Prezzo opens up about dating Goldie

Kenyan rapper Prezzo has revealed the serendipitous beginnings of his relationship with the late Big Brother star Goldie, who tragically passed away at the age of 31.

During an appearance on the Iko Nini Podcast, Prezzo recounted how their connection emerged from lighthearted banter and evolved into a genuine fondness for one another. “In the beginning, it was all fun and games, but 90 days is a long time,” he explained. “We developed a deep affection for each other, but God loved her more and took her away.“

Prezzo expressed his gratitude to Big Brother for bringing them together, acknowledging that their paths would never have crossed without the show.

In February 2013, shortly after returning to Nigeria from attending the Grammy Awards in the US, Goldie, then 31, experienced a severe headache. She was rushed to a Lagos hospital, where she was sadly pronounced dead.

An autopsy revealed that Goldie succumbed to a combination of hypertensive heart disease and intracerebellar hemorrhage. This revelation dispelled rumors that her death was due to complications from doping.

Prezzo and Goldie both participated in Big Brother Africa in 2013. The show ran for 91 days, commencing on May 26, 2013, and concluding on August 25, 2013.

Their connection, forged within the confines of the Big Brother house, blossomed into a meaningful bond that was tragically cut short by Goldie’s untimely demise. Prezzo’s heartfelt reflections serve as a testament to their unique relationship and the lasting impact Goldie left on his life.

During a candid interview on YouTube, Prezzo recounted his nine-year stint as a youth leader within the sect, under the leadership of former sect leader Maina Njenga.

Prezzo, a Kenyan rapper, has narrated how he ended up being recruited into the Mungiki group, a feared criminal gang in Kenya. Prezzo was battling depression at the time.

In a revealing YouTube interview, Prezzo recounted how he received a call from Andrew, the brother of Mungiki leader Maina Njenga. Andrew told Prezzo that Njenga wanted to meet him, and Prezzo asked why. Andrew simply replied to come to Karen, where everything was ready for him.

Prezzo went to Karen and met with Njenga. Njenga told Prezzo that he knew he was going through a lot, and that he wanted to help him. He offered Prezzo a place to stay, food, and money. Prezzo was desperate, so he accepted Njenga’s offer.

The rapper recently expressed his remorse over the exorbitant amount he spent on his wedding with his ex-wife.

The wedding cost him a whopping Sh4.6 million, and looking back, he wishes he had done things differently. Prezzo shared his regrets during an interview on the POV podcast with Cate Rira.

“I spent around Sh4.6 million for my wedding… you live and you learn. Life teaches you some things. If I could do it again, I would do some things differently,” said Prezzo.

Prezzo’s wedding was highly publicized and was all over- including Magazines and on TV.

But Prezzo now claims all that has besmirched his name after his fall-out with his ex-wife.

Anyway below are just a few celebrities we hope to see settle down at least by the end of 2021. No pressure so don’t get me wrong with this!

P Unit’s collabo with Prezzo was long overdue!

You may or may not know this but about a week ago, P Unit dropped a new jam with Prezzo dubbed Hop Step and it’s so good that it left me wondering why they had never gotten into studio before.

I don’t know why but I have always assumed that P Unit has a track with Prezzo but as it turns out that is not the case. However, the latter featured in Here We Go which had the likes of Gabu, Kristoff and Magix Enga.

Prezzo really came through on their collabo. He has a somewhat hoarse voice that really spices up a song and makes you want to listen to it over and over.

Of course, he also has a good flow and that Swahili accent is the reason why some of us won’t stop listening to that jam anytime soon.

P Unit also did  good job on this track. Although Bon Eye was conspicuously missing, Frasha and Gabu did a decent job and if you are not so keen you would not even notice that the former is not on this jam.

Just like Prezzo, Frasha has a unique voice and that is why the hook for this jam sounds so good. Notably, Gabu also had a sick verse, I was really impressed by the wordplay.

I can only hope that they will release more projects in future. Also if you are reading this Prezzo, we need new music from you man. It’s been a minute!

Eric Musyoka, the iconic producer who took Kenyan music to greater heights

It’s hard to talk about Kenyan music without mentioning the name of Decimal Records CEO Eric Musyoka, popularly known as Musyox. He has been very instrumental in shaping the Kenyan sound.

In the early to mid 2000s when Calif Records and Ogopa Deejays were beefing, the award-winning producer, who is now 38, was working at Homeboyz Entertianment.

While at the stable which is owned by the Rabar family, Musyoka produced songs for the musicians like; Prezzo, TID, Mr Lenny, Nameless, AY, Wyre, Peter Miles, Nikki, Nonini, just to name a few.

