Gnako drops smashing hit tagged ‘Joto’ (Video)

I must admit that I discovered G Nako’s music pretty late and at times this fact makes me sad because this Tanzanian singer is really talented. Anyway, as they say, better late than never.

G Nako, whose real name is George Sixtus Mdemu, is the guy behind mega hits such as; Gusanisha, Arosto, Sauti Ya Mtaani, just to name a few.

G Nako

If you are a huge fan of his, like myself, then I’m sure you will be pleased to know that he has a new song out with an up and coming artist by the name Bull Ranking and it’s a big tune.

The song titled Joto, which is a Swahili word that means heat, has been ruling the airwaves since it came out and we are not really surprised because like I mentioned earlier, G Nako is on his own level.

This jam is so infectious. I have listened to it  couple of times since it was released and every time I play it, I kind of feel like I am hearing it for the very first time that is exactly how you know a song is great.

G Nako

I honestly can’t get enough of the Afro-beat vibe in this jam. I love it even more because it blends with the tempos of both G Nako and Bull Ranking. Props to Mr T Touch.

The lyricism is also on point and the best part about it is that you can master the whole song after listening to it once or twice.  Notably, both G Nako and Bull Ranking have good voices. As for the video, I really love the concept.

Highly-acclaimed Kenyan musician Timothy Owuor, better known as Timmy Tdat, has released a new jam alongside  Tanzania’s G Nako and Dogo Janja and it’s getting a lot of love from their fans.

The song titled I Don’t Care, which is off Timmy Tdat’s forthcoming EP dubbed Bonke, has been ruling the airwaves since it came out  few hours ago.

G Nako

To be honest, the first time I listen to this jam I didn’t really like it but with time I came to love it and now I can’t stop playing it. I guess it’s one of those songs that grow on you with time.

I’ll be the first to say that this collaboration was long overdue because it’s so infectious. There is just something about Timmy Tdat’s style and how it blends well Swahili rap that I can’t get enough of.

G Nako killed his verse. He has a natural flow and you just want to keep listening to him as he does his thing. To add to that, he also delivered an impeccable hook on this jam.

Dogo Janja

Dogo Janja also brought his A-game on this jam. Apart from his unique voice, this lad also has a some rare wordplay skills that will leave you with you with one finger stuck on the replay button.

As expected, our very own Timmy Tdat lived to the hype. If you are a huge fan of his, like myself, then I am sure you know that he is one of the best lyricists that we have in Kenya and he proved that yet again in this track.

To be honest, I was not really impressed by the beat. It is so basic. Maybe I find it different because it was made by a Tanzanian producer by the name Mr T Touch.

I absolutely love the video. Other than its crisp quality, I was also impressed by the lighting, styling, the sexy vixens, props, locations, lighting and the flawless scene transitioning.

Nay Wa Mitego teams up with Stamina, YJ and Mr T Touch on ‘Achia Remix’ (Video)

Award-winning Tanzanian rapper Emmanuel Elibariki, popularly known as Nay Wa Mitego, has been featured by his country mate YJ on Achia Remix alongside Stamina and Mr T Touch and it’s a big tune.

The jam has been getting a lot of airplay since it was released a few days ago and their fans can not stop listening to it because it’s a masterpiece.

If you enjoy Swahili rap, like yours truly, then I am sure you’ll love this track. The artists who were featured in it were well-thought out. They are some of the best singers and/or rappers in Tanzania and they aced it.

Stamina

Take for instance Stamina who is on the first verse of Achia Remix. This lad, who is one half the hip hop duo Rostam, has an impeccable flow and his job is to make sure you are hooked from the moment you hit the play button.

His ability to play around with words and make rhymes is unmatched. To add to that, after listening to his verse I am sure you will agree with me he has great punchlines too.

As expected, Nay Wa Mitego also killed it. He brought his A-game and to be honest, I was not expecting anything less from him. His flow is really dope and he makes it look so effortless.

YJ came through on the hook. Admittedly, if you look at him, you can easily dismiss him but believe you me, this guy can really sing and it goes to show that you should not judge a book by it’s cover.

Nay Wa Mitego

The beat by Mr T Touch is also sick. Apart from the fact that it is danceable, it also blends well with the diverse styles of the artists who are featured in this jam.

The video for this track is crisp. Although it was shot at night, it has some great scenes and if you ask me, I know you won’t, the director should get a pat on the back for the beautiful execution and flawless scene transitioning.
