of collabos this year. He has two songs with Kristoff, a song with Brown Mauzo. He was featured on Chukua Selfie. His new song with Vivian and Savara dubbed came out a few hours ago.

Arrow Bwoy has also been breaking his back when it comes to music collabos. He has a song with Demarco, another one with Cecile. He has also worked with Gabu and Jovial

Other artists who’ve dropped good collabos this year are; Willy Paul, Timmy Tdat, Nyashinki, Jua Cali, Avril, King Kaka, Mr Seed, The Kansoul, Rankaddah, Rankaddah, Mayonde, Ochunglo Family, just to name a few.

To say the least, I am impressed. I can’t help but imagine how many more great collabos we’ll see before the year ends. I hope this also serves as a wake up call to artists who have been shying away from collabos.

What are some of your favourite local collabos this year? Leave a comment below.

King Kaka’s life and music in a glimpse

Kennedy Tarriq Ombima known by his stage King Kaka is a Kenyan rapper who specializes in Hip hop, song writer, video director, executive producer and an entreprenuer.  King Kaka is the C.E.O of Kaka Empire. He was born on 7th May 1987 .  Initially, King Kaka called himself Kaka sungura(Rabbit) a name he does not use today. His journey in the music industry has not been easy.

Family Relationship and Marriage

Although he is successful today, his childhood was not that easy. He was raised by a single mum, Elizabeth after his dad passed on. The mum did odd jobs to sustain the family.  Ombima  has 4 kids 2 with his first love, rapper Chemutai Sage and two with Nana Owiti. He is currently married to Nana Owiti.

King Kaka, wife Nana Owiti and their Children
Music Career

His is a journey worth watching from the time of Kaka Sungura to King Kaka’s time because for sure he is a king. He recorded and released his first album ” Tales of kakasungura”which featured hit singles ‘Niko kwa jam Nakam’ and ‘Dodoma’ ft Harry Kimani.

watch the video below.

He has really done well since then and has released a lot of jams and done a lot collabos. East Africa and the world generally has accepted his work.  Recently he released an album Eastlando Royalty which has seeing him make flights outside Africa. He is really doing good in marketing his songs and I believe this is what keeps him standing.  Some of the songs in the Eastlando royalty Album include, Njia, Poison, dudaing’. The latter has really done well and it is played everywhere in this Country. honestly the first time I heard the song “dudaing'” I felt like king Kaka had really lost it but the masses proved me wrong. This was a collabo with Kristoff & Magix Enga. The song was done in the language of Sheng’ which is commonly used in Nairobi Eastlands.

Below is a link to the song.

King Kaka has gone to attract a large crowd of followers. He has recently done a collabo with Bridget Blue dubbed “Njia” and his recent single “Poison”. Kaka is something to watch because am sure he is not stopping anytime soon.

watch his recent song on the link below.

Kenyan artist will only get to his level when they produce good content and go an extra mile to market it.

Business

Apart from being a musician, Kaka has also ventured in the world of business. In 2012 he launched his first cloth line. In early 2015 he also launched his purified water company known as Kaka Empire’s Majik Water. He has also been seen in campaigns where he has been supporting girl children in getting sanitary towels to keep them in school. Isn’t this good? King Kaka’s and Nana’s daughter is now the brand ambassador for Marini Naturals baby hair products.

King Kaka is a perfect example that Kenyan music can do. Look at the energy he puts in his work. His style of music is great and is influenced by poetry . His lyrics mostly influenced by the current challenges facing the young generation. He remains to be a great rapper. This guy puts the actual feelings in his words giving it that closeness.

The King Kaka Empire under him recently signed in a new artist Bridget Blue and later she did a collabo with King Kaka for the song dubbed “Njia”. A very emotional song.

King Kaka is back with a new single “Poison”

King kaka is back with a new single Poison. This comes a week after the  release of  Njia which was a collaboration with Bridget Blue. Poison is something that you would want to listen to every minute. It has been produced by Eric “MSYOX” Musyoka , Decimal Records Audio Representation by Provoke.  This is  From The Album Eastlando Royalty.  The song talks about poison or rather toxic people in life. Who would not agree with me that King Kaka is the king of rap?

