“I take him home when he’s drunk” Babu Owino reveals how Kenyans got it all wrong on his relationship with Moses Kuria

To the public Moses Kuria and Babu Owino are sworn enemies. But do you really know the two firebrand politicians are actually buddies behind the scene?

There are only two tribes in Kenya, the rich and the poor. The idea of Luo and Kikuyu politicians hating each other is only a facade. Politicians only clash because of conflicting interests and not because they hate each other based on their ethnicity.

Babu Owino

Babu Owino and Moses Kuria throw unpalatable words at each other in public but interestingly they rub shoulders behind the scene.

“At times I find Kuria in a bar very drank and asleep. I am the one who carries him and takes him to his house in Westlands. If I am lying let him deny it in public,” said Babu Owino during an interview with NASA TV on Monday.

Hate mongers!
Moses Kuria

Babu Owino urged fellow politicians to stop inflicting negative ethnicity into the minds of their followers. He admits politicians are to be blamed for fanning tribal tensions.

“We as politicians don’t hate each other that much. After arguing in Parliament, when we come out we still shake hands, talk and laugh. The problem with us is we inflict negative ethnicity in the minds of our people so that people can fight. It shouldn’t be like that.”

Moses Kuria warns Waititu against threatening Luo MCA elected in Kiambu County

Controversial governor Ferdinand Waititu caused a stir when he publicly warned Kiambu residents against electing non-Kikuyus again.

Waititu’s words come after he clashed with Kahawa Wendani MCA Cyrus Omondi. Cyrus opposed the governor’s decision to demolish kiosks set up near a public toilet.

Waititu asked Kiambu people not to vote for non-locals in his county after the clash with Kahawa Wendani MCA. He said that was a mistake that should never be repeated again.

Kahawa Wendani MCA Cyrus Omondi
In defense of Omondi

Moses Kuria surprisingly defended Cyrus Omondi against Waititu’s tribal remarks. Kuria is known for hurling tribal insults, no one expected him to stand up against tribalism.

“The people of Kahawa Wendani found it fit to elect Omondi as their ward representative, they should not be blamed for exercising their constitutional right,” said Moses Kuria.

Nominated senator Isaac Mwaura also condemned Waititu’s remarks:

“I want to condemn Waititu’s statement that Kiambu residents should not vote for outsiders. I want to remind him that he came to Kiambu from Nairobi and our people elected him,” said Isaac Mwaura.

Is he rekindling his old flame? Moses Kuria causes a stir as he refers Charity Ngilu as his ex

Moses Kuria excited netizens when he referred Kitui Governor Charity Ngilu as his ex. The controversial lawmaker made the remark after being moved by Ngilu’s speech.

Moses Kuria implies Charity Ngilu and him were lovers at one point. The Gatundu South MP made netizens think in that direction thanks to his caption.

Kuria posted an audio of Charity Ngilu speaking in Kamba on Facebook. He captioned the video “Love speech by Charity Ngilu. What happened to this ex of mine?”

Ngilu’s speech

The Kitui Governor was addressing her constituents following an attack by Somali. Ngilu was heard saying that she will train the Kamba people how to use bows and arrows to protect themselves against bandit attacks.

Kuria was moved by Ngilu’s speech and he ended up ‘confessing’. Netizens were quick to ask the MP to expound on what he meant saying that Ngilu was his ex.

“Help me raise money to pay Martha Karua” Moses Kuria sends a humble plea to Kenyans

Moses Kuria has been forced by the court to pay Martha Karua millions of shillings. The Gatundu South MP defamed the Narc Kenya party leader and the court made him pay for it.

Moses Kuria sensationally claimed Martha Karua procured witnesses in the case against Deputy President William Ruto at The Hague. The controversial MP said this during a rally in Kapsokwony, Bungoma County on September 21, 2015

Karua through her lawyer Gitobu Imanyara issued a demand letter asking Moses Kuria to withdraw the remarks and apologize.

The stubborn Gatundu South MP made the same remarks at the precincts of parliament instead of apologizing. Kuria’s rudeness would later cost him 6.5 million.

Marth Karua had asked for Kes 20 million in compensation but Justice Joseph Sergon said Kes 6.5 million was sufficient.

Harambees

Moses Kuria

Moses Kuria is now asking his fans to help him raise Kes 6.5 million to pay Martha Karua. The Gatundu South MP reveals that he will be holding a series of harambees to raise the amount.

“Today I was instructed by the court to pay child support amounting to Ksh 6.5 Million. I will be holding a series of Harambees accross the country so that you, my supporters can help me. The first Harambee will be held at Kerugoya stadium in the next few weeks. The date will be announced here soon,” wrote Moses Kuria on Facebook.

