Addressing inquiries about when she plans to remarry and disregarding societal pressures regarding her age, Wilbroda emphasized that she wouldn’t be rushed into marriage.

In a conversation with Lynn Ngugi, Wilbroda highlighted that her son is a top priority in her life as she contemplates settling down. She expressed the desire for a man who would serve as a positive role model for her son, imparting valuable lessons that she might not be able to teach.

While acknowledging that her son already has a father figure, Wilbroda emphasized the need for a man who could be his friend and mentor. Regarding relationships, she emphasized the importance of starting as friends, stating that feelings may fade, but friendship lasts forever.

Being religious, Wilbroda expressed a preference for a partner who shares her spirituality. She emphasized the significance of an open-minded individual with whom she can engage in discussions about the Bible.

Another quality she desires in a partner is a willingness to travel and explore new places, as she considers herself a passionate travel enthusiast. Wilbroda wants a partner who shares this passion.

In terms of roles and provisions in a relationship, Wilbroda humorously mentioned, “I will bring the milk, but I won’t take on all the responsibilities. For example, if we go out for lunch, I might suggest that you buy the drinks while I purchase the food.”

Despite having specific criteria, Wilbroda acknowledged that she is open to learning and unlearning as she discovers additional traits from her potential partner as their relationship progresses.

Actress Jacquey Nyaminde popularly known as Wilbroda was once married, you know – lived the good life of a good wife; but just like most young toxic marriages, she ended up splitting with hubby and was left to raise her son alone.

The popular actress opened up about her past during a recent interview with Buzz Central; where she spoke about her past marital woes for the first time.

Well, turns out that Wilbroda’s marriage was not so smooth; and although she didn’t spill much from her past – all I know is that at some point things almost physical and she quickly decided to leave. Speaking about this experience Nyaminde said;

I acted immediately and started planning myself.

Blames family and herself

Apart from the violence she quickly escaped from, Nyaminde says she was also part of the problem; as she often hosted her family members every now and then – making privacy a problem for husband.

According to Nyaminde, she got to learn about the relatives issue through her husband’s friends; since the guy ranted about it after their divorce. Speaking to Cheptoek Boyo – Wilbroda said;

I also contributed to the breakup. I think by the time one thing that contributed to our breakup was that I was with my relatives all the time. My sisters were always at my house, I didn’t see a big deal with it until later on after we broke up, he mentioned it to his friend.

Adding;

I didn’t see that. Looking at it now I am like, I contributed to their coming. I went overboard. I enjoyed their company but it cost me.

Having learnt her lesson the hard way, the popular actress now says;

I no longer entertain visitors even my relatives. People need their personal space. It’s one of the things. You have to be mentally prepared to have friends over.

Former Papa Shirandula’s actress Wilbroda aka Nyaminde is a proud mother of two; even though one of her kids never made it out alive – that is judging from her latest post.

According to the last, she got pregnant in 2011 and was blessed with a handsome son; and in 2013 she got pregnant again and this time around she was blessed with a baby girl.

The lady opened up about a miscarriage she suffered back in 2013; just when she was expecting to welcome a baby girl. Through the detailed post, the lass went on to reveal how she even named the fetus – crossing her fingers that it would be a baby girl.

In 2013, I got pregnant again. Oh I was elated! I hoped and prayed that it was a girl. I was almost sure it was, so I named her Atis.

Miscarriage

However at 3 months, Wilbroda says she started spotting; a big nightmare that left her heartbroken as she knew what this meant – a miscarriage.

In the detailed post, Wilbroda went on to add;

But then at 3 months, I noticed abnormal spotting and my heart just sunk. The doctor confirmed it and I went in for an evacuation 2 days later. That was a sad period for me. Sometimes I sit and imagine she’d be 8 years now…

To celebrate other mums who have gone through the same experience or worse; Nyaminde concluded her post by writing;

The journey of motherhood is tough. Believe me it’s harder than you think but truth is, most mums will never complain about this; because at the end of the day – a child will always remain as a blessing.

