Vegan Influencer Zhanna D’Art Dies of Starvation and Exhaustion

Zhanna D’Art, a Russian-born vegan influencer who lived in Sri Lanka, has died of starvation and exhaustion. She was 39 years old.

D’Art’s mother, Vera Samsonova, said that her daughter had been following an extreme raw food diet for the past 10 years, which consisted only of exotic fruits, sunflower seed sprouts, fruit smoothies, and juices.

Samsonova said that her daughter’s health had been declining for some time, and that she had been diagnosed with cholera and malnutrition. She said that D’Art had been hospitalized several times in the weeks leading up to her death.

D’Art’s death has raised concerns about the safety of extreme raw food diets. These diets can be difficult to follow and can lead to nutrient deficiencies. In some cases, they can even be fatal.

The Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics advises against following extreme diets, and recommends that people eat a balanced diet that includes a variety of foods from all food groups.

D’Art was a popular figure on Instagram, with over 100,000 followers. She used her platform to promote a vegan lifestyle and to advocate for raw food diets.

Her death is a reminder that even healthy diets can be dangerous if they are not followed properly. It is important to talk to a doctor before starting any new diet, especially if you have any underlying health conditions.
