Man Who Masterminded Garissa University Attack Has Been Killed (Photo)

Four senior Al Shabaab leaders have been killed in a US drone attack in Juungal area of Somalia, according to Kenya’s Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government, Standard reports.

Among those killed by the US drone is Gamadhere alias Mohammed Kuno alias Dulyadayn.

Kuno is believed to be the mastermind of the April 1 Garissa University attack which left more than 148 people dead, majority of them Garissa University students.

The attack was one of the deadliest ever on Kenyan soil and it was widely condemned by the international community.

The Interior Ministry spokesperson Mwenda Njoka said on his twitter handle:

“The drone strike that killed Al Shabaab leaders took place Thursday 2am at Juungal area, between Baardheere and Buur Hajje in Somalia”.

The government of Kenya put a bounty on Kuno’s head following the Garissa killings.