King kaka has given the jam taste through the style he has used. Rhyme has been used through out the song. It has a good flow and so easy to understand. Also the video is well done. The background is so creative and well thought of just like the lyrics.

The song has a deep meaning and looking at each line it says more on how people behave.  “Kuna time niliwaomba doh ya food wakanitoka hiyo si ndio ughost,  Saa hii nimepata doh ya breako wanataka tugawe hiyo si ndio utoast” ; Here h talks of how he asked for help from his friends and they all left him and noow that he is stable they want a share of what he has. Isn’t this how most friends are? From this the title ‘Poison’ is brought out.

Also symbolism is used through out the song, a style that makes this piece of art unique; “Shape ya madame nadishi bado ni 8 figures”  This is so great where he compares ladies shape to the number eight. This creates a mental picture of the lady he is talking about. “Na hatutawai fanana kama Patipati za lodging”; This line states it clear that people will never be the same.

The song is done in Sheng’, English and Swahili which are the commonly languages in Eastlando. This gives it a wide range of audience. It can play anywhere. King Kaka is always doing good in his work. I give this song a rating of 9/10.

Njia; King Kaka at it again this time ft Bridget Blue

King Kaka

Njia on the waves. This song is the work of Kaka Empire ft Bridget Blue. It is a gospel song asking God to provide a way. The voices are calling on all to listen to the jam. King Kaka is always great and for sure he is a king. Bridget’s voice fits in well in the song. I can’t have enough of “Njia”. It is part of King Kaka’s album, Eastlando Royalty which he launched last year.

Bridget Blue

Njia is well scripted and the message is so deep. The rap in the song by King Kaka is just amazing. When he is talking about the pain his mum is going through and asking to have a conversation with God. Njia is just great. “Nimegrow empty of late Na my soul ni see through My mum is still sick ikifika usiku Four niko by my bed side just in case Na honestly na miss our happy days You are a fighter mum, manze God akubless”. There is love and trust in God for the mum. The song shows that we are not alone in our troubles and that God is there for us and we should seek answers from Him.

Looking at some of the lyrics; “Nipe jibu kama Baba unanisikia Na kama unanisikia Nionyeshe ile njia nitapitia Nipe jibu kama Baba unanisikia Na kama unanisikia Nionyeshe ile njia nitapitia”. The title of the song is clear and in this verse they are asking God to answer them and give them the way.

Also the production is excellent. The costumes and make up bring out the mood of the song. The video was directed by Trued Pictures.

I give the song a rating of 10/10. Wow this is some great work. Kenyans artists are doing it. I would listen to this song over and over again.

5 impossible music collabos we’d love to see before 2019 ends

A few days ago, Octopizzo revealed that he was willing to work with nemesis Khaligraph Jones if the song would line his pockets. Although the chances of this happening are close to zero, it got me thinking about other impossible collabos that we’d love to see.

You see, the essence of doing in a collabo is to grow an artist’s fanbase. For instance, Khaligraph’s fans would get to know about Octopizzo or appreciate his music and vice versa if the two artists ever do a collabo.

There’s also the obvious fact that two or more music greats are bound to create something magical if they ever work on a song together.

That being said, here’s our wish list of collabos:

1. Nyashinki and Otile Brown – After listening to Nyashinki and Juma Jux on Incase You Don’t Know, I couldn’t help but imagine what a Nyashinki and Otile Brown collabo would sound like. We are really looking forward to the day when they’ll give us a treat.

Nyashinki and Otile Brown

2. Arrow Bwoy and Vivian – This collabo should have happened a long time ago. I mean why not? Vivian’s smooth vocals would really blend well with Arrow Bwoy’s seductive dancehall sound. Get into studio guys!