He then took a break and went for further studies at the SAE Institute in the US in 2006. Upon his return, he formed Decimal Records and signed P-Unit.

If you ask me, I will tell you that the group that was made up Frasha, Bon Eye and Gabu is one of Musyoka’s greatest achievements to this day. He literally propelled them to greater heights.

What most people do not know is that the three started off as Nonini’s dancers and back-up singers and by 2010 they had won several awards including a MTV Africa Music Award (MAMA). Take a moment and let that sink in.

At Decimal, Musyoka has also worked with Just A Band, Juliani, Daddy Owen, Sauti Sol, Elani, Octopizzo and many more. Put simply, there is a high chance that he has produced a jam for your favourite Kenyan artist.

When all is said and done, he will be remembered for nurturing talents and taking Kenyan music to the continental stage because he started  producing music at a time when most artists were just focusing on their local audiences.

Musyoka is one of the producers who changed the game by ensuring our music could transcend our borders and this led to artists getting so many shows outside the country.

He’s a legend in his own right and it saddens me that most people will realize this after he hangs up his boots because as they say, you never miss something until it’s gone.

Prezzo is finally on the 4th floor and so far, he has no regrets but thankful for everything life has given him.

To celebrate the great milestone, Prezzo recently revealed that he will be throwing a lit birthday party that will see most of his celebrity friends attend.

Although he seems to have taken some time off releasing new music (or retired) the fella continues to wow his fans with his amazing and youthful style that will definitely not be fading anytime soon.

Rapper Prezzo has come out to defend himself from a story claiming he is currently receiving treatment at the Karen hospital after being drugged and raped by several women.

The story which was first highlighted by a Tanzanian blog has left many shocked with the news as it claims Prezzo got assaulted by 3 unknown women.

Swahili Times went on to announce the news saying;

Mwanamuziki Prezzo kutoka Kenya amelazwa katika hospitali ya Karen baada ya Kunyweshwa dawa na kubakwa na wanawake Qatari. Inasemekana alipewa cocaine na Viagra kabla ya kukumbwa na mkasa huo akiwa hajitambui. Jeshi la polisi Linawashikilia wanawake watatu kwa ajili  ya Mahojiano.

Prezzo’s new collabo with Kenyan EC dubbed ‘Nitakupata’ is a big tune (Video)

Rapper Jackson Ngechu Makini, alias Prezzo has teamed up with upcoming singer Kenyan EC on his latest release dubbed Nitakupata and we are really feeling it.

Nitakupata is a Swahili word that means I’ll get you and as the title suggests, this song is about a guy who wants to convince a certain lass that he is really interested in her. As such, he assures her that he will win eventually.

Prezzo proves that he’s still got in this jam with his witty rhymes. There’s a part where he says, “Nitakushika, nitaku pakasa, ntakupeleka cloud tisa utupe rada na kisha utanchorea saba.” You guy.

Kenyan EC did not disappoint either. In my opinion, he did well for an upcoming singer. Maybe, just maybe we will hear more greatness from him soon.

The beat for this jam is simple. However, that does not mean that you can not bump to it. As I was listening to it, I could visualize people dancing to it in a club.

The video for this jam is an animation. However, it was terribly executed. There’s nothing to write home about it.

“No politics, it’s was for the good of Kibera residents” Prezzo explains meeting with Raila Odinga

Raila Odinga hosted Prezzo at his Capitol Hill office a month ago. The rapper sparked speculations that he was being inducted into politics by Baba when he shared a photo of their meeting and captioned it ‘Do the math.’

Prezzo has however come out to deny claims that he is joining politics, he explains that the meeting with the ODM leader was meant for the good of Kibera people.

“I am not joining politics. I am doing charity work with one of my partners,” said Prezzo during an interview with Word Is.

Prezzo and Kompakt Records CEO Steve Oh embarked on a new initiative of upgrading 16 homes in Kibera slums.

The two upgraded mud houses to give Kibera residents a feel of solid permanent houses. Prezzo made it clear that they were giving back to the society and challenged other musicians to give back to the fans.

CMB Prezzo and Kompakt Records CEO Steve Oh have embarked on a new initiative of upgrading 16 homes in Kibera slums.

The two will upgrade the mud houses and give the residents a feel of solid permanent houses. Prezzo has made it clear that they are giving back to the society and challenged other popular musicians to give back to the fans.

Prezzo under his label Makini Music has collaborated with Kompakt records in the past and has featured in a new single ‘Ready to drink’ alongside fast rising musician/producer Yello.

Prezzo is also nurturing artists and has made it clear that Yello is his project. Yello hails from Mombasa and is currently residing in Kibra.