“Don’t pay us our November salaries” Moses Kuria adamant he won’t take his salary come end month

Moses Kuria says he won’t take his November salary if he’s paid. The Gatundu South lawmaker wants fellow MPs to also go without their salaries for November.

It’s unlikely that legislators will support Kuria’s call to go without their November salaries. Kenyan lawmakers are among the greediest in the world.

Kuria blames Nasa MPs

Moses Kuria

Kuria says parliament will go on recess again until 29th November. He explains that the August House is barely functional because Nasa-allied MPs were absconding parliamentary sessions.

“Parliament went on recess again today till 29th November as NASA is yet to send its representatives to House Committees. The National Government Constituency Development Fund (NG-CDF) committees are not in place as a result,” Moses Kuria wrote on Facebook on Wednesday November 8th.

No work no salary

The Gatundu South MP says lawmakers shouldn’t be paid their November salaries since they won’t be working for nearly the whole of November. Kuria calls upon National Assembly Speaker Justin Muturi to make sure MPs are not paid November salaries.

“The logical and moral thing for the Speaker to do is NOT to pay us our November salaries. Paying us would amount to stealing from Kenyans. Why pay us when we are neither working in our constituencies nor in parliament? Why reward me simply for staying alive?”

Donald Kipkorir, Moses Kuria, Francis Ole Kaparo in Twitter spat over the demeaning of Luo Community

Flamboyant lawyer Donald Kipkorir sparked a storm with his tweet which saw Moses Kuria and Francis Ole Kaparo – the Chairperson of the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) sucked into it.

Kipkorir argued that Jubilee MPs Moses Kuria and Ngunjiri Wambugu were allowed to demean the Luo community with no action taken upon them.

“Why are MPs Ngunjiri Wambugu & Moses Kuria allowed to demean the Luo Community everyday? Isn’t it ethnic profiling for political gain?” Donald Kipkorir tweeted.

Moses Kuria quickly tweeted back asking the flamboyant lawyer to mention instances where he disrespected the Luo Community through his actions.

Kipkorir remained mum as tweeps started throwing words at Kuria reminding him how he was the lord of prejudice and bigotry. (The tweets were vary tribal thus couldn’t be shared here)

Francis Ole Kaparo was forced to defend his integrity when a tweep claimed National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) was selective in carrying out its mandate.

NCIC (through it’s official twitter handle) also tried to absolve itself from any blame as tweeps maintained that it had failed to stop perpetrator of hate and disunity.

“Moses Kuria I dare you” Babu Owino blasts Kuria over plan to place Raila under house arrest

Controversial Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has opened up about plans to have Raila Odinga placed under house arrest if he doesn’t participate in October 17th repeat election.

Nasa has maintained that they will not participate in repeat October 17 presidential election if the same people who rigged August 8th election are still in office.

Raila and other Nasa principals on Sunday 17th September told their supporters at Jacaranda Grounds that the only way they would participate in October 17th repeat election was if IEBC meets their irreducible minimum reform demands.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria revealed plan to tame Raila in the event that he doesn’t participate in October 17th repeat election. Kuria took to Facebook on September 17th 2017 to reveal that Raila will be put under house arrest just like his father.

“Jubilee #WembeNiUleUle rally at Mwiki, Kasarani today. #MbeleIkoSawa. If Raila tries to stop us from voting on 17th October, we will place him under house arrest just the way we did to Jaramogi,” Moses Kuria wrote.

Embakasi East MP Babu Owino was quick to respond to Kuria’s Facebook post, he dared him and his bosses to excute their plan.
“Moses Kuria I dare you & your bosses to place Rt Hon Raila Odinga under house arrest if you are real men,” wrote Babu Owino on Facebook.

“Kaparo cleared me” Moses Kuria reveals how he was used as ‘bait’ to have Johnstone Muthama arrested

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria and Johnstone Muthama were arrested yesterday September 11th over hate speech. Kuria has since confessed that he was arrested so that police could nab Muthama.

Moses Kuria has admitted in a video he uploaded on Facebook that he was used as a conduit to arrest former Machakos Senator Johnstone Muthama.

Speaking in his native Gikuyu language, Kuria claimed that he met the National Cohesion and Integration Commission (NCIC) chair Francis Kaparo who told him that his remarks did not amount to hate speech.

The Gatundu South lawmaker reiterated that he was used as ‘bait’ so that the police could arrest the real culprit – Johnstone Muthama.

He argued that his alleged hate speech was uttered a week ago but police only arrested him after Muthama’s utterance during a rally in Kajiado on Sunday September 10th.