As the world celebrated Mother’s Day on Sunday, a few of our local celebrities i.e Papa Shirandula’s actress Nyaminde popularly known as Wilbroda opened up about her journey into mother leaving many quite shocked.

Wilbroda’s experience as a first time mum

According to Nyaminde, she was blessed with her first child in 2010; a handsome baby boy who was delivered through a C Section surgery and no complications.

As expected the new mum was really excited to have a healthy baby boy; but little did she know the nightmares awaiting for her.

On the 16th of July, 2010, I became a mother to a beautiful baby boy. It was birth by C section and my friends were there with me from the moment i got into theatre up until when the surgery was done. Thankyou @victorgatonye Thank you @king_lambourghini
4 days later, I was home, excited about this new chapter of my life.

How she unknowingly battled Postpartum depression

Just like most mums, Ms Nyaminde ended up with postpartum depression which comes to new mums; but unfortunately she was not aware the whole time.

From the post, the mother of one says the postpartum depression slowly graduated from feeling sad during the evenings; to crying and just like that depression took over.

But then almost immediately, I started having feelings that I did not understand. I was extremely sad…There was this hollowness that would show up, especially in the evenings. I’d experience such anxiety and just start crying. I didn’t understand it, I’d never heard of it. It just didn’t feel right.I mean I was supposed to be happy .

Of course the postpartum depression also comes with mum guilt that left Wilbroda wondering why she wasn’t happy with her newborn; but hey – through it all she managed to remain sane. Sharing her experience, the actress went on to write;

I had just been blessed with the most precious gift. I hated that feeling. I hated evenings. I told nobody about it. It just slowly slipped away…Only later did I get to know that what I went through was called Postpartum Depression.

The award-winning rapper, born Francis Amisi expressed deep regret in wasting away 15 years of money in alcohol. After being inspired by this brother to do the ‘90 days without alcohol’ challenge that saw him completely give up the bottle in 2018.

4. Nana Gecaga

President Uhuru’s niece, Nana would finish a crate of beer bottles in a day, in her early youthful life, something that nearly saw her family give up on her after several trips to rehabilitation centers. She proudly marks 20 years alcohol-free.

5. Rapcha the Sayantist

The comedian and Hot 96 presenter long battle with alcoholism had gotten to the point that his kids would wipe vomit from his mouth. For him, quitting alcohol is the best decision he ever made.

6. Natalie Tewa

The curvy travel and lifestyle vlogger, in September 2020 announced she had been 2-months alcohol-free and still is pushing on.

7. Kabi WaJesus

Kabi was a heavy drinker and smoked cigarettes and bhang, things he was exposed to at a young age while living in Kayole, that nearly destroyed his health forcing him to give up the drink. Having given his life to Jesus in 2013, him and his wife have turned to non-alcoholic drinks.

8. Ian Wafula

The BBC journalist on November 1, 2020 announced it had been 6 months free of alcohol and even though utterly clueless, he is loving the journey.

9. DNA

The rapper, born Dennis Kaggia revealed that after hitting fame, peer pressure and the wrong group of friends, had seen him wreck cars and destroy relationships. But after his daughter was born, a different light was born within him.

10. Jalang’o

The celebrated media personality promised to stop taking alcohol, courtesy of his close friend and colleague Alex Mwakideu on July 15, 2020 as they walk this alcohol-free journey together. Promises are there to be kept.

TV star Wilbroda has opened up on her traumatizing relationship with a violent ex, who forced her to pack and leave in the middle of the night.

Born Jacky Nyaminde revealed how a man she had been attracted to from the word go, despite his flaws, turned into a violent man towards her and her child.

Speaking on Joyce Gituro’s vlog, the actress recalled how she fell pregnant within an year of dating her man but soon after, the father to her child turned into something else.

Tables turn

Wilbroda’s baby daddy started shouting at her in the presence of her nanny and her son, turning the house into chaos. She cried severally and even begged friends for help, because her marriage is just not working.