Huddah Monroe and Prezzo dated long ago before she became rich and famous. The petite socialite however regrets her sweet moments with the bad boy rapper.

For starters, Prezzo is the lucky guy who took away Huddah’s innocence. Last year in a post on social media, Huddah saluted the rapper for popping her cherry.

Huddah now regrets losing her virginity altogether. The socialite took to social media to narrate how sex is special and how she is disappointed for losing her innocence.

Betty Kyallo has finally left KTN, she hosted her last show on Friday August 3rd. She broke down in tears while bidding her fans goodbye during her last show which she hosted live from KICC.

Betty’s last wish before leaving KTN was to host Prezzo. For starters, Prezzo caused drama in January 2016 at KTN when Betty Kyallo last hosted him on Friday Briefing.

Prezzo turned up at KTN for interview with Betty Kyallo while drunk like a fish. The rapper started flirting with Betty who at the time was still married to Dennis Okari.

He even fondled Betty on live broadcast prompting the KTN anchor to call for a commercial break just to get away from him.

Betty Kyallo said she wanted to host Prezzo on her last show on KTN when her sister Mercy Kyallo reminisced about the 2016 incident.

“What a sweet bubbly, humble, energetic but sometimes stubborn & annoying soul you are. Preparing to watch the last Friday Briefing tonight. My best one was when Prezzo was the guest anchor. Live TV can be hilarious! Anyway to new beginnings,” wrote Mercy Kyallo on IG.

Noti Flow has praised Prezzo’s bedroom skills after they made out. Prezzo recently broke up with his Tanzanian lover Amber Lulu, Noti Flow also ended her relationship with Colonel Mustafa.

Noti Flow poured out her heart to Prezzo before they jumped to bed. The female rapper declared her undying love for Prezzo after he broke up with Amber Lulu.

“I just realized wen am with my real ones we do not often take pics . We’re so caught up with real shit we forget to take em, cuz pics is least of importance . Amber Lulu addresses claims she aborted Prezzo’s unborn child

Amber Lulu has set the record straight in regard to claims that she aborted unborn baby fathered by her Kenyan boyfriend Prezzo.

A source close to the socialite told Tanzanian daily Ijumaa Wikienda that Lulu was knocked up by her boyfriend a while back when she stayed with him in Nairobi.

Apparently Lulu terminated the pregnancy before the baby bump became visible. The source further reveals that the socialite didn’t even tell Prezzo she was expectant.

“Unajua Amber alipopata ujauzito huo nahisi alikuwa hana maelewano mazuri na Prezzo akaona amfiche kwanza kusikilizia kama wataelewana,” the source told Ijumaa Wikienda.

Kenya’s hip hop heavyweights have united to drop a new song dubbed ‘Pepea’. The song hasn’t been released officially, it’s currently available on demand music apps.

It has been years since Kenyan rappers join forces to drop a banger. Now Kayvo Kforce, Prezzo, Bobby Mapesa, Kidis, Gabu have teamed up to give hip hop lovers what they have been yearning for.

Of all the rappers featured in the song, Kayvo Kforce and Prezzo are only ones who have been active in the industry. Bobby Mapesa, Kidis and Gabu had taken a sabbatical from music.

June 6th

Kayvo Kforce announced that ‘Pepea’ will be released officially on June 6th 2018. The song is currently available on music streaming site Boomplay.

Prezzo has been a slave of alcohol for years. The rapper is best remembered for the January 2016 incident at KTN when he sparked national uproar.

Prezzo turned up at KTN for interview with Betty Kyallo while drunk like a fish. The rapper started flirting with Betty who at the time was still married to Dennis Okari.

He even fondled Betty on live broadcast prompting the KTN anchor to call for a commercial break just to get away from Prezzo.

Prezzo has hinted he has stopped drinking liquor for good. The rapper shared a message on social media urging people to stop drinking alcohol.

He also stresses that alcohol is for people who want to forget their misery. He said people drink liquor to forget their misery, poverty and unhappiness.

“Dont spend all your money on women, they have destroyed kings. Kings should not drink wine or have a craving for achohol coz when drunk they forget the laws & forget the people in need. Forgiveness and reconciliation! Prezzo and Jaguar do the impossible and announce end of all hostilities

Prezzo and Jaguar’s beef is the longest rivalry in the history of Kenyan showbiz. The two celebrities have passionately hated each other for years.

The genesis of Prezzo and Jaguar’s beef is not clearly understood but Prezzo once said that Jaguar snitched on him just to gain mileage back then when he was still struggling.

The beef stood the test of time as Prezzo and Jaguar didn’t see eye to eye for years. They have thrown words at each other while being interviewed separately at different radio stations.