Cord and Jubilee politicians including Raila and Moses Kuria rub shoulders as fate brings them together (Photos)

Raila Odinga, Moses Kuria, James Orengo, Hassan Joho,  Johnstone Muthama, Sabina Chege, Millicent Omanga shared jokes when they met today September 11th at Pangani police station.

Sometimes in June 2016, Pangani 6 (Johnston Muthama, Timothy Bosire, Junet Mohamed, Moses Kuria, Ferdinand Waititu and Kimani Ngunjiri) ‘united’ Nasa and Jubilee when they were detained for four days at the Pangani Police Station over hate speech charge.

Well fate re-united Nasa and Jubilee politicians again when Moses Kuria and Johnston Muthama were arrested for the same charge as 2016 – hate speech.

Raila Odinga and his Nasa brigade and Kuria and Jubilee allied politicians met at Pangani Police Station and guess what, there was no animosity whatsoever.

The Nasa and Jubilee politicians mingled and cracked jokes when they met. See the photos below:

“Moses Kuria is no ordinary Kenyan” Boniface Mwangi provides in-depth understanding of Gatundu South MP

Rights Activist Boniface Mwangi has the answer for those who can’t comprehend why Moses Kuria is unapologetic about his inciteful utterences.

The controversial Gatundu South MP has stepped up attacks on Raila Odinga and Kenyans from specific enthic background prompting public outcry.

Rights Activist Boniface Mwangi has since stepped forth to provide an indepth understanding of Kuria.

“Moses Kuria is no ordinary Kenyan. He is the poster boy for hate speech in Kenya. Moses Kuria comments are beyond disgusting, they’re criminal. National Cohesion and Integration Commission is useless, they have failed to nail Moses Kuria, the hate-monger,” Boniface Mwangi wrote in part.

Boniface reminded Kenyas to read an essay he wrote on August 7th 2015 which reveals why Kuria is ‘untouchable’ and why his service is highly appreciated by his party.

Read Boniface’s essay below:

“The rich man’s fart doesn’t smell. On Sunday 2nd,August 2015, Moses Kuria flew to Tanzania to watch the Gor Mahia Vs Azam game. Nothing special for a Kenyan to go watch a football match, except Moses Kuria is no ordinary Kenyan. He is the poster boy for hate speech in Kenya. His utterances have largely been against a community who arguably make up the largest percentage of Gor Mahia’s primary fans and he has two ongoing cases for hate speech. Never mind that he is a member of parliament who was elected unopposed because the president’s party wanted an attack dog against the opposition.

“Moses Kuria’s support for Gor was celebrated by the usual twitter trolls. The paid twitter brigade retweeted images of Moses wearing a Gor T-shirt. Why was there so much excitement that a hate-monger was going to watch the game? Well, he was carrying a package of Ksh 500,000 for the cash strapped football team on behalf of Deputy President Ruto. Just because messenger Moses was carrying money, his hate speech stench was ignored.

“On a daily basis Kenyans complain of corrupt politicians who steal and grab land but don’t question where the handouts politicians give us come from.

“President Obama, whose visit we celebrated and whose speeches we lauded, is not known for his philanthropy or contributions to fundraisers. He was elected by young people who donated their own money to his campaign, trusting his vision for transformation. Kenya needs leaders who will create wealth for the people and provide jobs, not handouts.

“Handouts by politicians is not leadership but a sad trickle refund of what they have stolen from the Kenyan taxpayers. We need to stop taking or celebrating these handouts. #StopTheHypocrisy”

“Why is Moses Kuria obsessed with Baba’s genitalia?” Donald Kipkorir leaves twitter in shambles with crazy jab at Kuria

Apparently Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria could be gay after all, flamboyant city lawyer Donald Kipkorir says this is the only logical thought that explains his obsession with Raila Odinga’s genitalia.

Moses Kuria has dominated talks on interwebs thanks to his scathing attacks on Raila Odinga. The Gatundu South MP has repeatedly blasted the Nasa leader for being uncercumsicised – claims he can’t substantiate.

This time round Kuria’s obsession with Raila’s genitalia has spurred speculations that he could be gay. Rich lawyer Donald Kipkorir was quick to subscribe to this school of thought after Kuria made another remark about Raila’s genitalia.

“Why is Moses Kuria obsessed with Baba’s genitalia? Does he want Baba to sleep with him? Does Moses know 80% of World pop doesn’t circumcise?” Donald Kipkorir tweeted.

Kipkorir’s tweet sparked a chain reaction on twitter, some tweeps supported his speculation about Kuria’s sexuality while others dismissed his tweet as being too vulgar.