He once nearly kicked her out of their house at 4am in the morning. This saw the intervention of the late Papa Shirandula but soon after decided she was going to leave and fend for her child.

Fortunately, two weeks later, Jacky found a suitable house and had to leave, but then her baby daddy pleaded with her to remain and solve their issues amicably, something she completely turned down.

Unfortunately, this is a trait she had noticed in him during their very early days of dating, but ignored it until it blew up on her face.

“One day he shouted at me in the presence of my son, who immediately reacted looking scared and that is what made me decide I have had enough,” she revealed.

However, her baby daddy never hit her.

It is since then that she has remained single, revealing that she is waiting for that one man who has the ‘X factor’ that makes him stand-out.

A man she can have intelligent conversations with, be a mentor to her son and be financially stable because she has carried too many men on her back and it is time she gets treated right as well.

Wilbroda: Will return to Papa Shirandula after we set things straight

Former Citizen TV actress Wilbroda doesn’t have a problem returning to Papa Shirandula program where she quit almost a year ago.

The mother of one, who is also a radio host, said that they first need to streamline a few things first before she makes a return.

“Kwanza naweza show ya Papa Shirandula iko kwa heart yangu sana because the Papa Shirandula crew we are a family hata pale tulikuwa tukifanya shoot haikuwa ni job. Ulikuwa unaenda huko kuenjoy, kuunwind, kulikuwa na watu walikuwa wanakuja set na hawashoot hio siku. Wanacome tu kudandia lunch na at least tu kukaa na wasee and I was one of those people.” she said.

Comeback

According to the actress, her spot is still available and if they come to an agreement, she will sure make the return.

“So bado kuna opening ya mimi kurudi that tukakaa chini kwa negotiating table na tuset everything straight because a lot of times unapata watu wanatoka kwa hizi jobs because kuna a few things that you guys have not agreed on and especially because nilikuwa na move to a different media house. So there are a few things that need to be set straight, they are not things that cannot be worked out so nikirudi ntarudi. Na nikaambiwa nirudi, I would go back because iko kwa heart yangu. Kila mtu hukuwa Papa Shirandula from Papa himself, to the crew to everyone we are a family and they always will be my family,” she said.

Thinking of dating Jacquey Nyaminde aka Wilbroda? Well, you will have to deal with her son first because if you can’t get along with the kid forget dating the mother.

For starters, Wilbroda is a single mother to Xolani Amin Okello. The Milele FM presenter parted ways the the kid’s father after a mutual agreement.

In an interview with the Nairobi, Wilbroda revealed that her baby daddy Francis Ngira was still actively involved in her son’s life.

“His father is actively involved in his life, so he is the first father figure. I also have very responsible male friends who are always there for us. In addition, I do my best to love, provide and discipline him when the need arises, besides praying a lot,” said Wilbroda.

Wilbroda asserts that she is not in a hurry to get in a new relationship. She explains that dating is a challenge to her because every decision she makes she has to factor in her son.

“At the moment, I am not in a hurry. Dating is challenging because you meet someone and later realise you cannot even introduce him to your son. Every major decision I make revolves around my son. If it is not healthy for him, it is not healthy for me,” says Wilbroda.

Jacquey Nyaminde popularly known as Wilbroda has written an open letter to Miguna Miguna highlighting the things that happened in Kenya while he (Miguna) is away in Canada.

Wilbroda read out her letter to Miguna during her show on Milele FM. The radio presenter recently quit Citizen Radio to join Milele FM.

“Dear Miguna, I Miss You so much. How is Canada? Since you left Obama has visited Kenya, Ugandan socialite Zari has visited Kenya, even American artist Rick Ross has visited. Now we are waiting for Nicki Minaj,” Wilbroda’s letter read in part.

Kenyan showbiz

The Milele FM presenter also updated Miguna Miguna on the recent development on Kenyan showbiz. She told Miguna that Willy Paul was now a secular singer.