Vivian and Arrow Bwoy

3. Sauti Sol and King Kaka – They may not see eye to eye but I’m sure you also get the feeling that a song by these great musicians would be nothing but pure bliss. You remember Sauti Sol’s collabo with Khaligraph dubbed Rewind? Think along those lines and then add King Kaka’s storytelling skills.

Sauti Sol and King Kaka

4. Nadia Mukami and Naiboi – I live for the day these two musicians will release a song together. Thinking about it just gives me goosebumps. If a collabo between Naiboi and Nadia comes to pass, it will be the biggest song in 2019. You want to bet?

Nadia Mukami & Naiboi

5. Masauti and Steph Kapela – Nothing beats a bongo-infused rap song. Absolutely nothing. It’s for this reason that I feel Masauti should do his next collabo with one of Kenya’s best emcees – Steph Kapela. What I love about Steph Kapela is that he is versatile, he could end up singing if they ever do a collabo.

Artist Spotlight: Mbithi, a musician who’s way ahead of his time

If at all there’s a versatile musician in Kenya, then it has to be Mbithi the Kamba boy.

The first time I listened to any of his songs was in August 2018 when the deejay at my local pub decided to cue up Msichana Mmoja, a song he had done with K3hmboi, on his fire playlist.

Pass my greetings to DJ Bash please.

I remember being hooked to the song so much so that I plugged in my earphones and put it on replay on SoundCloud for the the part of the night.

And yes, what’s the point of hassling a deejay to repeat a song when you can access it?

I later came across Round 2, another collaboration he had released with King Kaka.

In this song, Mbithi delivers heavy punches in his local Kamba language.

Although I could not understand a thing, I found myself shaking my head a couple of times because of good rap flow.

When it’s good, it’s good fam!

Much later, I realized that Round 2 was much older than Msichana Mmoja and wondered for a bit where I had been all my life.

After listening to other songs by him, including his latest release with Charisma dubbed Unavyonipendait has become even more evident that the new kid on the block is not here to play.

Watch out for Mbithi, an artist whom you’ll find singing today and rapping tomorrow.

Veteran rapper Chiwawa narrates how he now draws inspiration from King Kaka who used to be his errand boy

We have seen it in politics how errand boys turned out to be more successful than their former masters – a case of DP William Ruto and former Lugari MP Cyrus Jirongo. The same is also true of King Kaka and Chiwawa.

Chiwawa met King Kaka back in 2007, the former was a well established rapper while the latter was only a nobody with big dreams.

“The first time I met him… he was just a skinny boy who looked hungry. He was calm and he knew how to engage people in a conversation. He used to tell me he was my fan, and we hit it off well since that first day,” said Chiwawa in a YouTube video.

Studio errand boy

Chiwawa took in King Kaka who served as a studio errand boy before he finally promoted him to a hype-man who engaged the audience before Chiwawa took over to perform.

“The first time I heard Rabbit rap was when we were in Kisumu at a friend’s house and he asked if I wanted to hear him rap. After he did, I told him he no longer had to be a hype-man… that he needed his own shows,” said Chiwawa.

The veteran rapper now draws inspiration from his former errand boy who is doing so well in the industry. Watch the video below:

“Artistes don’t have to change sound to fit in world’s playlist” King Kaka speaks after his song is played during NBA game in US

King Kaka received a major boost in his career after his hit song ‘Dundaing’ was played in the US at the NBA game between Dallas Mavericks and Portland Trail Blazers.

The amazing feat came just a few days after King Kaka launched his fifth album ‘Eastlando Royalty’ at Uhuru Garden. The new album has 18 songs and also features celebrated American rapper Talib Kweli and comedian Tracy Morgan.

Everything is possible

King Kaka advised fellow artistes after his song was played at the NBA game between Dallas Mavericks and Portland Trail Blazers.

He said that his achievement shows that artistes don’t don’t have to change their sound or style to fit in the world’s playlist catalogue.

“It shows that everything is possible and artistes don’t have to change their sound to fit in the world’s playlist catalogue. I kept it real when writing the song, and so it is a big win to me. This music is global and I did not have to change my style to fit in that American audience. The song ‘Dundaing’ is doing good and the fact that it was played in US at the NBA means a plus to Kenyan music industry,” said King Kaka during an interview with Word Is.

