Tanzanian Boxer Karim Mandonga Beats Kenya’s Daniel Wanyama

Tanzanian boxer Karim Mandonga lived to his hype after he beat Kenya’s Daniel Wanyama.

The unfit Wanyonyi could not withstand the bouts thrown by Mandonga who knocked him out via a Technical Knockout.

An elated Mandonga could not hide his joy after he was declared the winner, “I fought this fight for my country. This is a win for Tanzania. I am happy I have lived to my promise.”

Meanwhile Kenya’s Rayton Okwiri beat Tanzania’s Ally Ndaro in a non title match.

Okwiri beat Ndaro following a unanimous decision by the judges winning the bout with 80-72 points and 79-73 points.

The boxing event was held in the packed Tsavo Ballroom at the KICC.

The BetNare sponsored event had eight other bouts that drew boxers from all over Africa.

The first bout of the day saw Brian Munyoro beat Dennis Otieno from Kenya via a Technical Knockout in the third round.

Jean Collin of Mauritius also beat David Omollo of Kenya in a majority decision made by the judges.

Yanik Katuta of DRC was Technically Knocked Out by Kennedy St. Pierre of Mauritius just 52 seconds into the game.

In the women’s featherweight title, Parsedes Anyango sponsored by BetNare beat June Kavulani.