“In the meantime, Wahu got saved, Amani too got saved. Kanze Dane now works at State House. Vera Sidika and Otile are the hottest couple. Eric Omondi is still a nuisance especially on social media. Willy Paul has released a new song. He ditched gospel music and now does secular music which he feels will get him enough fame,” Wilbroda’s letter read.

Miguna responds

Surprisingly Miguna Miguna couldn’t hold back his laughter after receiving the letter from Wilbroda. The self proclaimed NRM general responded to Wilbroda on Twitter.

Jacqueline Nyamide aka Wilbroda has opened up about a shocking incident that nearly made her run mad. The single mother of one reveals that her HIV positive nanny was secretly breastfeeding her son behind her back.

For starters, women living with HIV/AIDS can pass on the virus to a baby through breastfeeding. This explains why Wilbroda was mad when she discovered her HIV+ nanny was secretly breastfeeding her son.

Anonymous call

Speaking to Parents Magazine, the Papa Shirandula actress reveals that she received an anonymous call when she was in Mombasa informing her that her nanny was secretly breastfeeding her son whenever he cried.

Wilbroda quickly booked the next flight to Nairobi after receiving the anonymous tip. She rushed her son to the hospital to seek medical help.

“When my son was around 8 months old, I had to travel to Mombasa on a work assignment and so I left him under the care of a nanny whom I had trusted so much. While in Mombasa, I received an anonymous call from a person who informed me that my house help breastfed my son whenever he cried. I took the first flight back to Nairobi. I had to verify the information from my neighbours and in the process, I was informed that my nanny not only breastfeeds my son but was also living with HIV,” said Wilbroda.

Son tests negative

Wilbroda says she immediately fired her house help even after her son tested negative. She says she was tempted to hurt her nanny but she managed to control her anger.

“I didn’t sleep that night and had to rush to the hospital around midnight to have my son tested. Luckily he was fine. To cut the long story short I fired the nanny the following day. It took immense self-control to restrain myself from harming her,” said Wilbroda.

Citizen TV actress Wilbroda has shared that she once panicked after learning her house girl was breastfeeding her son, Xolani Amin Okello.

Jackeline Nyaminde AKA Wilbroda, shared that her house help breastfeeding her son scared was the fact why she was scared but because she had HIV.

Couldn’t sleep

She went on:

“I took the first flight back to Nairobi. I had to verify the information from my neighbours and in the process, I was informed that my nanny not only breastfeeds my son but was also living with HIV.”

She added the action left her disturbed and she couldn’t even sleep. She fired the house help the following day before she could do anything harmful to her.

Papa Shirandula’s actress Wibroda just turned a year older and to celebrate this special day she shared new information that many knew nothing about.

According to her she had been struggling with ‘alcohol addiction’ and even after trying to quit for so long – she always found an excuse to keep enjoying her drinks.

However, this year she managed to keep herself from talking any alcoholic drinks. With this possible..she also managed to hit the gym and judging from her latest photos she looks like she has lost quite some weight.

This year has been special to me in many ways. I finally got the courage to stop excuses and just do it. I finally quit drinking. I never knew I’d be able to until I tried. And I did it! i went to the gym and lost some weight. I was concerned for my health, so i did it! I made meaningful friendships. I got closer with family, closer to god. At one point in life, you realize that there are very few people who truly care. This year also marks my 10th year anniversary as Wilbroda in Papa Shirandula, a role that opened endless doors. I’m eternally grateful to friends and family for their love and support, and to almighty God for strength I didn’t think i had. Here’s to me. happy birthday to me,

Jacquey Nyaminde aka Wilbroda has given her social media followers something to talk about after sharing a photos where she is seen holding a couple of snakes on her hands.

Clearly she is not afraid of these sapients like most people are. From the comment section some of her followers wrote telling the actress how weird she is for posing with snakes and flaunting it on social media.

Though it is not wrong to do so, many were shocked with how comfortable she looked while holding them. Are they her pets? Well that I cannot confirm but what I do know for sure is that the type of snakes she was holding are pretty much harmless.