“You’re nothing but a sore loser, a wasted sperm” King Kaka’s fiancée Nana Owiti fires at Nyakundi

King Kaka proposed to his longtime sweetheart and baby mama Nana Owiti during the launch of his fifth album ‘Eastlando Royalty’ at Uhuru Gardens on Friday November 30th.

Blogger Cyprian Nyakundi was quick to condemn King Kaka for disappointing the boy child by kneeling while proposing to Nana.

Also read: Nyakundi to King Kaka after proposing: Boy child can’t kneel for a woman. You are weak

Nyakundi’s gibe to King Kaka opened the floodgate of insults from his fans, some even DM Nana condemning her for flaunting engagement ring yet she had been staying with the rapper and even have two children together.

Nana responds

King Kaka’s fiancée savagely hit back at Nyakundi and his boy child brigade in a lengthy post on social media. She stressed that King Kaka’s commitment to her far exceeded the value of the piece of metal on her finger.

I said Yes! Wait.. I said Yes a loooong ass time ago. I’m so happy and 8yrs on still in love with my man. Now,I need to rant….I was gonna let this one slide because that’s what I normally do. I hardly ever read comments but some people took it upon themselves to send me screenshots of what people are saying. I realized there are some people who will always have shit to say no matter what you do. Nothing is ever good enough for them.Seriously though, what is wrong with some people? If truly you are happy in life and are making all the right moves, then why should my engagement bother you? Si wewe basi you’ve done everything by the book, why should my life and the way I’ve chosen to live it bother you?I also realized that men are the majority ones in making nasty comments. You are 34 years old, living in your stuffy bedsitter, perusing the internet for cheap porn, instisting to DM girls who never respond to you. Sasa because you have no way of releasing your **** you decide to release your bile on me na hata sikujui?? My brother… You’re nothing but a sore loser, a wasted sperm whose purpose in life is to pick your nose while waiting to win sportpesa… Kijana, are the witches in your village fanning themselves with your picture? Men your age are sealing deals, signing contracts, building empires, providing for their families, wewe tu uko hapa na machungu za maisha ukihangaika kulipa Deni za tala na timiza. And then you have the audacity to dictate how my body should look like,if your mother looks like Jlo after giving birth to you then you can talk, but if not… Keep your ideals to yourself. So you who were born after your parents were married, how is life taking you so far? Have you gotten a promotion ama haulipi tax? Umepunguziwa rent au matatu ban haijakupata huwa unabebwa na chopper Hadi CBD?? Life is not a competition. There are no awards for “married after campus and kids followed after. Marriage is not the ultimate level of a relationship, commitment is. And a relationship is not measured by a piece of paper or a ring. King shows his commitment to me and our family in meaningful ways that far exceed a band of metal around a finger..”,

King Kaka offers advice to Otile Brown after Vera Sidika destroyed his ego

Otile Brown was recently exposed by Vera Sidika as an under-performer in the bedroom. The bootyful socialite publicly announced that the singer was poor in bed and that he never satisfied her for the duration they dated.

Vera took to social media to share screenshots of her WhatsApp conversation with Otile Brown to prove that they had issues with their sex life.

In the screenshots, Otile was complaining about Vera touching herself even when he was with her, but the socialite explains that she resorted to pleasuring herself since he couldn’t satisfy her. She also announced that Otile has a small member.

Focus on your music

King Kaka has since stepped forth offer Otile some advice after Vera nuked his ego. Speaking during an interview with Mzazi Willy M Tuva on Citizen Radio, King Kaka says Otile should focus on his music and forget about the whole drama.

So far Otile has acted so maturely, he hasn’t responded to Vera’s gibberish. King Kaka, who was recently in the US, says he only shared the advice with Otile because he thought it was more relevant to him having being advised the same by American actor/comedian Tracy Morgan.

