Rick Ross Considers Collaboration With Kenyan Artists After Being Called Out

In a surprise move, rapper Rick Ross responded to social media criticism regarding his lack of collaboration with Kenyan artists on his upcoming album “Champagne Moments.” Following an initial announcement featuring artists from Ghana, South Africa, and Tanzania, Kenyan influencer Cassypool called out Ross, demanding Kenyan representation on the project.

Ross announced collaborations with artists from other African countries and Kenyan artists were notably absent from the list.

Cassypool’s Criticism publicly questioned Ross’s selection criteria and advocated for Kenyan inclusion. He highlighted the success of Kenyan artists like Khaligraph Jones. Ross acknowledged Cassypool’s message and recognized Kenya’s talent pool. He has now expressed openness to working with Kenyan artists, calling the country “a home of legends.”

Possible Future Developments

It remains to be seen whether specific collaborations with Kenyan artists materialize.

This exchange opens the door for potential future engagement between Ross and the Kenyan music scene

Diamond Platnumz ex has secret wedding to multi-millionaire

Videos of the event have surfaced online, showing Hamisa being introduced to Kevin’s family and friends. The couple appears to be very happy together, and they were surrounded by loved ones on their special day.

Hamisa had previously expressed her desire to get married, and it seems that she has finally found the man of her dreams. She has said that she believes in the sanctity of marriage, and she is excited to start a new chapter in her life with Kevin.

The couple’s wedding was a private affair, but it was clear that they were very happy to be celebrating their love with their closest friends and family. We wish them all the best in their new life together.

Hamisa Mobetto’s New Boyfriend Sparks Unfollowed Drama with Rick Ross

Tanzanian socialite and model Hamisa Mobetto recently went viral after a video of her being surprised by her new boyfriend, Togolese tycoon Kevin Sowax, went viral. The video showed Sowax showering Mobetto with lavish gifts, including flowers, champagne, balloons, and Louis Vuitton goodie bags.

The video quickly caught the attention of fans and followers, who were excited to see Mobetto in a new relationship. However, the video also sparked some drama, as American rapper Rick Ross, who had previously been linked to Mobetto, unfollowed her on social media shortly after it surfaced.

Ross and Mobetto met in Dubai in late 2021 and were spotted getting cozy in several pictures and videos that circulated on social media. Though they claimed to be just friends and business associates, their chemistry was evident. Ross even expressed admiration for Mobetto’s entrepreneurial spirit and desire to support her in her ventures.

It is unclear why Ross unfollowed Mobetto after the video of her new boyfriend went viral. Some fans have speculated that he was upset about her new relationship, while others believe that he simply wanted to distance himself from the drama.

Whatever the reason, Ross’s unfollowing act has certainly raised eyebrows and sparked a lot of speculation about the nature of his previous relationship with Mobetto. Only time will tell what really happened between the two of them.

In the meantime, Mobetto seems to be very happy with her new boyfriend, Sowax. The two of them have been spending a lot of time together and have been posting pictures and videos of their travels and adventures on social media.

It seems that Mobetto has finally found her happily ever after.

Yemi Alade celebrates African culture in ‘Shekere’ featuring Angelique Kidjo (Video)

African culture is beautiful and what better way to portray it than through music? Well, that is exactly what Nigerian Afropop singer Yemi Alade has done in her new track with four-time Grammy Award winner singer Angelique Kidjo.

The jam dubbed Shekere, which is the African version of a tambourine, is the sixth single from Yemi Alade’s Woman Of  Steel album which features international stars including American rapper Rick Ross.

Angelique Kidjo

Interestingly, the track, which is currently topping continental charts, came about when Angelique Kidjo asked Yemi Alade to revamp her 1996 classic hit dubbed Wombo Lombo.

As expected, Shekere is a masterpiece. That is what happens when a certified legend and a pacesetter collaborate. All aspects of this jam are glorious and epic.

Yemi Alade and Angelique Kidjo

I have listened to this track a couple of times since it was released and every time I play it, it’s like I am hearing it for the very first time. I can’t say this enough but it’s really infectious.

I don’t need to tell you this but Yemi Alade and Angelique Kidjo have the most glorious voices that you will ever hear, I am not even exaggerating but the truth is that they sound very pleasant to the ears.

As Shekere begins, Yemi emotively sings in English and Yoruba before progressing into a stellar duet with the iconic Angelique who also sings in her native Benin dialect and it’s the most beautiful thing that you’ll ever hear.

Yemi Alade
Yemi Alade

The instrumentation in this song is also impeccable. Perhaps its most amazing aspect is that it borrows a lot from the traditional West African sound.

I love everything about the video. From the Ankara attires and jewelry, the traditional dancers, Maasai warriors, the shoot location i.e. Massai Mara National Park, everything is just on point.

Watch Shekere below and tell us what you think. Enjoy!

Kwesta’s new collabo with Rick Ross ‘I Came I Saw’ is totally fire (Video)

South African rapper and songwriter Senzo Mfundo Vilakazi, better known as Kwesta, has dropped a new track with Rick Ross and it’s getting a lot of love.

The song titled I Came I Saw, which was released exactly a month after Kwesta’s collabo with Rich Homie Quan Run It Up came out, has been getting a lot of airplay.

To the best of my knowledge, this track talks about Kwesta’s upbringing in Katlehong township in South Africa. In as much as it was not a slum, life wasn’t easy, according to the Ngud hitmaker.

Kwesta and Rick Ross
Kwesta and Rick Ross

The underlying message, at least according to me, is that you can still make it big despite where you come from that’s why he says, “I came I saw I conquered all.”

I really love this jam. Other than Kwesta’s hoarse voice – which I’ve since gotten accustomed to, I couldn’t get enough of the part where he dropped a verse in English. His flow is really dope and I’m not exaggerating.

As expected, Rick Ross also did a good job. His deep baritone gave the jam an edgy feel or so to speak. I’m sure many people won’t forget the part where he says, “I came I saw Kwesta and his grandma in Katlehong.”

The video which was filmed in Kwesta’s hood as anyone can predict, was also on point. Apart from the amazing shots and dope choreography, one thing that struck me about the video was the cameo from Kwesta’s grandmother.

How Ngina Kenyatta lost photo opportunity with Rick Ross despite asking stage manager to make it happen

First daughter Ngina Kenyatta, her uncle Jomo Gecaga and aunt Nana Gecaga were among Nairobi revelers who went to Carnivore grounds for Rick Ross’ concert.

The first family bought out the VVIP tent which was located next to the backstage. The VVIP guests were the closest to the American rapper but unfortunately Rozay didn’t have time to rub shoulders with them.

The American rapper walked straight to the stage the moment he arrived at Carnivore. This was contrary to the expectation of the VVIPs who paid a lot to be close to Rozay.

Request thwarted

The first family sent word via their security detail to the stage manager to make plans for Rick Ross to have a brief photo session with them.

The stage manager however couldn’t make it happen because the request had not been factored into Rozay’s stage itinerary. Rick Ross was also whisked away to his hotel room after his show was over denying the VVIPs another chance to rub shoulders with him.

“Siku ya kwanza call time ilikuwa 1pm na alikuja saa tatu usiku. Alipofika pale kwa sababu hatujawahi kukutana tulipoanza kushoot na kuongea nafikiri alipata picha tofauti, sjui alidhani mimi ni mshamba ama nini. Rick Ross has fallen out with Diamond Platnumz? The American rapper has decided to delete all posts that had Diamond from his Instagram handle.

The cracks
