Youthful Jubilee Senator Anwar Loitiptip tells president Uhuru to return favor to Lamu people

President Uhuru Kenyatta’s list of cabinet nominees has elicited mixed reactions. Politicians even from Uhuru’s own Jubilee party feel their people were sidelined in the cabinet nominations.

Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip has expressed his dissatisfaction with the final list of cabinet secretaries. The youthful lawmaker feels Uhuru should have nominated at least one CS from Lamu county.

Loitiptip says Lamu people played a vital role in ensuring Uhuru won the recently concluded presidential election. Coast was perceived to be Nasa stronghold but Loitiptip was elected on a Jubilee ticket against all odds.

Trounced veteran politician

The 28 year old senator led Jubilee campaigns in Lamu county. He trounced long serving and elderly politician Abu Chiaba in his first attempt to vie for a political seat.

“Namwomba rais Uhuru Kenyatta awakumbuke pia county ya Lamu ambayo ilikua mstari wa mbele kanda ya Pwani kuwapa serikali kuu ushindi,” said Senator Anwar Loitiptip.
