Leading Radio Presenter Claims His Life is in Danger

Leading radio presenter at a vernacular radio station has claimed that his life is in dangerv after he received threats from a politician. Jamlick Kirai a radio host at Mwariama FM claims that his life is in danger.

He has expressed fear for his life after Central Imenti MP Gideon Mwiti threatened him over a show he hosted two weeks ago, CareerPoint reports.

Problem began after a show Kirai hosted where area residents claimed that the MP had not done much since he was elected.

Kirai believes that he was threatened for letting people speak out against the MP an accusation which the MP has denied vehemently.

Mwariama FM 105.9  is a Kimeru radio station owned by Zanira Company Limited. The station has its broadcasting house and offices in Meru town. It’s the only radio station located in Meru town and thus the community gets media services easily.  It has coverage of the whole Meru Region and bordering counties.