Belwo are some of the reactions from KOT:

Raphael Tuju’s reaction to Moses Kuria’s bid to launch manhunt for Kiambu voters who voted for Raila

Gatundu South MP, who is infamous for making obnoxious statements on social media, has once again sparked uproar after he announced his intention of hunting down Raila’s supporters in Kiambu county.

Kuria anounced his outragious plan on Facebook where he stated that all residents in Kiambu must vote for Uhuru Kenyatta.

“Kiambu has spoken. They have said Wembe ni Ule Ule. Wangige and Kiambu people are seething with anger. 1 Million of their votes were cancelled by 4 people. But they are so ready to do it again. And even more. Manhunt is on tonight for the 200,000 people who did not vote and the 70,000 that voted for that other demon,” Moses Kuria posted on Facebook.

Jubilee Party’s Secretary General Raphael Tuju blasted the Gatundu South MP over his post on Facebook while speaking on NTV’s Sidebar.

Tuju stated that Jubilee party wouldn’t accept to be put on the spot by mistakes of a few elements in the party who were are preaching the wrong message to the country. He further stated that he would take up the matter with Kuria himself.

“Moses Kuria is out of order and I will not accept this kind of language. If it is true it is from his official Facebook page, then I will take it up with him because it is unacceptable. Simple, and it cannot be Jubilee policy. We cannot be put on the spot by mistakes of a few elements in the party which are preaching the wrong thing for this country. I can say that without any fear or confliction,” Tuju said in part.

“No more electronic transmission of results” Moses Kuria reveals action plan after loss at Supreme Court

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has revealed his first action plan in parliament following landmark Supreme Court ruling on Friday September 1st.

Kuria has vowed to push for the reconstitution of the Supreme Court following the ruling that nullified the results of August 8th presidential election.

“In another 58 days, the Supreme Court will sit again. However it will be reconstituted. This time 45 Million Kenyans will be on that bench. Even in the Bible it is not an easy task to cast away demons. They always come back kicking and screaming till they are finally exorcised and cast to the pigs. What happened on Friday at the Supreme Court was just that….The demon Raila that we kicked out on 8th August attempted a come back. In 58 days we will kick it out for good and cast it to the pigs and cast the pigs to the sea. Twende Kazi. God is on our side. He is just testing our demon casting faith levels,” Moses Kuria posted on Facebook on September 2nd.

Moses Kuria during a recent campaign rally

The controversial MP also outlined his action plan in parliament, he said he plans to push for manual transmission of election results.

“My first business in parliament

  1. No more electronic transmission of results. We count all votes at the constituency and declare them there .
  2. Supreme Court will require minimum of 5 judges to overturn results

I will easily get support of 233 members

Raila if you don’t like it use your underwear to commit suicide,” wrote Kuria.

“Cut my salary by a further 15%” Moses Kuria talks sense in his open letter to SRC chairperson Sarah Serem

Moses Kuria has joined Mohamed Ali to support Salaries and Remuneration Commission (SRC) bid to slash salaries for Members of Parliament.

Female lawmakers are leading the rebellion against SRC’s new proposed salary package that will see legislators’ salaries reduced from Kes 710,000 to Kes 621, 250 per month. Homa Bay Woman Representative Gladys Wanga, Kiambu Women Rep Gathoni Wa Muchomba and Mbita MP Millie Odhiambo have strongly opposed SRC new salary package.

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has joined his Nyali counterpart Mohamed Ali to support SRC bid to slash lawmakers’ salaries.  Kuria wrote an open later to SRC chairperson Sarah Serem instructing her to further reduce his salary by 15%.

Moses Kuria

Below is Kuria’s open letter to Sarah Serem:

Dear Sarah Serem. By this post I authorise you to effect the new salary level for myself. I would even suggest you look for legal mechanism for cutting my salary by a further 15%. I also commend you for revoking all my sitting allowances, otherwise if you didn’t do so I would have been tempted to also claim for squatting allowances or sleeping allowances. The Jubilee government will effect free day secondary education in January. I trust that with my reduced salary and no sitting allowances, we can now work towards subsidising fees in boarding schools or providing free meals for poor malnourished kids in primary schools. If we do that we will reduce the strain on our bursaries thus reducing my headache as Member of Parliament for Gatundu South. Finally Sarah I will be looking forward to working with you in the 12th parliament to reduce the public wage bill and reduce the many political offices in this country. We must work together towards a target if no more than 35% of our budget going to recurrent expenditure and 65% going towards capital expenditure that will spur development, long term growth and prosperity. It is tempting to ask you not to cut my salary or reduce my sitting allowances. But when I think of the kind of a country I will bequeath to my boys Brian and Dennis, I think twice. When I remember that there are families in this country who did not have something for dinner last night, not because they forgot to cook but because they did not have something to cook, I think twice. I hope that other non political public officers will take notice. Ukiona mwenzako kichwa ikinyolewa, chako tia maji. #MbeleIkoSawa #PunguzaMzigo #PundaAmechoka

“I owe nobody any explanations!” Says Moses Kuria after pulling down his controversial post on Facebook

Moses Kuria who is the Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has come out to say that he owes nobody an explanation for the post he shared on his Facebook a few days before Chris Msando was declared dead from what looks like murder.

