Marya is the sad truth of what happens to women who only rely on their beauty

Marya was outted by Edgar Obare who was given the tea and receipts to back up an allegation that stated she was working as a commercial sex worker at a brothel and this expose has haunted her ever since it came out that this was the line of work she had settled on to help her take care of her son after the man who impregnated her, a guy called Kevo dipped.

Naturally, this entire saga has infuriated a lot of women who are livid at Edgar for simply doing his job. The likes of Eve Mungai who had gotten the exclusive interview with Marya went at the blogger for being such a meanie and hurting Marya’s fee-fees.

But we aren’t here to discuss the manner in which certain females have reacted (femme uber alles) but rather how Marya got to this position in life and the lessons other female celebs should learn from it.

Weuh! Former singer Marya claps back at fan who body shamed her over this photo

For starters, she is harvesting the wind she sowed. She was never a particularly hardworking singer even when she actively sang. She was lazy. And she always pretty much relied on her good looks and the fact that men simped over her.

And Marya lapped it up. That is why while she became a passing cloud, her contemporaries such as Avril and Size 8 are still relevant. That is why they had doors opened for them. That is why no one reached out to Marya to try and get her back in the entertainment scene.

As a result of her getting accustomed to simps throwing money at her to try and seduce her, she began choosing men who were garbage simply because they would spoil her. That is how she ended up with Kevo. That is why she ended up giving him a child without realising he was not the type of man she should have hitched her wagon to. She chose poorly and is responsible for how things ended.

And because she didn’t have any networks to rely on, when things went awry for her, she could only rely on the one asset she had to make money; her body. We get it though, she did it inorder to be able to feed and provide for her family… Blah blah blah… But we aren’t here to judge, either way, simply speak the truth of Marya’s situation. The problem with that once her story was revealed, absolutely no one would want to be associated with her which would only serve to drive her deeper into the chasm that precipitated her decision to become a prostitute.

Marya needs to do some serious soul searching and stop blaming her exes

And this is a lesson for female celebrities such as Tanasha Donna, Nadia Mukami and Phieso. Yes, selling sex is a great strategy -but only when it is backed up by hard work. Nadia Mukami is doing it well enough. She really used to sell her sensuality but she would always put out music. The other two should really be watching the Marya situation to learn from it.

You cannot rely on your baby daddy or your men to provide for you. When that gravy train ends, you will be faced with difficult decisions to make inorder to make money. Because beauty doesn’t last and especially for women, it runs out in your 30s. Put some thought into how you will provide for yourself and your offspring once men have long stopped simping on you. But what do I know?

Marya Is Rebranding And Its Hilarious

Marya has decided to rebrand and we have to give Edgar Obare his props because clearly when he does an expose, the city, nay, the nation actually sits up and pays attention to what he has shared.

Weuh! Former singer Marya claps back at fan who body shamed her over this photo

A couple of weeks back, he had a rather scintillating expose of the former singer in which he revealed her alleged involvement in sex work as a practitioner… Basically, go and ask someone to explain that one if you haven’t understood what I was saying.

So Marya is back on the centre stage but working in an industry no one wants to be associated with. Oh, the irony! And she was allegedly very proactive in sex work, constantly communicating and enticing clients; potential and realized.

Edgar Obare’s expose was damaging! Whoo! It had videos and photos that he selfishly decided to censor. However, we, the public got to find out which brothel Marya was working at as well as even get treated to an audio of her advertising her services with a child being heard in the not so distant background… And boy did this expose split public opinion.

Some feminists were offended (seems like they are offended at anything and nothing simultaneously) while others were simply shocked. After all, sex work is an affront to most people’s moral sensibilities.

But when everything was said and done, Marya was left on her lonesome to pick up the pieces of her life. And the way she is going about it is something I find hilarious. She deleted all the photos on her social media account (IG) on which she has 29,000 followers and has started posting photos of food.

Marya

Yup, she has gone from umalaya to food pron. Nice.

One has to wonder whether there is an endgame in mind or whether she is simply trying to cast the illusion that she is a family-oriented woman because at the end of the day, nothing says home like good food. What is going on in Marya’s mind?

She has also announced that she to will be monetizing her audience by turning her IG stories into an advertising board for entrepreneurs. If this is the case, I would advise her to go all out and only feature instruments of her work and self-pleasure. Take advantage of what is already swirling around in a lot of Kenyans’ heads about who she is.

Marya needs to do some serious soul searching and stop blaming her exes

Marya got dumped again. And once again, it was in so spectacular a fashion and she was the one left heart broken. You see, most guys only really remember her relationship with Colonel Moustapha before this one but in truth, she also had a relationship with some anonymous man who lived in Spring Valley-Kyuna who took their breakup to Twitter for the masses to read about.

That tidbit of information about Marya comes from one of my mentors and good friends who was a blogger back in his heyday. He told me that back in 2012, Marya and her then guy took to Twitter to reveal to kenyans that not only had they called it quits, he had gone asfar as to kick her out of his home and hearth and she was back in the market.

Colonel Moustapha was the first public relationship and breakup Marya had, then the guy from Kyuna and now, we have Kevin. Not much is known about this guy but there are rumours that for a while, he worked in Dubai where he rose to mid-level management in one of the Middle East’s teleco.s and as a result, he made a healthy living for himself. But that is not all we know about him because even the start of their relationship was a controversial one.

“Yes I was depressed in my marriage” ‘Chokoza’ hitmaker confesses after walking out on baby daddy

You see, Kevo (as he is better known) was Saumu Mbuvi’s uncle at one point. Yup, he was dating (longterm to the point of possibly being common-law married) to an aunt of Saumu Mbuvi’s. So when word went round that he was now with Marya, Kenyans were scandalized. Cue the popular refrain of “Mtaachana tu” and the salty Sallys who were eagerly awaiting the schadenfreude they would enjoy once their dark prophecy came to pass.

Marya and Kevo

Marya and kevo naturally paid them no mind and would flaunt their happy moments on social media. They were an “IT” couple and soon enough, they welcomed a baby together. This love-child too was a common feature in both their social media accounts with both celebrating their son although he were the only child the world was destined to see for over a century. This only served to further enrage the not-so-silent supporters of Saumu Mbuvi and her aunty who only intensified the stink-eye they were shooting at the couple.

Now all that has come undone and colonel Moustapha’s ex is crying for the world to know. She is claiming that her man, Kevo is a deadbeat father and an even worse partner. Who would have thunk it? Who could possibly have warned Marya that the manner in which her relationship started would foreshadow the manner in which it would end? And now all those angry Annies are now getting their seven chuckles in. And it is well deserved.
What is truly surprising is the fact that Marya has no introspection, at least not adequate enough for her to see her role in all this. You see, Marya chose these men. Each man she ended up dating were her choice. So if there is an issue with them, then it is an issue with her decision making skills. They suck.

Briffault’s law.
