Vera Sidika: Otile Brown restrained me from exploring my musical talent

Vera Sidika debuted as a singer a few days ago when she released her first solo ‘Nalia’. The bootyful socialite was inspired to drop her new song after being heartbroken again by Otile.

The song received a warm reception, it’s currently trending on position two on YouTube trends and also its on way to hit a million views.

Vera opened up her journey as a musician during an interview with Jalang’o and Alex Mwakidau on Milele FM. She revealed that she was inspired to sing while she was still dating Otile.

“When my ex was recording I used to take him to the studio and he would be in the booth and when he sings because I had heard the song a couple of times I would sing and the producer would be like wow you can sing, you should try music,” said Vera.

Vera further claimed that Otile discouraged her from singing. She reveals that Otile used to tell her to stop singing and instead focus on what she does best.

“My ex was like ‘I don’t think you should sing because you look like you are trying too hard and stuff, maybe you should just do what you do.’ But after I said why not give it a try.”
