Learn About The Organization Bringing East Africa’s Biggest Artistes To Celebrate Kenya’s Jubilee

For the seventh year running, Sarakasi Trust brings you the biggest annual music extravaganza.

Sarakasi Trust is a performing arts development organization working toward building capacity in the performing arts sector in Kenya. The organizations’ core stems from a firm belief in the use of Culture for Development and the positive role that culture.

Since its establishment in 2001, the Trust has run a training and outreach program that continues to touch lives of thousands of children and young adults growing up in the slums of Nairobi every year.

In addition, Sarakasi’s lively and now famous international exchange and performance program has seen literally hundreds of artistes benefit from the experience and often the financial benefits that performing on the world’s stages can offer.

In line with that, they are organizing the Kenya @ 50 (#WeAreOne) edition of the Sawa Sawa Festival. The event will be held on 21st December at Arboretum from noon to 6.00 p.m. The festival will have an exclusive East African line up in order to embrace the togetherness spirit.

This year’s Festival is sponsored by HIVOS, DOEN, Royal Netherlands Embassy, Africa Music Festival Network, HOPE artists (USA), Classic 105 FM, Khewza Guest House, MOB Dj’s, Windsor Hotel & Golf Club and the Sarakasi Trust Hospital Project.