Kama mungu alikubless na mziki wengi wanatamani kuimba. You are in a position of power, tumia vizuri, una influence society uko na power sana, kama mungu amekubariki itumie vizuri. Do your music go back to your family,” said King kaka when Mzazi Tuva asked him what he could tell Otile.

King Kaka confronted Classic FM presenter Maina Kageni over his obsession with Wasafi Record’s songs. The rapper says Maina prefers Wasafi music over others.

Maina and King Kaka met at Acacia Premier Hotel in Kisumu and they made jokes about music industry. King Kaka however teased Maina for giving Wasafi’s songs too much airplay.

The rapper said Maina loves Wasafi songs so much that he even starts his own show on Classic FM with Wasafi music tag line ‘ayo lizer’ (The tag line is usually used by Wasafi musicians in praise of Lizer Classic who is a producer at WCB).

Signed by Wasafi

King Kaka also joked that Maina has been signed by Wasafi Record, he revealed that the Classic 106 presenter goes by the stage names of Kagens or Kagengs.

“He has touched me” King Kaka wowed by fast rising gospel singer Guardian Angel, hints Bahati and Willy Paul should emulate him

Many people have complained about the songs Bahati and Willy Paul release which they claim to be gospel songs while in reality they sound more secular.

King Kaka is among Kenyans who believe most gospel songs lack spiritual touch, but he believes there is hope because of one gospel singer – Guardian Angel who is doing things differently.

King Kaka was blown away by Guardian Angel’s new song ‘Utafurahi’. He took to social media to express warm approval for the fast rising gospel singer whom he says he touched him.

Jimwat fires at King Kaka yet again: He’s not a king, Juacali is the true King of Kenyan music

Rapper Jimwat, during the 10 over 10 show on Citizen TV, attacked fellow rapper King Kaka for opening up about being rejected by the Cali Records stable after he asked for a collabo.

King Kaka, in his song Mistarillionaire, said that he wanted a collabo from the once popular Calif Records rapper Jimwat — or any person from the label, but they all turned him down.

“Jimwat alininyima collabo, Mejja pia na Jua,” rapped King Kaka in the song.

You’re no King

After releasing a diss track that flopped, Jimwat has yet again sent another missile saying that King Kaka shouldn’t have gone public with the information. He also wanted Kaka to know that he’s nothing close to a king and, if Kenyans wanted to know who’s the true king of Kenyan music, they should consider checking Juacali’s decorated portfolio.

King Kaka

Here is what he said:

“Hakuna king huwa anaji-crown; kings huwa wanakuwa crowned na wadhii. Ni sawa nilikunyima collabo, lakini si lazima utangaze. Yafaa ucheze chini. Kama ni kubishana ni nani king, tunajua kuwa Juacali ni Baba yao. Mimi ni prince (There is no king who crowns himself. All kings ascend to such a powerful position as a result of people’s endorsement and blessings.

He went on:

“It is true I denied you (King Kaka) a collabo, but you shouldn’t have gone public with such information. You ought to have approached me so that we address the issue at a personal level. And if a debate arises on who is king of Kenyan music, then I think Juacali deserves that title, with me as his prince,” said Jimwat.

However before announcing the birth of their boy, the couple choose to keep the news about their second born on the low until a month ago when Nana gave birth.

Unlike before – this time around the rapper’s wife  opted not to share photos of her baby bump but now that the baby is here, she has been uploading photos from her achieves to show fans how her journey was.

On her latest photo, she revealed that she had been hitting the gym until a few days to welcoming her baby. Nana also happened to share a never before seen photo flaunting her bare bump which looked like it would pop anytime!

Anyway below is the photo of the rapper’s wife glowing a few days before welcoming her baby.

King Kaka: Tuwache ufala, is this the independence we fought for?

King Kaka says recent unfolding of events in Kenya is making independence heroes like Bildad Kaggia to turn in their graves.

A few days ago Octopizzo asked fellow musicians to stand up against brutal police killings and politically motivated violence. Incidences of police killings and harassment have been reported in Nyanza, Bungoma and Nairobi.

