Yet another top NTV news anchor ditches the station, headed to Citizen TV to replace Swaleh Mdoe

Just days after Nation Media Group boss Linus Kaikai handed his resignation letter, another employee in management is following him at Royal media Services.

According to sources, Jamila Mohammed is officially the latest top management employee to call it quits at NTV, following a stream of other journalists who have ditched the station.

One of the oldest employees at Nation

The popular Swahili news anchor  joined the station in 2002 and she was one of the longest serving journalist in the media company. Her former boss Kaikai left barely a fortnight before her leaving many asking what’s really going on at Nation.

Jamila was appointed Managing Editor of QTV Kenya in 2015 and was also currently the Manager of Programming and Content Development at NTV Kenya before her exit.

She’s set to replace Swaleh Mdoe at Citizen TV as managing editor for Swahili services for both the TV and radio( Radio Citizen). Mdoe, who is swimming in huge debt that has made him make to the headlines,  has been demoted because of poor work ethics according to inside sources.

Shock on former NTV boss Linus Kaikai as government allegedly blocks him from getting a new job

Former Nation Media Group General Manager Linus Kaikai will have to wait a bit longer to get a new job after resigning.

Word has it that the government has blocked his new appointment as the Chief Operations Officer at Royal Media Services fearing that he might cause more havoc after getting an even more influential position.

Not getting the job

According to Business Today who broke the story, Kaikai’s appointment has been shelved after The State found cleaver ways to stop the appointment.

“State House was furious that Kaikai was getting even a more influential position in a big media house even after he took part in what was clearly a treasonable affair. But they knew SK Macharia would be difficult to convince following the shutdown of Citizen TV and Inooro TV that saw him move to court seeking compensation. So they devised a way of convincing his wife who as vice chair runs the media house’s day to day affairs,” a source who chose not to be named told BT.

It’s also alleged that, State House had a hand in Kaikai’s exit from NMG, after he failed to obey orders not to live stream Raila’s mock inauguration.

Inside the multi-million home of NTV’s Managing Editor Linus Kaikai…just how much money does he make?

Linus Kaikai always tends to keep a low profile from the internet and it’s pretty clear we know why….he’s busy savouring all his amassed wealth.

I mean the guy is at the helm of one of the biggest and most established media houses in Kenya managing a horde of astute TV reporters and anchors. And besides that, he’s also a great debater, moderator and to be quite honest the best interviewer we have in Kenyan TV.

And with that you expect the guy to live small? Nooo…he’s a great asset and I bet the company understands that so they take good care of him.

And with that he can afford membership at the prestigious Muthaiga Golf Club and to live in this palatial home which is located somewhere in the confines of Rongai.

And for the first time, Linus Kaikai’s home and son:
