Wema Sepetu broke up with Diamond in late 2014 but their feelings for each other didn’t quite fade away, the two ex lovers always flirt with each other whenever they meet sparking reunion rumors every time.
This year Wema and Diamond seem to be even much closer, work has brought them together as Diamond offered his ex a job at Wasafi.

Wema Sepetu’s mother Miriam Sepetu explained why her daughter won’t get back together with Diamond in an interview with Amani newspaper.
Miriam says that she knows her daughter all too well and that she is sure she will never get back with Diamond since now they only have a platonic relationship.
“Wema na Diamond kwa sasa wamebaki kuwa marafiki tu. Haiwezi kutokea tena wakarudiana. Mimi ndiyo namjua Wema vizuri, ana moyo wa aina yake ndiyo maana unaona pamoja na kuwa wameshaachana lakini bado wanakuwa karibu, wanashirikishana mambo yao kiroho safi. Wema ana maisha yake sasa hivi, Diamond ana yake, kamwe hawawezi tena kurudiana,” said Miriam Sepetu.
Wema Sepetu has been battling in court to prove her innocence ever since she was arrested on February 4th 2017 in a police drug sweep. The former Tanzanian beauty queen was found in possession of marijuana in her house.
Wema spent close to a week in police custody before she was finally presented in court. She was charged with being in possession of 1.80 grams of marijuana.
Wema’s case has been dragging in court for a year now. She was supposed to appear in court on Tuesday May 29th 2018 for the hearing of her case, but she was not there.
Traveled to India
Wema’s mother Miriam Sepetu represented her daughter in court on Tuesday. She told Kisutu resident magistrate Thomas Simba that her daughter had traveled to India for an emergency surgery. This after government prosecutor Constantine Kakula sought to inquire why Wema had not appeared in court.

The prosecutor was shocked by the report from Miriam Sepetu, he argued there was no evidence to prove that the defendant was sick.
Miriam produced documents to prove her daughter had indeed traveled to India for surgery. She however didn’t disclose the condition Wema Sepetu was suffering from.
Love sometimes makes us do stupid things, I bet we can all agree about this. And for this same reason, we now understand why Wema Sepetu’s mother disliked Diamond Platnumz for wooing her daughter.

Apparently Wema left United States where she had relocated to stay with her older sister, only to come back to Tanzania just to meet a man (Diamond) she had met on Facebook.
“When she discovered the reason for my return, she grounded me; she was worried about me spending time with him. She didn’t like him.”

Wema Sepetu goes on to add that the only way she would hangout with Diamond Platnumz is when she finds an excuse or rather has to lie to avoid upsetting her mother since she knew how much she disliked Chibu.
The actress says that it got to a point where she left with no choice but to keep her relationship on the low. Wema says once lied to her mum that she was travelling to Zimbabwe for a charity project… just to spend time with her new man at their secret hideout place, however after she was spotted by the media hanging out with Diamond in a bus her mum finally realized her daughter had been lying to her.
“My mum was furious because I was supposed to be in Zimbabwe and not with Diamond. And since my phone my phone was switched off, she managed to get his number and call him. She gave him a piece of her mind and told him that she wanted nothing to do with him, but I was young and in love and didn’t care.” She said.
Anyway having dated for 4 years, Miriam Sepetu had no choice but to accept her daughter’s relationship but towards the end of 2014 things completely changed between Wema Sepetu and Diamond after Zari now came to the picture.
