Watch: Jacque Maribe goes to Nakuru with CS Kuria

Amidst the controversy surrounding Jacque Maribe’s purported appointment as Head of the Communication Department at the Public Service Performance and Delivery Management, the journalist was spotted accompanying CS Moses Kuria during his Nakuru inspection tour.

Earlier today, the Public Service Commission (PSC) debunked rumors regarding Maribe’s appointment, stating that they had not appointed her to the position, as claimed in social media posts attributed to Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria.

“The Public Service Commission has not appointed former Royal Media journalist Jacque Maribe as Head of Communication in the Ministry of Public Service, Performance, and Delivery Management, contrary to social media posts attributed to Cabinet Secretary Moses Kuria,” a portion of the statement read.

In a press release issued on Thursday, the commission clarified that they had no involvement in Maribe’s appointment to the position.

“For the record, the said position will be filled through a competitive recruitment process should a vacancy arise,” stated the release, attributed to Commission chair Anthony Muchiri.

“Kuria is quoted to have said that ‘it is true except that I am not the one who appointed her but the Public Service Commission,'” it further added.

The announcement follows Maribe’s recent debut at her alleged new role as the Head of the Communication Department at the Public Service Performance and Delivery Management.
