Uganda vs Nigeria! Hilarious fight between our brothers rages online

Nigerian travel blogger Azaino O. Esuoghene, aka Uncle Koke, sparked controversy after comparing Uganda to “hell on earth” due to its dusty roads, bodaboda traffic, and lack of luxury cars.

In a social media post, Uncle Koke said that he visited Uganda, Rwanda, and Kenya and found Kenya to be the most developed and prosperous country with beautiful people. He said that Rwanda was clean but had a “programmed society” where people seemed scared. He described Uganda as “hell on earth” with dusty roads, too many bodabodas, and no luxury cars. He said that the people in Uganda looked poor and that he saw street kids begging.

Uncle Koke’s comments drew criticism from Ugandans, who accused him of being biased and of spreading lies. They pointed out that Uganda has made significant progress in recent years and that it is a beautiful country with friendly people.

Some Ugandans also acknowledged that there is some truth to Uncle Koke’s observations. They pointed out that Uganda’s roads are in need of repair and that traffic can be a nightmare. They also said that poverty is a problem in Uganda, but that it is not as bad as Uncle Koke made it out to be.

In response to the backlash, Uncle Koke maintained that he was simply stating his opinion. He said that he did not mean to offend anyone and that he wished Uganda all the best.

The debate over Uncle Koke’s comments highlights the different perspectives that people have on Uganda. Some people see it as a beautiful country with a lot of potential, while others see it as a struggling country with many problems. Ultimately, it is up to each individual to decide what they think of Uganda.

How Kenyan Artists Can Hop On The Nigerian Music Wave

It has reached a point where we need to surrender and accept that Nigerian artists have better infrastructure and numbers than any other country in Africa. They are also very competitive due to their large population, since the more the people you are competing with, the more aggressive you have to be to rise to the top. They have blazed a trail in music, setting new standards for quality, marketing and expansion across borders.

At this point, Nigerian artists are the giants upon whose shoulders other African artists need to stand. Nigerian artists hitting 100 million views on YouTube is no longer news. Just this year here are several Nigerian songs that have achieved that milestone:

Nigerian artists are also filling up stadiums in Europe and US like it’s nothing.

But what could Kenyan artists offer them to make it a mutually beneficial trade? I believe Nigerian artists still stand to benefit from remixing their hit songs with other artists from all over Africa. If a song like “Calm down” by Rema hits, he shouldn’t be doing the remix with Selena Gomez. He should be doing the remix with Bien, Diamond, Chameleone, Sarkodie and Major League. The “African remix” should be a staple of Nigerian music by now. They get a second wind on a hit song and the possibility of touring all over Africa due to the new audience gained by doing a remix with a local Kenyan, Tanzanian or Ugandan artist.

Then when an artist finally gets to perform this remix on the same stage as their Naija collaborator, they need to ensure that you outperform them hands down. The Naija weakness is that they are purely studio artists. They don’t do well in live performances where they are prone to shouting loudly and hyping the crowd, even for melodious singers who don’t suit the hype method of performing at all.

Once we hop on the Nigerian wave this way, Kenyan artists will have their entry point into the international market.

Fireboy’s jam ‘Scatter” will bring the house down its a banger(Video)

Get ready to ‘Scatter’ this festive season with Fireboy’s new heated jam: Scatter. The Afro-beat tune released just a day ago has quite the energy an African song deserves.

It is a song that depicts the future of African music and is Ideal for every occasion that calls for an Afrobeat tune including weddings, parties and is a club hit.

Fireboy DML is steadily rising and is currently being rated as the next Wizkid and the future of Nigerian Music. Some of his notable works include: Energy, Feel, Like I Do and King.

Video

The unconventional video is captivating from start to end. The visuals are great and so are the costumes used.

Further on there is this an unnoticeable blend of African dance moves in the thriller-like beat which comes out so well. The choreography is done to African Finesse.

Fireboy Dml

On the other hand, we see him dressed like a joker.  Fireboy is, clearly spreading the message that he is no joke when it comes to music.

The video is too much fire from Fireboy. It also brings back the memories of Alingo by P-square and Azonto: the big hits that dominated the music industry a while back.

Lyrics

It’s a party themed song. With a lot of repetition and native language might be Igbo or Yoruba I don’t really know but it added the juice to it. However, music is understandable regardless of the language and this song is no exception

As they start am

 People yapa

They start to dancia

But as I enter Omo the party scatter

Party scatter, the party scatter, the party scatter

The native language influence has always been a signature in the songs done by Nigerian artists and Fireboy has followed suit in his lyrics much as he has not overdone it. He still allows his fans to get the most out of the lyrics.

This out of the usual song is set to be a massive hit.
