Law Society of Kenya Offers to Assist Esther Arunga

Esther Arunga’s story is the classic definition of fall from grace to grass. With a high-flying TV job and a budding lawyer who had just got admitted to the bar, Esther decided to take a completely different turn that no one saw coming, not even her folks.

It was later reported that she and her husband, Quincy Timberlake, had moved to Dubai before finally settling in Kallangur, Australia with their son.

It has been a smooth ride, at least according to them, until a fortnight ago when the couple was back on the limelight after their baby, Sinclair, allegedly fell down the stairs and unfortunately slipped away.

With all the drama and controversy surrounding her life, the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) has come out to offer its support to Esther and help her get back on track, reports Word Is.

According to Grace Kerongo of Word Is, LSK CEO told her, “Esther is our member at LSK and we are looking forward to having her back. If Esther comes back to Kenya, we will put her in a mentorship programme where she will be attached to a senior advocate who will mentor her.”

He added, “She will also be allowed to continue her legal education to comply with the laws. We will also waive the fees; she will not be penalised. We will do this till she is back on her feet.”

Apollo added, “Arunga is not a special case; we have had other members who have gone through situations. What we do is ensure they go through rehab and after treatment we reorient them, like the tea picking lawyer.”

“When you get back to Nairobi come over to LSK, we are ready to welcome you back”, was his parting shot to Esther.