Politically motivated violence saw several people lose their lives in Kawangware on Saturday. Rival tribal gangs attacked each other leading to deaths and property destruction.

King Kaka heeds Octopizzo’s call

King Kaka has since voiced his support for the cessation of all hostilities and violence. The rapper says Kenyans should sober up and steer clear of any action that could jeopardize our peace and stability.

“Nimekuwa nikikuomba chumvi for years na leo politician anatuambia Ati we are not friends na you pick up your stone or panga. Tuwache ufala!!!! Hao watu they don’t care,” wrote King Kaka.

The rapper has also dropped a new song that sensitizes Kenyans on the need for peace in the country. Listen to the audio below:

‘With that five shillings she managed to take three boys to school’ King Kaka reveals the type of job his mum did to raise her boys

Rapper King Kaka must be happy to have come this far since he did not have much while growing up. Like most celebrities in the country he had a humble background and is not afraid to say it!

The rapper who is now a family man has always been confident about his life and has learnt to appreciate the humble life as it helped him become the man he is today.

Through his social media pages the father of three shared a video talking about how his mother worked as a fruit vender and why she taught them the value of five shillings. He wrote saying;

Growing up my mother taught me the art of five shillings. She used to sell fruits and with that five shillings she managed to take three boys to school. And when i got into the business world getting capital was a major problem.

It is sad to see our own artists exchanging nasty words on social media. Instead of supporting each other like how the Tanzanians are doing…our own are busy exchanging bitter words online.

A few weeks ago King Kaka came out to say that Sauti Sol had not done much to help upcoming artists in the country (something that many agree with).

However this was not received well by the Sauti Sol members who recently called for a press conference to address King Kaka’s claims. Well, Bien went ahead to say that Avril and Timmy Tdat are too good to be signed under King Kaka creating bad blood between him and King Kaka’s fans.

Anyway the rapper has come out to end the beef in a video he shared on Twitter. While addressing the issue he went ahead to say;

“Sauti sol I am just being a man here, if I have wronged you, I have seen you have insulted me so much I’m very sorry. Telling fans to go and check out the beef won’t help anything. Fans what you should do is go to MTV Awards and vote for Nyashinski. This beef is unhealthy. I have not been on the internet for a while, so I checked in yesterday and found out that Sauti Sol had called for a press conference and the content of the press was to insult me. When you watch the two interviews, you will find out that what I said is purely true. It very sad that were are at time when we are insulting each other instead of supporting each other”

He went on to add…

“Kaka Empire has provided employment to a number Kenyans, and when someone starts to shot down my efforts is not good. You telling young Kenyans it’s bad to come up with new ideas, Kaka Empire was a vision one day and now it’s working. Let’s not have this meaningless beef”

“I wouldn’t agree with King Kaka sentiments” Wyre weighs in on Sauti Sol’s beef with King Kaka

King Kaka and Sauti Sol have been throwing words at each other since early September when the rapper first took a swipe at the quartet and other top musicians.

Speaking in an interview with Radio Maisha to promote his new song ‘Run Ting’ with Fena Gitu, King Kaka sensationally claimed the likes of Nameless, Redsan and Sauti Sol hadn’t done enough to push for the growth of Kenya’s music industry.

Sauti Sol and King Kaka have seen been embroiled in a beef while Redsan and Nameless chose to ignore the attention seeking rapper.

Wyre has now put in his two cents on King Kaka’s beef with Sauti Sol. The veteran dancehall singer openly disagreed with King Kaka explaining that it was an individual choice for veteran artistes to support budding musicians.

Sauti Sol

“I wouldn’t agree with King Kaka sentiments. A veteran artiste helping other artistes is an individual choice to make. If one feels he or she is in a position to help then its cool and if an individual feels not to, then there is no problem with that. This is because its a very very expensive venture, it needs a lot of money and requires time and patients. You have to pay for their videos, audios, song writing and stuffs that comes with that line. And where does all that money come from? Its even harder when yourself you are an artiste because you also need to invest in your work as well as those under you,” said Wyre.
