It´s now a sibling-affair. Willy Paul dismisses claims about love affair with Nandy

Controversial ´Hallellujah´ hitmaker, Willy Paul dismisses claims that he is in a love affair with fellow female artist, Nandy from Tanzania.

´Hallelujah´ artists: Willy paul and Nandy

According to the gospel-cum-secular artist:

Nandy is my older sister, whom I respect so much.

This comes in shortly after the controversial Kenyan artist was compelled to explain the message in his most recent release with Nandy, ´Hallellujah´.

In response, according to Willy Paul, the song is just a ´love song´ and being an artist, he ought to sing:

It´s not a gospel song but ni Love song.

Alafu you know mimi ni artiste naruhusiwa kuimba.

Having a gospel-themed title, ¨Hallellujah´s¨ video depicted something completely different, with the two artists, getting too close for the gospel industry.

This has brought confusion among Willy Paul´s fans and followers who want him to clarify which path he is actually following: Gospel or Secular?

This is the second collabo between the two, after previous controversial song, ´Njiwa´.

Additionally, Willy Paul feels that his fans are losing too much energy raising their eyebrows because, he says this is just but the tip of an iceberg:

Unajua kwanza nikifanya na Rayvvanny watu walishangaa sana.

Nimefanya na Nandy pia wameshangaa.

Sasa jua wameshangaa ya kutosha sijui next project watafanya nini sasa.

Willy Paul however announced that he is in the process of signing in two male artistes under his record label, ´Saldido´.

He however declined to respond to the consistent attacks he has been receiving lately from fellow controversial gospel artist, Ringtone.

Willy Paul finally reveals whether ‘Halleluyah’ is a gospel song

Controversial singer Willy Paul recently dropped a new song dubbed Hallelujah; however looking at the video it’s quite hard to tell whether this is really a gospel song.

Well, for sometime now Willy Paul has been releasing confusing songs and for a minute fans started assuming he had officially shifted to making secular music.

His latest song Halleluyah has also left many wondering where to categorize it. However thanks to an recent interview where he was asked;

“Watu wengine wamezungumzia nyimbo yako ya Halleluyah featuring Nandy kuwa Jina pekee ndo gospel hili unasema aje?

Willy Paul responds

He then went ahead to explain that this is a love song by saying;

“It’s not a gospel song, but ni Love song, alafu you know mimi ni artiste naruhusiwa kuimba, unajua kwanza nikifanya na Rayvvany watu walishangaa sana, nimefanya na Nandy pia wameshangaa, sasa jua wameshangaa ya kutosha sijui next project watafanya nini sasa”.

This is however not the first time the controversial artist is showing sings of shifting to the secular side.

So far he has worked with a few secular artists including those signed under Wasafi records and probably soon he will announce his retirement from making gospel singer.

Wambui Katee, the beautiful voice behind viral song covers (Video)

Wambui Katee’s cover of Patoranking’s Suh Different went viral late last year. At the time of publishing this article, the song had 457,132 views on YouTube. That’s no mean feat!

But this does not come as a surprise, the cover was meant to gain traction from the get go. Everything was executed above par. From the instruments, the arrangement, down to her vocals. Nothing was out of place.

Her rendition was so good so much so that many people felt that it was way better than the original. And I agree, this is one of those few cases when a cover is better than the original.

The song’s success has made Wambui more aggressive in doing covers. In the last few months, she has uploaded covers of various songs including; Najua Hutaniacha by Makena, Hazipo by Nandy, Toast by Koffee among others.

All her covers are so well-executed. I’d dare say that she is the Kenyan queen of song covers. I’m sure you are noding your head in agreement.

A few days ago, she uploaded a cover of Harmonize’s Kainama and, as expected, Wambui’s rendition was so good that I had to hit the replay button a couple of times.

Willy Copy! Willy Paul’s new song ‘Alkaida’ angers fans more than ‘Sikireti’ did, copied from singer Nandy

Willy Paul is really getting good at annoying fans. Fans believe also his music is getting worse.

Days after the singer flew all the way to Jamaica to collabo with singer Cecile for “Sikireti” which ended up angering Kenyans to an unbelievable levels, the singer has released yet another song dubbed “Alkaida” which has brought out mixed emotions.

Copied

The song, which has a totally different style from what Willy Paul fans are used to, doesn’t sound gospel at all but that doesn’t shock us at all. Again, the beat of the song has been lifted from Tanzanian singer Nandy’s song “Aibu” which was released a few months ago.

It’s the second time Willy Paul has “copied”..or should we say “stolen”, a song from another artist in just three months. The singer was also accused of stealing “Bora Uhai” in November.

Fans believe he’s running out of ideas a reason why he has been copying and repeating old songs so much lately.

Listen to the new song below:

Tanzanian singer Nandy reveals that collabo with Pozze was her idea, says men derail women’s career

Tanzanian singer Nandy, who made a name in Kenya after her collabo with Willy Paul dubbed “Njiwa” has revealed that the song was her idea and it all started after he bumped into the singer.

“I met Willy Paul when I came for a media tour here in Kenya for my song ninogeshe. He had a conversation with my manager before so when i came, it was the right time. He gave me a song from his studio and I told him that he had to change so I gave him a song. So we did njiwa, he loved it and then we shot it,” she said.

The singer also opened up of how men tend to derail women in their careers when making advances on them. According to the singer, all female musicians meet with hungry men or are always asked to dish out their cookies in exchange of support.

“Women go through a lot of hell in the hands of men who want to have something with them before extending help and support. Most women find themselves giving in because they need help from these male counterparts.” she said.

Character

Nandy, who was recently in Kenya for Coke Studio Africa, then added that a woman’s character comes into play during such trying times because no one is ever forced into such deals.

“It depends with a woman herself, if you really want it or not because at the end of the day, no one will force you, although they will put the offer on the table. Most female musicians do it because they are desperate and want to be famous overnight.” she added.

Willy Paul sets the record straight about dating Nandy

Willy Paul has always flirted with female musicians he collaborated with. He made everyone believe he was dating Alaine before they dropped ‘I Do’ hit song.

The controversial gospel singer did the same thing with Nandy when worked together. The duo dropped ‘Njiwa’ which is the most successful collabo Pozzee has ever done. The song has garnered 6.6 million views on YouTube in just five months.

Brother and sister

Willy Paul opened up about his relationship with Nandy during an interview on Citizen TV’s 10 Over 10 last Friday November 16th.

He dismissed claims that he was dating the Bongo songstress, Pozzee described his relationship with Nandy as a brother/sister kinda of relationship.

“Kuna a group of people that walikuwa wananizuia kuingia Tanzania but then God akaleta Nandy through na tukafanya song. Sahii inaelekea 10 million views so tunashukuru mungu sana kwa Njiwa. Other than that, hakuna kitu inaendelea kati yangu na yeye. Mimi na yeye ni kama ndugu na dada,” said Willy Paul.

Popular sassy singer apologizes after an intimate video with ex boyfriend emerges online

Tanzanian singer Nandy has left many talking after a video with her ex boyfriend Billnass emerged online. Well, judging from the videos content it’s obvious to see that this was 18+ rated.

Anyway apparently the video was taken back in 2016 when the two were together. Not many knew about their relationship since they opted to keep it on the low until just recently when the video emerged.

video leaked

According to the two parties, they are not aware of how the video landed on social media. The guy who also happens to be a big Tanzanian artist went on to say that the video was taken by Nandy using her phone which he had no access to.

Nandy on the other hand has been left confused; however she has issued an apology to fans and Tanzanian government for the inappropriate clip. She wrote saying;