Well, Kenyans are now demanding for Moses Kuria to explain how he knew Chris Msando was having a good time with ‘some lady’ at Roysambu since he seems to know much about the late IEBC ICT manager’s movements.

What makes it worse is that Kuria shared a photos of the late Chris Msando’s car before captioning the post with a statement that has left him looking guilty.

Anyway, speaking to The Standard Moses Kuria said;

“I owe nobody any explanations. The media and social media are not part of the police and I refuse to be dragged into this political circus.
It will be an exercise in futility… what will happen after explaining myself to you?”

I guess we now leave it to the police for more investigations.

Moses Kuria vows to rip up ODM goons following the fracas in Siaya (Photos)

Controversial Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria has vowed to deal with rowdy ODM supporters in Siaya County. The lawmaker even notified IG Boinett before making the claim.

Moses Kuria has totally irked by the events in Siaya County over the past weekend where ODM supporters faced off with those of Nicholas Gumbo.

Gumbo was floored in ODM nomination but he decided to vie as an independent candidate for Siaya gubernatorial seat. He will be facing the incumbent Cornel Rasanga.

A Police officer was caught in the middle as supporters of Gumbo and Rasanga clashed in Rarieda Constituency over the past weekend.

Moses Kuria shared photos of the attack and warned ODM supporters that he would rip out their intestines and throw them to Lake Victoria.

“Joseph Nkaissery, IG Boinett these are ODM goons attacking police officers in Siaya. The officers were shielding Gumbo’s supporters from the goons. Gumbo is a kind man. I am not. They try such stuff on me and you will send county workers to sweep their intestines and throw them to Lake Victoria,” wrote Moses Kuria on Facebook.

Moses Kuria: I prayed and made a deal with God that if we win this election God will kill Raila (Video)

Gatundu South MP is at it again, this time he told a crowd that he had made a deal with God which will result with the death of Raila Odinga in the event that UhuRuto win August 8th general election.

Moses Kuria seems to be immune to National Cohesion and Integration Commission’s (NCIC) fight against hate speech.

The foul mouthed lawmaker has been arrested a couple of time for hurling dangerous words that posed a threat to the country’s cohesion.

Despite being caught on camera inciting people, Moses Kuria has never been convicted. The best the government has ever done was locking him at Pangani Police Station for four days before being set free.

Moses Kuria together with other 5 lawmakers – famously known as the ‘Pangani Six’ were arrested and locked at Pangani police station on June 2016 for hate speech.

Kuria didn’t learn any lesson from his arrest last year, while addressing a rally in Murang’a on Thursday June 8th 2017, the Gatudu South MP said that he had prayed for Raila’s death.

Speaking in his native Gikuyu language, Kuria said that he made a deal with God that if Uhuru wins August 8th election God will kill Raila.

Speculation ran rife that Moses Kuria was dating Charity Mwangi after the two were seen together countless times, especially after they visited President Uhuru Kenyatta at State House together.

Miss Kenya 2015 Charity Mwangi

The two have been running various projects together and rumormongers interpreted the nature of their interaction as romantic relationship.

Charity Mwangi opened up about her relationship with Moses Kuria in a recent interview with Pulse magazine. The former beauty queen narrated how she ended up having a close working relationship with the controversial MP.

“After I won the Miss World Kenya title, Moses Kuria who is my MP was contacted by Miss World Kenya pageant holder Terry Mungai. The point was to have a courtesy call at State House. We were a team, besides Terry, I was even accompanied by my predecessor, Iddah Nguma and Moses Kuria came over with the First Lady. After the President hosted us, I shared with my MP my vision and he pledged to assist. What is wrong with your MP assisting in my charity projects just like he does others?” Charity said.

Charity further explained that Moses Kuria was only helping her just like he does with residents of Gatundu. He acknowledged that she wouldn’t have made it so far without Moses Kuria’s input.

“My MP opened doors for me just like he has for many other Gatundu residents out there. I can only thank God for connecting me with him as I honestly don’t think I would have made it this far without him,”Charity added.
