Diamond’s manager: We created the beef between Alikiba and Diamond, we regularly meet with Kiba’s management 

Diamond’s manger Sallam SK Mendez reveals that his boss’ beef with Alikiba is not real because the management representing the two singers meet on a regular basis.

Speaking during an interview on Times FM, Mendez says the beef was created by the management for the sole purpose of giving the two singers mileage.

“Kati ya Ali na Diamond hakunaga bifu, na haijawi kutokea, na uongozi wa Alikiba na WCB huwa tunakutana mara kwa mara kuzungumza. Bifu ilitengenezwa na sisi baada ya kuona watu wanapenda hivyo vitu tukavitumia kwaajili ya kupromote wimbo wetu,” said Sallam SK Mendez.

Drama at Chris Brown concert

Sometimes on October 8th 2016, Alikiba caused drama at Chris Brown concert in Mombasa. Kiba performed two songs and left the stage. He later blamed the subpar performance on Diamond’s manager.

In an interview with Mzazi Willy Tuva, Alikiba said he couldn’t continue performing because he spotted Diamond’s manager backstage while he was performing.

It’s not clear why Wasafi Record was hesitant to let Rich Mavoko go, apparently WCB is yet to get its return on investment.

Mavoko had to seek the help of Tanzania’s music and arts regulatory body BASATA to quit. It turns out WCB is yet to get its investment back since Mavoko signed a contract with Wasafi in June 2016.

Wasafi’s top honcho who also serves as Diamond Platnmuz’s manager – Sallam SK Mendez shed light on the label’s bone of contention with Rich Mavoko.

Speaking during an interview on The Playlist on Times FM, Mendez claimed Rich Mavoko was not honest claiming that WCB was exploiting him.

Mendez reveals that WCB was the one losing since the label had not even recovered the money that they invested in Rich Mavoko.

“Mpaka sasa sielewi malalamiko ya Mavoko ni yapi kwa sababu ukisema sisi tunamnyonya mtu hicho kitu hakiwezekani alafu isitoshe pesa ambayo tumewekeza kwa Rich Mavoko haijarudi hata robo,” said Sallam SK Mendez.

 

 

 

“Dar regional commissioner approves our videos” Diamond’s managers express shock with the ban on the singer’s songs

Diamond is among nine other Bongo musicians whose songs have been blacklisted for airplay in Tanzania. The singer’s management has expressed shock with the ban.

Diamond’s international collaborations with Rick Ross and Morgan Heritage have been blacklisted. Tanzania Communication Authority says the two songs doesn’t adhere to accepted moral standards in the country.

Diamond’s managers Babu Tale and Mendez have reacted to the ban by Tanzania Communication Authority. The two says that Regional Commissioner for Dar es Salaam – Paul Makonda approves all Wasafi videos before they are released.

Babu Tale and Mendez says Paul Makonda is their godfather and that he approved ‘Hallelujah’ and ‘Waka’ which have been banned by Tanzania Communication Authority.

Diamond apologizes to fans after he fails to deliver his new song ‘Waka’ featuring Rick Ross

Diamond featured American rapper Rick Ross in a new song dubbed ‘Waka’. The Tanzanian singer is however unable to deliver the song as promised.

Three days ago Diamond dropped two audios ‘Niache’ and ‘Sikomi’. The singer’s fans were however not pleased per se because they were expecting him to release ‘Waka’.

Diamond promised to drop the new song featuring Rick Ross on Friday December 1st. The ‘Hallelujah’ hit maker is however unable to deliver on his promise.

Diamond apologized to his fans in a statement issued by his manager Sallam SK ‘Mendez’. The statement says Diamond’s management is unable to release ‘Waka’ due to unavoidable circumstances.

Mendez says fans will be notified about the song’s release date once they sought out the issues. He also apologized to fans on behalf of his boss.

“Tunaomba Msamaha Wimbo wa #Waka ulitakuwa kutoka siku ya leo kutokana na sababu zilizo nje ya uwezo wetu kwahiyo hautaweza kutoka leo lakini muda sio mrefu tutawajuza!! Sorry for any inconvenience,” Mendez wrote.
