Yesu Wa Tongaren Taken To Police Custody For Questioning

Following Shakahola’s massacre, most churches with questionable practices have also been on the spotlight; with investigators having to make a prompt into the paramount issue. Pastors who were highlighted include Pastor Ezekiel and Yesu Wa Tongaren.

Apart from Mackenzy, the two have also been termed to be involved in peculiar religious practices.

Eliud Wekesa, popularly known as Yesu wa Tongaren has today presented himself to the police station for questioning after he was summoned.

This is after he was summoned by Bungoma police commander Francis Kooli.

Kooli summoned the leader of the New Jerusalem church for questioning over alleged questionable religious practices.

The preacher; who claims to be the real Jesus Christ, requested the Police to have mercy on him as he only teaches the Word of God.

“I know the police commander who has summoned me is a human being. I understood that he wants us to discuss church operations. I’ve been at the DC, OCS, and OCPD offices and nothing has happened. I have no other business other than preaching the word,” Wekesa said.

We’re currently awaiting Tongaren’s fate.
