Mbusii:Hakuna Mbrrr!!!

He is one of the youth’s most favourite and influencial radio presenter. Daniel Githinji Mwangi ‘Mbusii’ ‘aka’ Captainosis, ‘kijana aliye na ma-pozz’, grabbs his listeners with his ghetto slang and hillarious topics of discussion in Ghetto Radio 89.5. I have never come across a place filled with youths and missed to hear Mbussi on their radios. His live and vibrant personality, and real life talk, makes him top the hearts of many, if not all reggea fans.

His afternoon shows, containing hillarious sub-shows like ‘Nyahunyo nayahu nyahu’,

‘Goteana’, ‘kumba toto si toto’, keep me and many more locked on the channel. There is no doubt that this Rastaman is going places in the future seeing that his has a huge fanbase. His punchlines like ‘hakuna mbrrrrrr cha’ are now beeing used by youths all over the country. They are actually the new slang in the ‘streets’.

His latest addition to his show, the infamous ‘Bonoko Deh’, has ranked the show even higher. From a streetkid to a radio presenter, ‘Bonoko’ shares his experiences on the streets of Nairobi town and Ngara with his listeners. Uplifted by Mbusii, the two are a force to be recognised.

Playing Reggea music all day and closing by the remixed Lord’s Prayer, Mbusii is indeed a natural on the airwaves.
