The song titled El Shaddai, which is from their recently released album Made In The Streets, talks about how God is great and his unconditional love.

I really love this song. As it begins, there’s a background vocalist who is belting out a deep bass that I can’t really get enough of.

But that’s not all. The fact that H_art The Band, which comprises of; Kenneth Muya, Wachira Gatama and Mordecai Kimeu released a gospel song is so mind-blowing.

The hook is simple, it goes like, “El Shaddai, uko na kile mi nadai, ulinipenda hata kama mi sifai, (El Shaddai*3), uko na kile mi nadai, ulinipenda hata kama mi sifai  El Shaddai El Shaddai

Of course, apart from the dope background vocalists, the Masheesha hitmakers also nailed it on this song, especially Mordecai, there is just something about his tenor that makes it awesome to listen to. It’s just unique in its own way.

The other thing that struck me was the instrumentation. Everything is so well arranged that you just want to listen to the song over and over. Props to Cedo.

I honestly can’t wait to review more songs from Hart The Band’s latest album because from the look of things, it’s too lit.

The song titled Lover Lover, which is from their debut album Made In The Streets, is one song that will make you hit the replay button a couple of times.

As the title suggests, this song is about a feeling of strong or constant affection for a person. More often than not, you don’t have have to say it because they can feel it.

If you are a fan of both Bensoul and H_art The Band then I am sure you’ve been looking forward to the day they treat us with a collabo. Well, that day is finally here.

The word that aptly describes this song is magical. This song is really a vibe. I played it a couple of times and I’m still in love with it.

H_art The Band members namely; Mordecai Kimeu, Kenneth Muya and Wachira Gatama came through on this jam. To be honest, I wasn’t expecting anything less from them.

However, I must say that of the trio, I think Mordecai totally killed it. There is just something unique about his tenor that makes it awesome to listen to.

Bensoul also nailed it. From the way he sings in this jam, anyone can easily tell that this jam has a deeper meaning to him, maybe just maybe, he had a particular person in mind when he was penning his verse. Sorry ladies.

The beat and instrumetalization for this jam is also dope. Although this is not the kind of jams that you would expect people to dance to, I would not be surprised if I saw someone busting a move to it. Props to the producer.

I honestly can’t wait to listen to and review more songs from Hart The Band’s debut album because from the look of things, it’s totally out of this world.

H_art The Band makes good music but no one cares

There very few people who make good music in Kenya and when I say good I mean the kind that you would be totally comfortable listening to or watching with your an elder person, say your parents.

H_art The Band, a group that is made up of Kenneth Muya, Wachira Gatama and Mordecai Kimeu, falls in this category. Their songs are not only enjoyable, they also reasonate with people across all ages – whether young or old.

However, for one reason or the other, I feel like they are really underrated and unappreciated. If you ask anyone which songs by H_art The Band they know, most people will just mention Uliza Kiatu which was released 5 years ago so.

The all-boy band has released so many songs after Uliza Kiatu – the song that thrust them into the limelight. Some of them are; Rosella, Love Phobic, Baby Love, Nikikutazama, Masheesha, Adabu, just to name a few.

Do you know any of the aforementioned songs? Well, you might also not know is that they recently released a new album dubbed Made In The Streets. Were you aware of this? I guess not.

I had a chance to listen to the 13-track album and I can tell you that it’s a masterpiece. I’m not even exaggerating. I will definitely review it one these fine days to get some of you to appreciate their craft.