Cessation of all hostilities

Enemies are now becoming friends ever since Raila Odinga and Uhuru Kenyatta shook hands. Jaguar and Babu Owino ended their beef weeks after the handshake.

Prezzo finally mends fences with Jaguar ending years of hostilities

Prezzo and Jaguar’s beef is the longest rivalry in the history of Kenyan showbiz. The two celebrities have hated each other with passion for years.

The genesis of Prezzo and Jaguar’s beef is not clearly understood but Prezzo once said that Jaguar snitched on him just to gain mileage back then when he was still struggling.

The beef stood the test of time as Prezzo and Jaguar didn’t see eye to eye for years. They have thrown words at each other while being interviewed separately at different radio stations.

Prezzo has finally announced ceasefire sparking hope that his beef with Jaguar has finally come to an end. Speaking on Citizen TV’s 10 Over 10, the controversial rapper said that he had no problems with Jaguar.

“I don’t have issues with anyone, nowadays am a changed man. I am good with everyone, even Jaguar,” said Prezzo.

In the past Prezzo refused to acknowledge Jaguar, he said that the only Jaguar he knew were the British luxury vehicle brand – Jaguar and South American big cat – Jaguar.

Prezzo has joined the long list of men envying Wazir Chacha for bedding a record 13 women MPs. The controversial rapper expressed his admiration for Chacha in a viral video.

Police revealed that Chacha had slept with 13 women MPs when they arrested him. The young man had earlier leaked his intimate photos with former Bomet Woman Representative Cecilia Ng’etich

Chacha was arrested for conning MPs and blackmailing them. He however blames Murang’a Women Rep Sabina Chege for fixing him because of personal issues. He threatened to release videos that he purports to hold as evidence of his interaction with Chege.

I don’t like the kleptomaniac side

Prezzo says the only thing he doesn’t like about Chacha is his irresistible urge to steal from MPs. The rapper however says he likes the other side of Chacha – shagging women MPs like a bull on heat.

“Well, basically, apart from the stealing part, there are other side of him. I just want to be like him when I grow up, trust me bro. He should have just done the do and not steal from them,” said Prezzo.

Prezzo and Amber Lulu’s relationship has been dogged by lack of trust. The Kenyan playboy has been forced to explain why he is always in company of women.

Amber recently questioned Prezzo’s commitment to their relationship. The rapper was seen surrounded by ladies during his trip to Tanzania.

Prezzo is in Tanzania to promote his new song ‘Hamsa Mia’ with Dogo Janja. He revealed he wasn’t cheating on Amber Lulu during an interview with EATV.

“Uzuri wangu mimi huwa na mademu wakati wote wamenizunguka, shida nyingine mtu akiniona na demu fulani labda ni dada au binamu yangu kwa sababu mimi nina familia Tanzania tayari ni kosa,” said Prezzo.

Prezzo shows off his bullet proof vest, reveals why he wears it!

Rapper Prezzo is not only among the celebrities who have been in the game for the longest time; but he also happens to be one of those who likes to shows off a lot.

In his new Instagram story video the rapper shows off his bullet proof vest that he walks around wearing. Well, being one who walks around wearing gold chains and of course rolls around with expensive cars the fella feels the need of  protecting himself.

Prezzo says that apart from safety, he enjoys that the vest keeps him warm.  It is however unclear why all of a sudden the rapper has started rolling around wearing the vest…..but like he said, safety first!

Controversial rapper Prezzo seems to have settled down for good. In fact lately he prefers having daddy duty than stepping out to party with his crew.

Since reuniting with his daughter Zahrie, the guy has just been by her side. This could be because he is out to make up for the time he was not around her.

In his recent Instagram story, the rapper praises his baby girl as he refers to her as ‘My all’. Thanks to that specific photo, it is also clear to see that Zahrie actually inherited her looks from her daddy.

If you thought Amber Lulu was going to be Prezzo’s girlfriend for a long time you are wrong. The video vixen has already laid groundwork to be Prezzo’s wife.

Amber Lulu seems to be in a hurry to become Prezzo’s wife. The two lovebirds only started dating sometimes in September 2017.

Amber Lulu is already referring herself as ‘Mrs Prezzo’. The video vixen says she now calls herself Mrs Prezzo because she is confident the Kenyan rapper is her prince charming.

“Nimejiamini kabisa wala sina hofu na kujipachika jina hilo kwa sababu najua yule ni wangu tu,” Amber Lulu asserted.

Amber Lulu revealed how much she loves Prezzo in the birthday message she sent the rapper. She referred Prezzo as her husband and said she he gives him peace and happiness that she didn’t have before.
